Wow... What an incredible dining experience we had on Saturday night at Casa Ramos restaurant. We in Santa Ana for our son's 7v7 football tournament, and after the game, we did a Yelp search for the best Mexican restaurants in Santa Ana. Casa Ramos was on the the list, came so based upon the four and a half star ratings and wonderful pictures we decided to give it a try. All the food items that we had were stellar!! Everything was well seasoned, and all the flavors were distinct and bold! We tried to order as many different items as possible. That said, we had the chicken mole enchiladas the pork tamale, chicken enchiladas, chicken and potato taquitos, crispy chicken taco, chile relleno and barbacoa enchilada. My son and I kept raving about how tasty the chili relleno, barbacoa enchilada, and crispy chicken taco were. Although we were way too stuffed to eat anything else, we ultimately decided to try the bread pudding for dessert....so glad that we did! The bread pudding we shared was delicious and we completely devoured it!! What we also enjoyed as much as the food was the incredible service that we received!! We had an opportunity to meet the owner, Rudy, who was sooooo personable. He truly made us feel as though we were "VIP" customers, as we talked with him throughout the time that we were there. We also met his wife, Nancy, who was our server, and she was such a pleasure! Since this was our first time at Casa Ramos, she kindly gave us menu recommendations, and pleasantly fulfilled any service requests we made!! They were both so welcoming in a way that you rarely see nowadays when you go out to eat. We live about 30 miles away, and if it weren't for that, we would be regular customers. However, if we're ever in the area we will definitely go back!! So, if you want some great Mexican food and want to experience superb service, then please go to Casa Ramos and have an incredible dining experience!!

We went here given the high Yelp review scores. However, I think I may have ordered the wrong item. I usually love to go for the enchiladas but I was feeling soup and had the 7 mares caldo. Highly recommend to skip. The broth was not flavorful and the seafood tasted newly defrosted. My friend had the carne asada and cheese enchiladas and he did like his dish. Casual. Small lot and Street parking only, although you can probably park at the Superior market across the street. Inside seating. Good service. Please come and creat your own experience.

I've been here 3 times and it's always a hit. I've always have had a different server the times that I've gone and they are always friendly and attentive. The plates I've had are very good. It's a good place to bring your family and enjoy delicious food and a great atmosphere. I will continue to comeback whenever I'm in the mood for Mexican food.

It felt very cozy and welcoming here. We didn't know it was happy hour, but they have some amazing deals! Definitely will be coming back! There's plenty of street parking in the area. Food review:Complimentary chips and salsa were so good! The salsa was definitely spicy, but our wonderful waitress brought us some salsa verde and other options. Those chips were so damn good. Thin, crispy, warm, and salted to perfection! Margaritas: (5/5) These were delicious!! We ordered the house Margarita, strawberry, and watermelon. The perfect amount of sweet for me. My boyfriend LOVED the strawberry flavor. They tasted even better being only $6 on the happy hour menu!Taquitos: (5/5) These were bomb (also on happy hour). I've never had a potato taquitos until here and let me tell you, it was damn good. We got 2 chicken and 2 potato. Pork belly tacos: (5/5) So simple, yet so delicious. They were gone in like 5 minutes. Perfect bite sized tacos. Crispy chicken taco and shredded beef enchilada: (5/5) Yes. Everything yes. The flavors were delicious, the meats were juicy and tender. We had our baby shower here on Dec 7. For 4 hours, the entire restaurant was closed to the public and had about 85 people attended. The service the staff provided was phenomenal. Our friends and family enjoyed the food and kept asking how we found this restaurant. We had eaten at this restaurant previously and loved the food on their regular menu. We were able to bring in our own desserts for the dessert table -- cupcakes, cookies, and turon.For decorations, we didn't do much. My mom made succulent centerpieces. The restaurant had a black backdrop and we were able to add balloons and a rose gold decoration to it. The backdrop was placed on the stage and made it great to take pictures. There was also room to have some games. We did run across a concern with parking, but the owner quickly mitigated the situation. Initially, we were told our guests would have an area to park in the back within a gated area by a church. On the day of the shower, we found out that there was a small garage sell going on in a small area of the parking lot. The owner of the restaurant was gracious and stayed outside to redirect our guests for parking. Overall, my husband and I were extremely pleased with the outcome of the shower. The timing we booked was perfect, food was great, and any concerns that came up, the staff quickly presented solution to ease our minds. I would definitely host another private event here in the future.

So happy we stumbled upon this awesome downtown Santa Ana restaurant. Great and clean ambiance with such a warmWelcome by their friendly staff! Food was delicious (shrimp and steak fajitas as well as pozole) margaritas and sangria, everything was fantastic!! Staff is awesome and we can't wait to come back and dine here again. Found this spot on yelp and decided to try based on the reviews.I was on vacation and I was highly satisfied with my experience from start to finish! This place has great reviews for many reasons!First and foremost, they are so very friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk in. We were greeted with such friendly smiles and welcoming voices. We were seated immediately and served chips and salsa. I was with my toddler and 2 friends. I loved that they noticed my toddler was interested in salsa and brought over an additional salsa that wasn't spicy. Our server was Lupita. She provided us with legendary service and went above and beyond in my opinion. She gave us great recommendations. The male server was amazing too! He brought over crackers when he noticed my toddler was impatient and that was so sweet! At the end Lupita brought us complimentary ice cream for my boy. I was like wow! So sweet! She came over chatted with us and made us feel like family. They have a great happy hour too! Taco Tuesday, tacos $1.99 and delicious at that! The carnitas nachos were fireee and the taquitos were good too! I got 2 margaritas, lime and strawberry and the strawberry was my favorite!
