As a long time El Pollo Loco customer it is tough for me to write this review. This particular review is for the location on Newport and First but I've seen these issues consistently at several local Pollo Locos, so this may be more of a statement on the company as a whole.I've had some bad fast food restaurant experiences, but this takes the cake. Everything that could be burned was. The chicken? Burned. The quesadillas? Burned beyond belief. So there are really two issues here:1) They can't seem to cook their chicken or quesadillas (who burns quesadillas) properly. Everything is overcooked, almost to the point of being chicken jerky and cardboard.2) They are fully comfortable serving their customers completely unacceptable food.Bottom line is that the quality control of this restaurant, as well as many of the other El Pollo Loco Southern California locations as a whole is awful. They either burn the chicken (name one other chicken restaurant that serves burned chicken) or leave out multiple items (this has happened to me more times than I can count - see some of the other reviews). El Pollo Loco as a whole used to be my family's go-to for a solid healthy meal on the fly, but that certainly won't be the case anymore. Completely unacceptable!

I love that citrus fire grilled chicken! I am a fan of all of their menu items. My usual is the 2-piece dark meat chicken meal with rice & mashed potatoes, but today I got the classic tostada. Perfectly filling, and the creamy cilantro dressing is so good too. Next time I'll have to try the new burrito grillers. I use the rewards app every time and have gotten quite a few $5 Loco rewards dollars to use next time. I eat here often enough so it only makes sense. The app also has random coupons, but you can only redeem one discount per order. The only thing you have to expect is a long wait during the lunch rush. That's just how it is with this chain at all locations, but it's worth it.

Again I come to this location and of couse the food is good but they forget half of what you order and its incorrect. They really don't care at this location, the employees don't check the ticket with what they put in the order. This place would be better if we just get what we order.

Hmmmm!!Im a chicken type of person always eat chicken but this location was just low energy customer service it seem like nobody was smiling everybody was all over the place it seem the staff was young but if they had a strong leadership manager they would be all shining and smiling like stars ILL be going to a different pollo loco for my chicken orders

Not ok. For months. I've tried a few time and every single time the employees are more concerned with gossiping and almost throwing food out the window at the guests than taking their time to get orders right. Drove home to discover my order more than incorrect. But if you try to check in the bag at the window, they glare at you and harshly say everything is there and to move along. Not acceptable. This location needs to close or have the staff completely retrained.

I can't even rate this location with a 1 rating. We went exited about the double chicken tostada that we had seen advertised on TV. The tostada turned out to be a greasy shell with almost all wilted lettuce. The beans and rice advertised were almost absent. The cubed chicken was burned. The whole thing was cold. It wasn't a pleasant experience. The customer service wasn't much better. I will definitely stay away from El Pollo Loco in the future, especially from this location.

El pollo loco from tustin customer service is bad. Bad attitude employees specifically from this girl name Leslie. The employees always get the wrong order. Employees need to focus on their job position and not talking about anything else because they are not paying attention to the customer while ordering at drive thru.
