El Cortijo Grill Peruvian Cuisine

They did not have Peruvian Options which were seen online on their menu. There wasn't any Leche de Tigre or any Ceviches. Do not trust the Menu. Call ahead.Edit: the food is really good coming from a Latino with vast taste in Latino culture food. The flavors are strong but not overwhelming. The empanadas are pretty good. They have chicken and meat and even shrimp. The lomo saltado is pretty good. It doesn't have the smoked flavor but it is still pretty well made. Their niche is the comercial area of civic center in Santa Ana so don't come here expecting rich flavors. Expect pretty good prices and good food.

Came here for lunch they have a 10 dollar special for bowls. It was very flavorful I love Peruvian food. This will be my quick go to spot when at work.

I've been working for the Santa Ana Civic Center for several years, and there have been several restaurants that come and go trying to attract the work crowd from the Civic Center. Hopefully, The Cortijo Grill stays, because the food is top-notch!When you first walk in, there are no decorations or music; however, the restaurant is very clean. The server was extremely cordial and helpful, making the overall experience enjoyable.As for the food, my coworker and I order the saltado, spaghetti, and the ceviche. The flavors were out of this world. The saltado was amazing, and the spaghetti was flavorful. The ceviche was also extremely fresh. Not to mention the plentiful serving sizes for each dish! Overall, I know this place just opened, but I will definitely be back and try the other items on the menu!

I've tried this a couple times and it's been pretty good each time. The first time I tried the aguadito soup which was very good and flavorful. Now I tried the grilled chicken sandwich. It's a bit confusing since the online menu to order is different than the full menu items; this chicken sandwich wasn't even on it but the employee told me about it. It was a simple sandwich with chicken, lettuce, tomato and a kind of aji mayo that had a good kick. The bread seemed a French loaf but soft. The fries could've been more crispy. I also tried a pineapple mango strawberry smoothie which was very refreshing. The first location is the Express on 17th and this one is newer and doesn't look like it's quite set up yet. It feels like you're at a banquet hall, which they also offer. Service was good, the lady was friendly. The entrees are a bit pricey for lunch but I would try something else next time.

Was excited to try this place. The food was pretty good but I've had better. The bowl was a bit light on protein (beef). Looking forward to trying a sandwich next. The interior is spacious and clean. I think it has great potential.

Taste just as good as the original. Food quality is always up to my satisfaction.

El Cortijo Grill is honestly very good, they have great staff who is very attentive to your every need. They keep the restaurant very clean and keep it well kept. It's been a while since the 901 w Civic center building has had a restaurant since that one crazy sandwich place. (Story for another day) El Cortijo Grill is a welcomed addition. The Food itself is very tasty , they have a really large menu and I have only had couple things... the $10 dollar lunch bowls which are great!! Do wish there was more protein but otherwise very tasty. I have tried their new Tacos on taco Tuesday which are out of this world the taco de Ensenada is amazing, I'm not a big fan of fish but this taco was seasoned very well that I even enjoyed it. I've also tried their Asada and breakfast burritos both which are good! The Asada one is huge and packed! Overall experience at this place was good. Also highly recommend the water de lemon !! Very refreshing in this hot SoCal weather!

Peruvian cuisine is known for its diverse flavors, blending indigenous ingredients and techniques with influences from Spanish, African, and Asian cultures. First time customer and I am impressed the food was amazing and the flavors were perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant its an excellent choice!

I came out of court and found this Peruvian spot hidden in a office area but the place is legit Peruvian Cuisine. Really delicious aroma and I wanted to order everything. If u in Santa Ana I really recommend this spot. Try the ceviche and the lechon sandwich yum!

The most delicious lomo saltado in south Orange County! I have over looked this place for years and I'm so sad about it but so happy I finally came. The service is exceptional as well! You will not regret coming to El Cortijo! I'm excited to try more plates!
