We went here opening weekend during the morning hours and there was no one there. Not one other customer walked in during our time here. It was honestly very sad to see as we had been seeing ads pop up places but with zero customers, not sure how they will continue operating. Also, almost half of their menu was not available at this time. The good: as we were the only customers, all staff were coming by to ask how things were. No crazy talking over people. The bad: The restaurant was fairly clean, but there were no hand towels in the women's bathroom. One of the four plates we received for our table had food on it. I wiped it down with a tissue. There is no tandoor setup at the moment. The menu is way overpriced for the quantity of food being served.Food: we ordered a mango lassi, bun kabob, daga kabob, chicken karahi, garlic naan, plain naan, and a paratha.Mango lassi - it was watered down. Missing real mango flavor and the tartiness of the yogurt. Bun kabob - this was fairly good. The egg with daal patty and onions with the chutney was authentic. It's a little pricey, though, for the size. Daga Kabob - this was the star of our experience. The meat was super tender and melt in your mouth with enough spice. But for $20 a plate, I am expecting a lot more. I would also suggest adding a tamarind or green chutney to complimemt this dish. I also found parts of this dish to be a little cold. I'm not sure why.Chicken karahi (half) - My husband liked this dish, but for me, it had too much of a homely taste. This is the type of karahi I make at home, so it wasn't anything special for me. Also, I didn't expect to be served 5 pieces of leg in one dish. They need to have a variety of peices of chicken. The spice level (we ordered spicy) was good. Naan - okay, so how do you open a restaurant and serve people naan out of a packet. I find this practice to be super irritating. It's not justifiable in any sense. I can go pick up from the local grocery store if I want this experience. Paratha - Again, this was a homestyle paratha. I feel like it was also a store bought vs. Hand-made, but I could be wrong. Overall, I think they need to either decrease their prices or increase their plate sizes. It is their opening weekend, and I wish them the best.

Being a weekend halwa puri is a must and we don't get authentic anywhere until we didn't find food street halal cuisine.. I can't say enough how good it was.. the halwa was made in milk and aptly sweet and the cholay and aloo tarkari were perfectly complimenting it.. the aloo tarkari was achari aloo and it was bomb... the puri were crispy and well done... we had to order extra puri as it was soo good.. we ordered chicken tikka masala with plain naaan.. the tikka had the Smokey flavor of clay oven... and the gravy was nicely seasoned with mild spices (kid friendly) My husband tried their bun Kabab which was authentic Karachi style... and their chai was a cherry on the cake the ambiance is nicely done with frames of famous streets of Pakistan... They had a separate area it can host a good number of people at one goAs far as the service goes the food is freshly prepared so there is a bit of wait but it's worth it it's truly a foodies delight Cant recommend this place enough

Start off: Staff was friendly and helpful. (Just stingy with the napkins)Restaurant was clean and pleasant. Paya was delicious.... but............... EVERYTHING ELSE, Needs a lot of work... lets just say didn't want to take the leftovers home!!!THE MAIN issue: frozen, packet naan, at 2.5 for regular and 3 bucks for garlic... ARE YOU kidding me??? I get you don't have a tandoor, but then at least let a brother know, and still gonna charge me REGULAR Naan pricing? smh. In addition food was nothing restaurant quality, its like eating food at a random persons home. All the food felt like it was made before and just reheated. Nothing worth remembering.LOTS OF Potential, but as of right now, skip it till you have a real review.all these 5 stars have to be family and friends who don't aren't brave enough to give a real review.

I'm so happy I saw an advertisement of this place on SoCal foodie page on FB. I went there today to check it out. Loved the decor, the ambiance, the food and the owners were super super friendly, & welcomed me! TY:)I ordered Chicken Biryani and Bihari kabob roll. Chicken biryani had flavor and delicious, the only negativity about it was there were only 2 pieces of chicken in there, otherwise not bad! The Roll was DELICIOUS. It had some sweet tangy flavored sauce which enhanced the flavor. I can't wait till I go back for their other creations. The restroom was immaculate. Plenty of parking. I'd definitely recommend this place

My friend and I went here on whim, looking for some halal food after some pretty intense pickleball (don't laugh, it's a great sport if you give it a try!) Admittedly, we didn't do any research beyond looking at the restaurant's name, "Food Street Halal Cuisine," a name suggesting that (1) the restaurant serves street food; and (2) the street food is halal.A visibly Muslim woman greeted us and confirmed the food is halal, which is great. Beyond that, the place didn't quite meet our expectations. Just based on the name, I was hoping for shawarma. But this place does not serve street food of any kind. They serve typical Indian/Pakistani dishes -- chicken tikka masala, chicken tandoori, nihari, etc. We wanted something quick, and so we ordered the most street-foody thing on the menu, chicken kabob rolls and samosas, with a side of chicken tandoori. We were the only ones in the restaurant, but it took over 40 minutes for us to get our food -- again, something we would never expect from a place that titles itself as "street food." In terms of the food itself, I thought the samosas were magnificent. It could be because I was ravenously hungry, but I could have eaten 12 of them. Delicious. The chicken kabob rolls were also delicious, and I really enjoyed the paratha wrap, but to the business owner, please, you need to put more chicken in the wrap -- like at least 2 or 3x as much chicken! As crafted, there was at most one small piece of chicken in each bite, and several bites had no chicken at all, just bread and vegetables. In terms of service, I would say there is room for improvement. Again, we were the only people in the entire restaurant, and not once while we were waiting did someone come to fill up our entirely empty water cups, explain why the wait for our food was so long, or ask us how we were doing. In terms of ambience, it's an eclectic setting. I'm not huge on ambience, but there were some bare minimums that need to be addressed -- like running out of paper towels in the restroom. This place has potential, but to the owner, I implore you to take this constructive criticism into consideration as you continue to build your business. Maybe I came on an off day. I am often in Placentia, and I would love to be able to recommend this place to my friends and family.

I'm not one to write reviews, but this was the worst Indian food I have ever had. First of all, the rice took 40 minutes to cook and wait for. We ordered a chicken kebab, rice, aloo gobi and samosas. The chicken "kebab" was chicken wrapped in a dough and was inedible. Hard as a rock. The rice should have been the first to be ready. The aloo gobi is not authentic/nor does it taste like aloo gobi. Unfortunate experience.
