I've been a member of Corner Bakery Rewards, and I've earned enough points to earn a $5 off $15+ reward on a quarterly basis, but the reward is only good for the first month of each quarter. I usually frequent the Lakewood location, but enjoy trying the other locations to see how they compare. This location in Irvine is at Harvard Place Shopping Center on the southwest corner of Main and Harvard not too far off the 405. However, there isn't a freeway exit for Harvard, so if you want to stop by, you'll want to get off at Culver or Jamboree and head north towards Main St.When I arrived about an hour before closing time, I went up to the register to place my order. The cashier (Xiomara?) was so dull and lifeless it felt like her energy level was completely zapped that evening. She clearly didn't want to be working. In order to claim my reward, I had to provide my phone number. I usually go for a Choose Two at Corner Bakery since I feel you can get the most bang for your buck that way. A Choose Two is $13.99, and a premium entree item is a $1.59 upcharge. Before prices went up, it used to be $12.99 for a Choose Two, and a premium entree was only a $1 upcharge. My how times have changed in just a matter of a few years, and I've also kept in mind the decline in quality over those years.Today, my preferred Choose Two is the Power Greens & Grains Salad and a premium pasta, which there are 5 of at Corner Bakery. I went with the Pesto Cavatappi, which is simply grilled chicken, cavatappi pasta, and pesto cream. A Choose Two comes with a side, and I like to vacillate between the two salads, Mixed Greens & Classic Caesar, depending on my mood at the time. I went with the Caesar this time. After paying, Xiomara gave me a red numbered stand rather than a white card that other locations usually give you to place on top of the salt & pepper. I asked her how long the wait would be, and she estimated between 5 and 10 minutes. It was about 6 minutes before she came over to deliver my meal. The Pesto Cavatappi and the Power Greens & Grains Salad came in bowls while the Classic Caesar Salad filled half of a rectangular plate. The Power Greens & Grains Salad bowl was on the plate next to the Classic Caesar Salad. The first thing I noticed was how they skimped on the portion size of the Pesto Cavatappi. However, what they lacked in portion size, as well as chicken, they made up for in pesto cream. The pasta dish as a whole could have used a little more flavor; unfortunately, I had overlooked the seasonings right next to me! So definitely don't be like me in this regard lol. However, there was no seasoning needed for either of the salads. The Power Greens & Grains Salad came with the dressing on the side, but the Classic Caesar already had the dressing on it. A little odd, and I'm not sure why they did it that way? But they were good enough and up to par with the other locations. I even got to mix the remainder of the Caesar Salad with the extra pesto cream sauce from the Pesto Cavatappi, and the Caesar Salad tasted better if only by a little bit.Like I said, Xiomara's mood was pretty vapid during my visit, but I do have to give her credit for remembering to give me a water cup when I forgot despite mentioning it a minute ago lol. There are plenty of tables inside, and it was mostly empty upon my arrival. A few customers did come in after me, but by no means was it busy. If you prefer dining al fresco, they also have an outdoor patio at the rear of the cafe. The restrooms are to your right once you walk in. When I was there, I noticed the door was open, and there was a wet floor sign. Hopefully that is not the norm here and that an employee was cleaning it at the time of my visit.Overall, it is not a bad Corner Bakery Cafe to go to. The quality of the food isn't too much different than the other locations, but needless to say, there is definitely room for improvement. I wish the employees would show some degree of customer appreciation, but that seems to be coming at a premium regardless of what location you visit.

A step up from airplane food. Fake watery eggs. Tiny bacon strips. Everything appears to be heated by microwave then plated with fresh avocado and shredded cheese. The baked goods look good. Maybe that's what they're known for?Service is friendly. Restaurant is clean. Overall, the food pictured on the menu does not look like your plate when it comes out.

Nice little cozy corner location ..being out of state I expected a more hometown feel....we arrived at 7pm and shortly after our food was ready they proceeded to CLEAN, mop, put chairs up on tables (I thought they closed at 9pm otherwise we would have gone somewhere else) food was good...my sandwich wasn't toasted ..I had the mozzarella, tomato, arugula sandwich and a Southwest salad ..kids had a creamy pesto pasta..sister had harvest salad ..we had dessert muffins, chocolate bundt cake and chocolate chip cookie....booth needed TLC..it was all duck taped together ..very uncomfortable to sit on....fortunately we were able to find another booth...we felt rushed out and we felt like we were in the way ..

Craving for breakfast for dinner tonight, so did an online order and stopped by this Corner Bakery location (one of the few left) on the way home and it was very good.Pancakes were fluffy and had a nice chewy texture. Scrambled eggs was moist, and the chicken sausage was good. I usually do not care for breakfast sausage but theirs was actually decent. My other favorite from Corner Bakery is the turkey cob salad, without bacon, of course.

My bf and I stopped here after our final PFT before the LA Hyrox race next week. I originally wanted to go to Poached but the line was too long, and we did not want to wait, so we walked over to Corner Bakery instead and was so glad we did! We both wanted something healthy and Corner Baker also offers omelettes and power bowls (new item), so we were happy and got a Garden Gate scrambler with chicken sausage without cheddar and a Power bowl, which is quinoa and chicken and spinach with eggs. Service was nice and fast. It didn't take long after we ordered and sat down that they brought out our food. And the best part was there was no line!!! Breakfast was so yummy and just what we wanted! Better yet I think my scrambler came just under $10! The cafe is really cute and clean, and their bakery and baked goods look soooo good! I couldn't get any but I know their cookies are amazing! The restroom was also super clean! Plenty of parking also!

tl,dr: it's a nice establishment.Likes:+ A variety of yummy, healthy options.+ The food was ready by the time I arrived.+ Polite, efficient, helpful staff.+ Plenty of indoor seating available.Non-likes:- The to-go order was a little messy to eat in the car. I suggest grabbing extra napkins or a plastic bag.I had:$13.19 Uptown Turkey Avocado - 0.01 discount + 0 tax= $13.18

Door Dash delivery; arrived well packaged and early. The tuna sandwich was just okay. For $17+ dollars there could have been a lot more tuna! The loaded potato soup was gross. Grainy with an inexplicable layer of oil on top. Shudder. It was bad. This won't happen again.

The manager was extremely rude when I noticed my order was incorrect right after ordering, stating they had to waste the food! There is no way our food was ready that fast! We have been going to this location for over 20 years since it opened- but will never go back after this type of treatment ! He needs to learn how to be a manager and teach his employees to listen to the customer.

Do NOT come here. If I could, I would give this place 0 stars. I experienced really rude service from one of the employees, NATALIE. I ordered desserts after finishing my meal. Her coworker called her over to take my order and NATALIE gave me attitude bc I was ordering AGAIN. *the restaurant was empty and it was 7:30pm, they close at 9:00pm.* I was already having a shitty day and I can't even enjoy getting a couple sweet treats without being called a fat ass. DO BETTER NATALIE GEEZ !!
