I love their taro boba milk tea. Not too sweet. Not too purple, either, as you can tell by the image. Can get busy, but that means you know you're getting good drinks! Never had their food options, but they are called Cha For TEA so I think it's fine if you just get tea.Fair ambiance.

It feels weird to stan for a Cha for Tea, but I love this place. It's one of the few places you can still grab Popcorn Chicken and Milk Tea. I've had a few teas here, honey green is solid. Royal (Earl Grey) is strong and floral, but not my favorite. Solid all around.Popcorn Chicken is just like my childhood. Taking a sip of tea and eating 5-spice crispy chicken really brings me back. Juicy and good spice level too, mild might be a little too much for the super lightweights, but it should be perfect for 99% of people. The dumplings, I'd skip it. You can see the inside and I laughed when I first saw it. The inside is flavorless and it's overpowered by the skin. I tried Cha for Tea a long time ago, different location, and I thought all they had were overly sweet fruity drinks. But I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the leaf tea here. Also, the prices were competitive. I've come back a few times already and it's been great every time. Also, it's nice to be able to take a walk at the lake, that's definitely a perk.

Personally, Cha for Tea stands out to me more for its food options, versus the drink options. While the drink options aren't bad, I wouldn't say they are great enough to go out of your way to come to Cha versus another boba place. Notable differences? 1. THEY HAVE SPLENDA (Diabetics, rejoice!)! In most places, you have to cut your drink sweetness drastically, thus impacting flavor, if you need to lower your personal sugar intake. Cha makes it possible to have both flavor and no worries about high sugar content by offering Splenda in their drinks. 2. The menu is sorted in a way I like, one that caters to mood/weather and drink type ("It's a hot day, I want something cold" or "I need something decaf", "I want something light and refreshing"...etc.)I like how the menu is sorted into iced, iced milk, refresher, decaf, cooler, or hot. Makes it easier, IMO, to pick a category based on the taste you want for that day/situation. All drinks are customizable to your sweetness, boba amount, ice, cream, or fruit flavor intensity, & helpful signs at checkout allow you to determine what's a lite versus heavy hand instead of choosing blindly. They also offer non-dairy creamer and soy milk options. Sweltering hot summer day? Go for a Cha Cooler, which has a thicker, more slushy-like consistency. My go-tos are passionfruit, strawberry, peach passion, or strawberry colada. Adding a touch of cream to a tart flavor creates a wonderful balance. Want a refreshing, not overly sweet tea? Try a refresher. Feeling sick, or just want authentic, no-nonsense tea? Check their organic section. Not sure? Can't go wrong with a hot or iced tea, or they have top 10 suggestions listed too. Servers are great at providing recs if you have an idea of the flavor/type of drink you want. Most of their flavors are pretty standard, you'd find them at most boba shops, but I must point out the honey rosebud tea, which is an aromatic, gentle bouquet of roses in the form of an enticing tea, a pleasure to catch a note of, or hold in both hands on a cold day, watching the steam curl up from the cup, like its own flower blooming in the grey. If you prefer this sweeter, ask them to sweeten with honey - keep it natural to ensure you get the full honey and rosebud experience. I buy this loose-leaf tea as a gift, people absolutely love it. I opt for flavors that are less tart (peach, passion, strawberry) and cut back on the sugar down to 50% or 25%. Adding boba makes the drink sweeter too, and if it's not sweet enough when you pick up, they're pretty good about fixing it for you so it's to your liking. The best part of Cha? The Orange tofu. Back in the day, they used to have vegetarian dumplings, which were bomb. Unfortunately, those have long since vanished. But the orange tofu has persisted, thank goodness, under the vegetarian menu section. These babies are fried to crispy perfection, golden and crisp on the outside, tender & chewy within, then every centimeter coated in a sweet, thick orange sauce that you can't get enough of. I don't care how much you may hate tofu, Cha makes it an actual treat. They have some magical way of cooking tofu I've yet to come close to mastering, despite repeated efforts. Their orange tofu was/is so good, and enough of a treat so that I could get my parents to agree to buy it for me when I was younger, because they were just happy I was eating tofu/protein. What Cha may lack in originality of drink flavors, it makes up for in the orange tofu. And, I've heard from friends that some of their other food is pretty delicious too :)

Really cute boba shop in a very family friendly area. I loved how they had 4 samples available, and 3 members of my group ended up getting those drinks, so hey the samples really worked. I got the peach green milk tea but next time I will opt for a regular milk tea. Didn't love the peach flavor (a bit tart and syrup-tasting) but it was still a good drink. The boba was good too!

Cha is a staple for milk and fruit teas, I really enjoy the honey green milk tea and the mango green tea! Their drinks are quite sweet though, i would recommended getting 2-3 sweetness (out of 5). They also have some of the best boba pearls, they come warm and chewy in your drink. I also tried the popcorn chicken entree, and while the popcorn chicken was great, the sides were lacking flavor, particularly the noodles. It's also located in a small plaza with plenty of outdoor seating and also a playground that's great for kids.

Truthfully I love this place because the tea here is so earthy and refreshing. I love that you can also try some drinks as you wait in line or are deciding what to get. Of all the times i've visited I have had a great experience in both service and quality of food and drinks.

Cha For Tea - Woodbridge Village Center is a great place for a quick and flavorful meal, particularly if you're in the mood for their popcorn chicken combo. The chicken was crispy and well-seasoned, making each bite enjoyable. The mango tea drink that comes with the combo was a refreshing complement, adding a nice touch to the meal. One thing I did notice was that the portions were a bit on the small side. While the food was tasty, I didn't feel completely full by the end of the meal, even with the drink included. If you're looking for a hearty meal, you might want to consider ordering a little extra on the side. The service was efficient and friendly, which added to the overall positive experience. It's a convenient spot for a quick, flavorful bite, and the quality of the food makes it worth a visit. Just keep in mind that you might need a little more if you're really hungry.

Cha for Tea always takes me back to college. At UCI, they had a location right across from the campus and I always walked over for dinner and boba. Now I find myself frequenting this location more often. My go to is always the mango green tea with boba or if I'm in a milky mood, the almond black tea with boba. I still love their popcorn chicken!

Their boba and aloe in the drinks are so good! Such good prices too (maybe because i'm used to the overpriced drinks in LA). I love their peach mint refresher! Also love that you can choose how many pumps (I got one pump less than original, will probably will stick with the normal next time) + get crushed ice instead of regular!
