After 2 early morning bball games, coffee was a must. Yelp helped me find this HIDDEN GEM located in between residential homes in Irvine. Though small inside, the patio is quaint and comforting. Friendly and helpful service. We went with their signature drink that got them on the map! BLUE HUMMINGBIRD LATTE: 2x espresso shot with whole or oat milk (we chose oat milk) with....drum roll please....House made syrup with PANDAN & spirulina. They nailed it. Coffee was rich and bold with a sweetness that made me smile! Blueness from the spirulina, fragrance from pandan and richness from coffee...it was beautiful and delicious. Thank you. Pistachio croissant: oh man! It complemented my coffee some well. Buttery with crumbled pistachio on top and a mild pistachio filling. Craving one right now. Delish. Highly recommend!!! Store name alone brings comfort to me.

Stopped by Cup on the way to the Great Park earlier today. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was so cute as the store was decorated for the holidays. The coffee itself was extremely lacking.I ordered an orange cardamom latte with oat milk and I didn't taste any orange or cardamom. It tasted like watered down coffee without any sweetener.My partner ordered the Blue Hummingbird latte with whole milk and that tasted great. I don't know what went wrong with my drink, but it wasn't good for the $7 I paid for it.

Cup by Blue Hummingbird is a lovely little coffee shop with a welcoming staff. I've usually gone during low traffic and been greeted warmly. I tried their cortado, and it's nicely balanced--the right combination of espresso and milk, smooth and satisfying.What really impressed me, however, was their signature Blue Hummingbird Matcha. It's distinct, not overly milky, and strikes the ideal balance of sweetness without dominating the matcha's earthy notes.

Matcha was good. The guy who took our order was really cheery and very helpful when we were ordering. They have some seating outside but it is a grab and go kind of quick cafe.

Ordered a burrito it was disappointing, basically heat up food. It was not good at all but the hot latte was decent. Nice location and sitting area. The service was good and efficient overall.

We were searching for a good cafe this afternoon and found this nearby on coincidence. The cashier was really welcoming and recommended a new drink on their menu, but after learning that we weren't locals, he switched to recommending their classic signature drink as a good first step into their menu. We were convinced and switched our order. I told him I liked matcha and Hojicha so he then recommended another seasonal drink they had for the fall, which was the maple bourbon latte that you could opt for with either hojicha or chai.Our drinks:* Blue Hummingbird Latte with oat milk and espresso* Blue Hummingbird Latte with almond milk and matcha * Coldbrew * Maple Bourbon Latte with oat milk and HojichaThe cashier also suggested I start the hojicha latte at half sweet, since they could always sweeten it more for me if I didn't like it. I was so glad he suggested that, because half sweet was perfect! The Blue Hummingbirds each were so unique and delicious, whether with matcha or espresso. The cold brew was strong! And my hojicha latte was my favorite of the bunch. Really impressed by their flavor combinations here.I also noticed he knew a different customer by name and also took care to learn my husband's name (since he ordered everything). What a lovely hidden gem! This coffee shop is in a mostly residential area and while it's more of a coffee for to-go place, there are seating areas outside. We got the Iced Blue Hummingbird Latte with Oat Milk and a classic Cappuccino. They also had a lot of specialty drinks and many seasonal ones that I'm excited to try next time.The Blue Hummingbird Latte had a unique flavor. I want to say that there's a savory profile but nothing extreme. It's in the sense that you want to keep drinking it, sort of like when you eat caramel popcorn. The Cappuccino was well made and perfectly balanced, exactly what you hope to expect for a cappuccino.The staff was friendly and the ambiance was cozy. It would be nice if there were some options for seating indoors, especially when it's hot out. Although sitting outside does mean you can see some cute pups on their walks. Overall I enjoyed my first time here and would come back to try more items on their menu.

I am updating my review after learning about their service. I really love the coffee here. They have fun latte flavors and is always very fast. I did not realize that they only serve gelato in the summer time.

It's this cozy little coffee spot I love popping into during the week for the perfect cappuccino. I don't find it too crowded making it the ideal place to relax or even get some work done if you're working from home. Plus, the croissants are always fresh and flaky!

I stopped by this coffee spot after getting some cava in the area. The location is in an odd spot, it's in the middle of all these Irvine apartments. Regardless, I wanted to give this place a try since it had great reviews.Service/Ambiance: Service was quick and friendly. It was one woman running the place. The interior of the place is very modern and clean. They don't have seating instead but there's outdoor seating. Drink Consensus: We ordered the Hummingbird Latte and the BHB Matcha Latte. My boyfriend rated his hummingbird latte a 8/10. It's not too sweet and flavorful. I give my matcha latte a 5/10. I liked that it had a light sweetness to it but it was giving green milk. If they get the matcha to milk ratios right, this could be good. I wouldn't recommend this drink. Overall, I don't see myself coming back since I am a matcha girl but if you like coffee, give this place a try.
