Fun experience, great place to go if you're craving that classic American steakhouse feel. Make sure to get some peanuts to eat and to throw on the floor. It's the only time I've seen littering ok and fun.As for the food, the portion size is massive. The sides come as shared bowls and are refillable. The bread is amazing I could eat just these if my arteries would allow it. Got the ribeye steak medium and it was cooked perfectly. Ended up having to take some home.Overall a nice place with good service. We got an orange ice cream complimentary for my father in laws bday

We Had Dinner last night for Dinela. We went to the La Mirada location. It was a rainy night. I had 5 guests. We arrived early than our reservation. Our server was Leighton. She was efficient, not overly friendly. She had other tables of six to serve. Not an easy job. The Men's Room was out of order and they had a trailer Men's Room. We ordered the Dinela Lobster Dinner and others ordered off the regular menu. The Lobster was large, but not as tender as I would like. Maybe over cooked. I think they can do better. Rating: 4 Stars

I've been eating at this restaurant for decades, but I hadn't been there for a couple of years now. I live about 40 miles away, but was excited to meet an old high school buddy of mine there for old time sake, and a great meal. Sadly, while our visit together was great, the meal was not. I had the ribeye steak as recommended by the waiter. I was very disappointed in it as it was mostly fat and lacked any taste. The price tag of $50 should have guaranteed a high-end cut of meat, but it was terrible. I didn't say anything because I didn't want it to spoil the visit with my good friend. This restaurant used to be packed anytime I would come with people sitting outside waiting for a table often. This time the restaurant was very quiet and empty. I heard they were renovating the restroom so they had a portable restroom on a trailer out in the parking lot. I thought the waiter was nice, and we exchanged some conversation of eating at the various Clearman's locations throughout the years. When I got home with my to go box, I carefully cut all the fat out of this piece of meat and carefully gave it to my dog. After all, my dog doesn't need a bunch of fat either. I think it will be a long time before I spend that kind of money for a lousy meal. In a 40 mile drive down the freeway, there are a lot of other options for me to choose.

They switched our server. We wanted the first one. Second okay...but...red cabbage was disgusting. Worse than ever. Full of vinegar. Gross. Mushroom gravy was gross. Like paste. Cheapened quality and increasing price. Not worth returning. Will go back to Covina, closer to home but felt they ruined their quality too. We will find out the hard way and talk to their Manager on the spot if crappy.

Came here during dineLA week with a gal friend who's been to Clearman years prior, and could not stop raving about the salads! Casual establishment, good vibe, good food. Their bread and salad truly were tasty. I couldn't finish the filet as I wanted to save room for dessert, and man it was worth it... never was a fan of Key Lime Pie, but this place got me convinced. Don't come here if you're allergic to peanuts though, there're peanuts and shells all over the floor. But do come here if you're not allergic and are looking for a hearty, no frill, unassuming restaurant.

I went here for my birthday lunch two weeks ago. I hadn't been in a good while; probably a couple of years. I would eat here more often if they still had the Second Street location in Long Beach. I digress...My husband and I got the unlimited salad and bread deal plus shared a baked potato with cheese butter. Boy did it hit the spot! Plus it was fairly reasonably priced too. $12.95 for the salad and bread combo and 19.95 for salad, bread and potato. I don't plan on waiting so long for my next visit. :-)

If you want to feel like you are on acid in a snow covered den in Sweden, then this is the spot! The first thing that caught my attention was the exterior of the restaurant with the "snow"covered roofs and log cabin look. Once inside the lighting is very dim, which only adds to its unique ambiance. It's old school, log cabin feels from top to bottom with taxidermy animals scattered about. When I looked down at the floor, my first thought was, "Wow, fake snow in here too?". Only to realize it was peanut shells. Which they give you a generous bowl to snack on while you wait for a table on one of the many logs or tree stumps. Yes, you throw the peanut shells on the floor! There were plenty of options on the menu for everyone, even our vegetarian guest. Food portions were more than enough to take home leftovers. Decent price point, which for our party of 4 was less than $100. Service was impressive and our waitress was super sweet. Plenty of room to host large or small parties. Ample parking and right off the freeway, so you can't miss it. Definitely recommend.

Late Valentine's Day lunch brought my girlfriend and I to the wonderful Clearman's Northwoods Inn. It was her first time and she loved the ambiance and woodsy interior vibes. Our server was very friendly and service was fast. My girlfriend absolutely loved the salad and cheese bread which I explained to her was a key selling point of the restaurant that I have had the pleasure of enjoying in past years. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. A very hearty and generously portioned lunch. *insert the food coma*

I absolutely love the ambiance of this place. The dimly lit interior, all the beautiful wood. This place reminds me of all the steakhouses I went to as a kid and I love it. The nostalgia alone makes me want to go back. Our waitress was amazing, she was very attentive and outgoing and was on top of everything. Now the food: you cannot go wrong with the salad and the cabbage. And mixed together, they're phenomenal. The cheese bread was hot and was loaded with cheese. Epic. I ordered the ribeye and it was flavorful and tender. The baked potato I got loaded and it was delicious. Highly recommend this place!

Wow what a wonderful retreat inside this cabin! Especially during the holidays where it is super decked out with holiday decorations and lights. Christmas is the best! how can you be grumpy inside a place like this, full of whimsy and coziness. Food, drinks, come on, it's a good life.you can throw peanuts on the floor! or at your friends! anywhere. that's part of the fun which you can't find often. be kids again. appreciate that.Menus are ready to go, already placed on the table. large cauldron shape menu. so clever.if you go right when they open, there will be a small crowd waiting to get lunch too, but you'll all get seated. no worries. huge restaurant, there are private rooms too with closed doors. soooo many tables. this place seems endless.appetizer platter had a variety of fries and onion rings and moz sticks if you're looking to share with a crew or just cant decide what to get, then go for variety, a little something for everyone to pick from.service was kind and kept waters full and checked in on us.beer available.check out the big BEAR display near the front of the restaurant before you leave! take a photo or two to remember.
