The food, which usually for a speakeasy I would expect to be bad, was incredible! We got the tomato soup thing and the shrimp/meat/chicken skewers. The drinks were superb as well. Loved the presentation, service, and taste. Honestly, I was super impressed. The only thing that was slightly annoying was that we came on a football night and the speakeasy is not really secluded from the Bacchus restaurant sound wise. But that did not bother me. You will definitely still feel like you're in a campsite. Awesome place and would come back.

What a fun speakeasy, hidden away in an Irvine strip mallCozy Pine is a speakeasy, that's open daily, located inside Bacchus Bar & Bistro. To visit this location, they want you to join the waitlist on Yelp, and check in at the front of Bacchus with a host when you arrive. While the menu is small (both in term of options and the size of what you get), everything we got was delicious and crafted with care.On the Saturday night we came, we checked in early on Yelp. While we showed up at our time, and still had to wait for about an hour before there was room for us inside Cozy Pine. We were informed when we arrived that there was a party of ten ahead of us, and there really wasn't a lot of room inside Cozy Pine. No worries, we could pre-game at the bar in Bacchus while we waited.Cozy Pine is decorated in such a cute way. The entrance is through a bookshelf, along one of the walls in Bacchus. While it is very cozy while you're inside, it's a very fun build out and theme for a speakeasy.PROPS: Unique decorations and delicious food and drinkSLOPS: Small menu and longer waits on busy nights

It's soooo close to perfect... if it weren't for the music. It's super aggressive banjo/fiddle/yeehaw type music every single song, and pretty loud. If they turned it down about 30% and played stargazing-type calm music it would be perfect. But as it is now, I get sort of anxious sitting there and feel like we need to hurry and leave. Otherwise, love the place. The ambiance is super fun and unique. The drinks were good, especially the nonalcoholic ones. I was very impressed! The menu is cute snacky food, but not really any true dinner options (which is totally fine). Worth a visit!

What a delightful surprise in Irvine of all places. I hadn't been to Bacchus in probably 12 years or so, but it's always held a special place in my heart for being where I made some of my best friends ever. It was wonderful to learn that they branched out into cocktails more and had their own speakeasy. Exactly as named, it's a cozy little experience where you are secluded away from the wine bar while still being in the middle of it. Aside from the well curated and thoughtful cocktail and nibbles menu (which is themed to the setting with things like s'mores as well a phenomenal tomato bisque), the most impressive thing is the sound design. You truly cannot hear any of the outside wine bar and you can almost trick yourself into thinking you're up at the cabin in Big Bear.Jenny helped us out and she is part of the whole experience as the consummate professional and host. She's smart, personable, and really takes care to make everyone feel welcome.

Coziest bar of them all. Hidden inside an innocent-looking sliding door, is a spookily decorated (just briefly for Halloween), speakeasy! We loved the service, and the Apex Predator is definitely one of their star cocktails! Camp Anawanna is a really cool s'mores cocktail, but the bourbon came on too strong for some friends. Overall, such a vibe, but also very popular and with limited seating. I'd highly suggest it if you want to go out on a weeknight :)

I know I start off all my speakeasy reviews like this, but some times you've just got to flex your credentials up front I have been to 272 speakeasies/tiki bars across the nation. Thus when I talk about a speakeasy, I know of which I speak. With that said... Cozy Pine is absolutely adorable! This place wins out on ambience alone. I bit cramped to earn the "perfect date night" designation, but pretty close none the less. The service was great and the munchies were a welcome addition to the menu. As for mixology... it was pretty straight forward and safe, but damn tasty. We sampled everything on the menus and The Camp Anawanna was the clear favorite. Had such fun that I'm already planing my next trip to the Great White North... in Irvine.

I've been wanting to check out Cozy Pine for quite some time...and let me tell you, it was well worth the wait! Although it was smaller than what I had imagined, it was perfectly intimate for a first date night. We did not order food as we just came from a dinner, but Jenny, our bartender was absolutely amazing! She was personable, always checking in, and fun to talk to. The drinks, Camp Anawanna, were great along with the Scout Troop and Apex Predator. All drinks were creative and well-crafted. Overall, the ambiance was great, the drinks were tasty, and Jenny, you should give her a raise! She really takes ownership and initiative to make the vibes extra fun for a camp themed speakeasy!

Super cute! Lovely atmosphere and they really committed to the theme. The drinks were great, we only tried the deviled eggs food-wise but they were quite tasty. The space is quite cozy, but that's to be expected of a speakeasy! Our waitress was lovely!

Such a cozy little speakeasy with a campsite theme! Arrived early so we could choose which camp table to sit at, and throughout dinner we were treated to fun camp-themes cocktails and light food. Will definitely be referring friends to this little restaurant!

What a cute little speakeasy! It's pretty small and tight and hard to get a reservation, but even on a weekday night this place was packed! The service was phenomenal. The food was also really good, the skewers are a must. Some of the appetizers are overpriced for the portions they give, but delicious none the less. They have also have mocktail options available which is great if people in the group did not want to drink. Great wine selections as well.
