Hands down the best prices for seafood. Best deal on king crab and Otoro. The shop knows what they are talking about so don't hesitate to ask questions

If you're looking for high quality seafood (sushi grade, etc), this is an amazing place to buy some. Their prices best even some of the Japanese markets in costa mesa. The salmon, scallops and the toro were so amazingly fresh. We even opted for some a5 wagyu and wow it was so delicious. We were first time customers and we are definitely coming back as the guy working the Sunday morning was super friendly.

Lots of fresh seafood for a reasonable price! The worker was friendly and helped us right when we walked in the door. I like that we can buy any amount that caters to our needs. We were cooking for two on July fourth and only needed 6 oysters and one pound of salmon for sashimi. Packed with ice bags after purchasing to keep the seafood cold and fresh. We will definitely be back to try the other fresh seafood options!

I am done with this place after an awful oyster experience. I bought a box of oysters from this place before with a good experience. I came back today and made a smaller purchase. Instead of getting a whole box, I opted for 30 Kussi oysters at $2 a piece. I can tell you the damn oysters were mostly almost dead. It's the type where you eat the first piece, almost threw up, and hesitated to try a 2nd piece. If you do buy oysters here, just go for the whole box. After this bad experience and the outrageous price, I don't know about coming back again.

First time coming here for HH. Nice decor, interior and bathroom were clean. We ordered the delicious raw oysters...can't beat their price, $1.50 each with minimum of a dozen per order during HH. The King crab legs special IMO weren't worth the $27.99 price because there were 3 skiny legs and two of them had off putting sections to eat, shriveled and tasted weird. I had to wait to ask for tools to open up the very spiny, prickly legs because 1 server was in the kitchen area and one teenage server was busy playing video games on his phone. Garlic noodles were ok and fried ducks were a bit dried.

My go to from now on for my oyster & uni needs. I used to go to restaurants and order oysters, which y'all know ain't cheap and if it's cheap it tastes cheap. I buy em from D&D Seafood and save a shuck load of money by cleaning and shucking it myself. I actually prefer to shuck, it's fun and rewarding. I like this place cuz he carries a wide variety and the ones I like too. I don't have to buy in bulk and eat the same oyster. One person eating friendly. On occassion I'll bring em to my friends' on a friday, they loooove how fresh they taste. That's coming from people who eat at 3-5 star restaurants. When uni is stocked I snag em, especially if they're delivered that day. Waaay fresher and better than the ones you get at the supermarket or many sushi restaurants. Beats a trip all the way to Santa Barbara. They also have wagyu and tomahawk steaks. Wagyu is cut to order. So you can get a thick or thinner slice. I'm a medium rare girl but I actually preferred the accidental medium well better (overcooked it in oven). The fat tasted better cooked that way. I split in two, was a big cut. Danny's the guy to go to, thanks for your excellent service man!As you can see by the pics, I go here a lot. And will keep on coming back!-MP.S. I went through and read all the 1 star reviews, some valid points but most were quite uh how you say, lacking complete reason and logic. Too salty? You do know the sea controls that right? It's not like there's a person standing there with a salt shaker secretly over-salting your food. Rule of thumb first come first serve? Wait your turn. Asking for 2 of every oyster? No, that's not an unreasonable request at all (rolls eyes). Yeah party of 18 please, all separate checks. Not sure why the "Elite" one star review is so low, but this review is an honest one AND a fair one. ^_^

Had a potluck to attend, so stopped by here for some Peruvian scallops on a half shell. They now sell a pack of 1 dozen scallops for $15, which is great because I just paid $26 for 5 Peruvian scallops at a restaurant. Don't forget to get some of their fresh wasabi packet for $5 - this really elevates the dish, way way better than any tubed wasabi. We already had masago and ponzu so didn't need to pick those up, but they have it if you need. Simply rinse the scallops (helps remove the icy particles), and assemble. I promise you, this is always a hit at parties. Cash or credit card - they charge an extra 3% if you use card, so just bring cash.
