Choya Japanese Cuisine

Having a wonderful dinner by myself. And I decided to sit at the bar and do some reading. Gina was my wonderful server and took such great care of me. Always checking to see if I needed anything. Then Grace came over and said hi. And so did Key. The nicest owner ever! They are such great people. The place was packed tonight so I sat at the bar. My food was delish. As usual. This is my favorite food ever.

Came here on a Friday night for date night.It was pretty busy so I'd recommend making reservations or coming around 5:30-6 pm to avoid a wait!The owner (Key I believe is his name) was so welcoming and friendly.All the staff were!I saw that they had regular customers because they spoke to everyone by first name and everyone ( and I mean everyone) in the restaurant seemed to be having a great time eating sushi.The sushi chefs were quick and they'd have a big smile as they hand you your rolls.The bento box is HUGE.We got the chicken and tempura one and two rolls and between me and my date, we could barely finish it all. The portions are generous and tbe edamame was cooked perfectly as well.They offered us a free dessert for our first time there and I forget what it was called. But we ordered a pistachio and custard gelato dessert and it was the perfect way to end the night We will be back!

The food here is AMAZING!! Always fresh tasting and flavorful! I'm picky when it comes to seafood and in all my times I've ate here, it's yet to taste fishy! Huge plus for me! Everyone is super friendly and you're greeted with a warm welcome. Fees like family every time we dine here. Few of my favorites, chili garlic edamame, Philco, chicken fried noodles... and my girls love the bear ice cream dessert!

Great local Sushi place in Ladera, they have several house specialty rolls that are very good, ask the wait staff and they'll make you something special. Quality of fish is good as well as the bento boxes and tempura.

This used to be our goto place and last year it went down a bit, service was declining and it was always empty. Last night we decided to give it a shot again and it seems as if it's back to how I remember it! We started off with some drinks and the avocado and asparagus appetizer. This is a must get so so yummy! My husband had some seafood salad thing which looked yummy and I had a roll and soup! The waiter was super awesome and I could tell they had new staff. The place was crowded and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves! We will be back!

We stopped by late Friday afternoon for a quick bite. The atmosphere was nice, and we enjoyed watching the chefs from the bar seat. We had the gyoza and three rolls. It's a bit expensive; we ended up paying $80 (a bottle of sparkling water is $8) plus tip. I think we saw the waitress only once, which is strange, but it was nice that--I assume the owner--came to us at the end and asked how everything was. Again, the food was good and nicely presented. The service could be improved a little bit.

The service is excellent, and always attentive. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. Happy hour is such a great deal, and they have a good variety of options. The place is very cute and comfortable, like your typical Sushi spot. Lots of TVs everywhere, which is great for catching the game.

The food is awesome and we always get great service. We love sitting at the sushi bar. Salmon and yellowtail always fresh and delicious. One of our favorite restaurants for sushi.

This is our home away from home. So many regulars come every week we usually run into somebody that we know. The owner and the staff are fun and very personable. This is probably our most visit

The worst sushi I ever had. Supermarket sushi would be fresher. I would not recommend
