Steak Breakfast Burrito!!!Our favorite!When we lived in Corona, the Castaneda's there, was the best so when we moved to Garden Grove we were all smiles to this Castaneda's not too far away.This Castaneda's didn't disappoint, the Steak Breakfast Burrito was awesome!

Always consistent and always open. Food seems pretty authentic. Drive thru is fast. Salsas haven't been my favorite here, but maybe that's because I don't ask for the right ones. Small seating area inside, parking around the building. I wish they had healthier, keto friendly options.

Quality seems to be going down, while the prices going up. Rolled tacos cold to the touch

Friendly drive thru workers , speak clearly and never mess up my order , love this place Best California Burrito in Orange County and there red hot sauce is very similarly to Santana down in San Diego but a little more spice

Decided to try something new for lunch today so I stopped at Castaneda's. A few people from my office had come here and the reviews were mixed, so I figured it was finally time to give them a try.I ordered an al pastor burrito, and it was ready really fast. And when the girl handed it to me, it was pretty heavy! When I got back to my office, I figured I'd eat just half of the burrito since it was pretty hefty. When I cut it in half, I noticed a ton of pico de gallo - but it also seemed pretty meaty. Unfortunately, the onion from the pico de gallo REALLY overpowered the flavor of the pastor. I wish I could have said that the pastor was good, but it was either very mildly seasoned or the onion was just too strong.I'd suggest that if you order one of their burritos, you might want to get the pico de gallo on the side.*I might have to go back to give another one of their burritos a try, minus the pico de gallo.

Oh my... it has been a very long time since I did YELP, and yet we have come to Castaneda's Mexican Food very often. Either we go thru the drive up window, or the family takes up several tables inside. The lovely missus orders the favorite #5 Taco and Enchilada Combo, which includes lots of Castaneda's flavorful Refried Beans and a heap of the Rosy colored Mexican rice. This combo is a good one, but she did say the enchilada needs more of the cheese filling. She asked for a box to take home what she could not finish. I think the Salsa Bar is the best way to get your vegies when you order Menudo. This was a special good choice as it came in a large bowl with 4 corn tortillas and the seasoning sprinkles and onions for a deluxe presentation. I loved that reddish thick broth... it was the perfect setting for delightful chunky pieces of several sections of the almighty tripe and porky skin and knuckle bone...I found one and was happy there were not more. The Menudo was a winner, and I would definitely do it again. The trip to Castaneda's was fillingly good, and as I usually do, I ordered 2x Bean and Cheese big burritos to take home.

WAS SERVED MEAT WHEN ORDERED POTATO TAQUITOS!!!!!My fiance and I eat here all the time so this situation is a huge bummer. I ordered him the 5 rolled potatoe taquito combo and 4/5 taquitos were potato but the last taquito was CHICKEN. He is now puking and will be sick for a while as he hasn't ate meat ever - he was raised vegetarian so this is going to cause him gut issues. Not even including the mental trauma it causes when you unwillingly consume meat when you're not a meat eater.I called to complain and she goes "well do you want to bring it back ?" Bringing it back isn't going to undo what has already been done but at least acknowledging and apologizing would have been a good start. We have both worked in the food industry for over a decade and understand things like this can happen but if I order potato taquitos and tell you during the order that he is a vegetarian it's unacceptable. Sucks we love this place so much but will not ever be returning. IF YOU ARE A VEGETARIAN BE VERY VERY CAREFUL!!

After years of telling each other "we should try this place" my boyfriend and I finally did and it did not disappoint.Breakfast burritos are large and have a good amount of meat in them. It's hard to get a decent California burrito outside of San Diego county and this one is super good and also HUGE. Only downside is it doesn't come with sour cream or guac so you have to ask to add them

This place used to be good but they've gone downhill. The prices are crazy expensive and the food doesn't taste good anymore. I got an order of carne asada fries and I struggled to find guacamole in it and it doesn't even have pico. Plus they charge $19 for it! The meat is bland and the fries were seasoned with pepper or something.

Ordered an el pastor burrito through a delivery app and the meat is burnt through the whole burrito. I tried calling and the number is disconnected and website is down. The rest of the food was not great either. Don't waste your money.
