Din Ho Chinese Cuisine

After 10 years of take out orders, I actually ate in sit down at the table for the first time this evening. It's a nice linear room with booths on both sides with fresh flowers on the Center round tables. Quite pleasant and comfortable. I have my regular to go orders, but craving something new opted for Shrimp in Lobster Sauce, and wanting leftovers, also ordered Kung Pow Beef. Shrimps were tender, fresh, and bathed in the rich Lobster sauce...a winner for my new dish! Kung Pow Beef was a change up from my forever chicken with a completely different delightful flavor. Where the Shrimp was light and richly subtle, the Beef dish was dense and heavy with thin strips of tender delicious meat After chatting with the waiter/ owner about the oils used in Chinese cooking, I and my leftovers exited with a very satisfied smile. Sweet and sour shrimp was not cooked! Soggy wet batter was thick and uncooked on shrimp. Should be crispy!Made me sick, gagged me trying to eat it.Last time I'll be eating this

This place has gone down hill big time! I want Nancy back! She was the best! Happy she retired a few years ago....The food isn't great anymore. House chicken doesn't taste like it used to... none of the food does. I don't understand how you don't have chicken for over 2 weeks for a Chinese chicken salad??? When I asked why, the girl said she doesn't know she just works there..‍‍This used be our favorite place. We got it twice a month. Yuck! Not anymore. Nancy please come back!!

This place has gone downhill with the new ownership. The food still had good flavor but the service was dreadful. There were only 3 tables so not sure why the challenge. We were served the crispy noodles to start but they no longer give you soup, salad or tea. Ordered 3 dishes and rice and they all came spaced 5-10 minutes apart so we couldn't eat them together. One of the dishes was wrong. We had to ask for everything - they didn't stop by once. It also seemed as if they were bothered to be asked to refill the water glass. Just overall bad service. Way different from how it used to be. Again, the food is good, it was mainly about the service that made it a poor experience. Maybe order to go and you might be ok.

The food and the service. The guy up front was a joke, rude and he over charged me. $55.00 for 2 lunch orders plus soup to go. Food was old, no flavor, brown broccoli. He forgot our salads and cookies plus everything was cold. ( we had 2 for 1 online specials but charged us for 2 ) what was this about?

This place is great! Was hesitant to try it based on the rating and reviews but typically for good Chinese places it's 3 stars which is actually a good sign. We ordered takeout and the food still tasted good at home later. They have an online ordering system which gives you 10% off your first order which is nice. There's a convenience fee but most likely the discount will more than offset it depending on what you're ordering. The orange chicken, kung pao chicken, and cashew chicken were all great and not salty tasting. The daily soup was good and we decided to try upgrading for the egg flower soup but it ended up tasting a little bland. Inside the restaurant looked nice and clean if we ever decide to eat in. Overall we're adding this place to one of our spots, especially with the Lake Forest gift card eligible here!

The food was terrible. The hot and sour soup was gelatinous, the orange chicken was over cooked with no flavor. The restaurant was empty, yet it took forever for them to make our food. Another couple was there before us and they had been waiting for a very long time. They charge way too much for awful food. Do not waste your time or money. We will not be back.

We've tried this place a few times and every time we regret it! My husband just picked up magnolia beef for me and it was horrible! No sauce no sweet taste of teriyaki! Bland no seasoning at all. He ordered the noodles same thing! How are they still in business? Time to switch cooks! The almond and fortune cookie were good!

Very authentic Chinese food, their Won Ton soup is my favorite. I also love their beef broccoli!

Have been going to this place for 20 years . The owner retired and now this place has gone down hill . Recent visit horrible customer service . Had to ask for tea, napkins , coke refill, messed up the bill and the wonton strips tasted a year old . Sad to see a place with good food but horrible customer service.
