Dory Deli

Stayed in NB visiting family and my niece, who is a local, suggested Dory's. So happy she did! Very cool spot! They had the friendliest, best staff. And the food!!!We tried to get there before 11:30 on a Saturday in January for their breakfast. I had looked at their menu on Ye!p and knew I wanted the breakfast sandwich! Our daughter walked faster than us and beat us just in time to order it for herself. We made it a few minutes later and of course didn't throw a fit about them not serving breakfast anymore. It was after 11:30! So I went with my second choice of fish tacos (delish!). My husband and son each got protein bowls and they were also delicious! Our sweet daughter shared a few bites of her breakfast sandwich with me and I will be going back for just for that! Omg good!Get the espresso martini!It is a walk up order at the counter place and it is pretty busy. We didn't have to wait, but pretty sure we grabbed the last open table at 11:30 am on a winter Saturday. So good, great ambiance, and great service! Will be back next time we are in NB!

Very packed on a Sunday! You order at the counter and then pick a table. Big menu. Lots of families and kids! Loud music, close to the beach. The sandwich was soooo good! Fresh ingredients, the bread was delicious. Would come back!

Always my go to spot when I go to Newport!! Ordered the poke and it was amazing (as always)! Avocado tacos were great as well. Staff is super nice! & always helpful. Espresso martini is one of my favorites.

Beautiful location, great ambience, great food I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed. Amazing service amazing food you can't go wrong with the location. Everything is clean from the bathroom to the floors to the counters to the tables. The cappuccino was outstanding as the food keep up the good work see you soon. Great place for parties get-togethers from the beach breakfast to lunch to dinner you won't be disappointed

If you're looking for a delicious spot to grab a bite while enjoying a day at the beach in Newport, this local deli is a must-visit! Full bar options as well.What really stood out to me, though, was the friendly staff. They were welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed for a great meal. Plus, there is a ton of indoor seating, which eliminates long wait times even during peak hours.

Updated review since I love this place!! Big fan of the espresso martinis, especially the frozen espresso martini. Love coming here to sit at the window and people watch. My friends always have the best time as well when I bring them to Dory!!

Located right on the Newport peninsula! I've been going here ever since it was only a deli shop. Just had the chance to sit down and to try their in house meals. Their menu has a lot of potential. There are many items I'd like to try.Came here on a Thursday for lunch with no wait at the bar. We ordered micheladas to start. They were as expected for a bar in Newport (Except for Sharkeez, they have the best michi's.) These were a little watered down. Food:Orange Chicken Cauliflower 4/5: These were delicious however slightly overly dressed. Some pieces were either too salty or soggy. I'll probably order these next time with sauce on the side. Caesar Salad Wrap 1/5: I subbed the spring mix for romaine. Everything about the wrap was so dry. Both the tortilla and the chicken felt way overcooked. There was definitely not enough Caesar dressing in the wrap. I do like that the restaurant offers healthier/cleaner options compared to the rest of the restaurants on the peninsula. Might have to opt for one of the burgers or sandwiches the next time I visit.

Came here for lunch- I like the feel of the place! It's got a chill & relaxed ambience. It's right on the beach & has a great open view. Seems like a good place to hang out & grab a drink. Food: I got the Poke Bowl- 5/10- the tuna was OK, the "crab salad" was just chunks of imitation crab (not good), cucumbers inside were good but the tuna didn't taste very fresh & the chunks of fake crab were a big turn off. Decently large portion though & fillingFriend got the club sandwich- I had a nibble and that seemed good! Bread was crispy & it had lots of good stuff in there. She gave it an A+Fries- 8/10: well seasoned & good! I liked that they didn't taste or feel drenched in oilQuick service I'd come back! I'd get something else though

One of my favorite Balboa Peninsula restaurants. The oceanfront salad is so good and the frozen espresso martinis are amazing.

First time here . Poke nachos are really good .Clam chowder was tasty as well. Will definitely be back .
