Cho Dang is located in the food hall of HMart, tucked into the far left corner once you walk in and turn left. The setup here is cafeteria-style, with self-seating and plenty of tables to sit down and enjoy your meal after ordering from any of the stalls. There's ample parking outside, so getting here is pretty easy.I came here on a Friday evening, and Cho Dang had one of the longer lines, which made me think it'd be a good choice. I ordered the beef soft tofu soup (mild) for $15.99, and it came with four side dishes--kimchi, fish cake, bean sprouts, and cucumber salad--plus a bowl of rice and an egg. The portion size was solid, and for the price, it's a good deal compared to similar Korean spots, which are usually more expensive for this quality.I'm giving it four stars mainly because of two things (these are areas of improvement): 1) Service Timing - My order took a while to come out. I was number 42, and after calling out 41 and 43 multiple times, they finally called 42. Not a major issue, but it did feel a bit disorganized.2) Soup Flavor - The soft tofu soup itself was a bit disappointing. It lacked the depth of flavor I expected and tasted more like mildly spicy water than a rich, flavorful broth.Overall, if you're looking for decent Korean food at a reasonable price in a convenient setting, Cho Dang is worth a try. Just know that the flavor profile might not be as rich as you'd find at some other Korean restaurants.

I feel like this tofu house deserves a higher rating than what's listed. My family and I love to eat here at least once a month whenever we visit HMart. The service is usually quick, and the soft tofu never misses! We always have an enjoyable experience, and we often opt for Cho Dang if we want to eat sundubu but don't want to wait in line at BCD Tofu House.

I've eaten here 3 times now and decided to give a review because it's worth letting people know that this is a very tasty Korean food inside the H Mart food court. I've only had the hot stone spicy pork bibimbap. This dish is amazing.! I would recommend to share this dish because they give a big portion. The hot stone is super hot so it makes the rice crispy at the bottom. The spicy pork is seasoned well and very delicious with the fried egg. They also give you side dishes (banchan). If you are craving Korean bibimbap this is a must place to try. Enjoy!

We ordered soft tofu soup and beef japchae for lunch. Service and food very unsatisfactory. The woman taking order was very inefficient and speaks little English. She was chatting on her cell phone while people are lined up to order. She did not even apologize and looked very stern. The beef japchae was too salty, soupy and lots of onions-- not traditional Korean cooking. Food is very pricy with very low standard of everything. Will not recommend this place and will never go back. What a disappointment!

Service is always so great. The food is classic taste and always tastes fresh! Order ahead to beat the waiting if you can. They are so good that there is always a line

Unprofessional customer service and the price is overpriced overall. The food quality is lower than standard. I would highly recommend going to other options.

Waited for awhile for this burning galbi. My wife is pregnant and she has to eat this... The staff ended up giving us a pair of scissors to cut the burnt parts...

I was craving Korean food and stumbled upon this place inside H Mart. I went with the teriyaki chicken and dumplings. The chicken comes with rice and all the typical sides you would get at a Korean restaurant. The chicken was delicious and served piping hot. I really enjoyed the dumplings too..I'm not much for the sides so I left them. I would call this Korean comfort food. It would be especially good on a cold or rainy day.

Tucked in the corner of the H Mart Food Plaza, This place provides flavorful, soups and a delicious meal. We ordered the set number one and it came out within 10 minutes. Obviously cooked fresh. The soup was very warm. I recommend getting the spicy as a compliments, the heat of the soup very well. The front staff is very nice

I have been wanting to check out the food court for a while and finally my daughter and I came. I ordered the soon tofu combo with kalbi short ribs. The kalbi short ribs were very tasty. My daughter finished the ribs all by herself. However their soon tofu lacked flavor. It tastes like kimchi soup and doesn't have the usual soon tofu taste like other tofu places. Because of that, my daughter hardly touched it. She told me that the ones I bought from the grocery store soon tofu kit taste much better than the ones here. Hence, I don't recommend getting the soon tofu here. Other places taste way better than here. However, their panchan were pretty good.
