Canyon Coffee by Blue Hummingbird Coffee

Hidden gem of a coffee shop! My wife took me there for the first time today. The server was friendly and gave me some recommendations on the menu. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

This coffee shop is in the middle of a neighborhood in Rancho Mission Viejo and the location is beautiful. I came for the first time a couple months with a couple friends and our kids. The space outside is perfect because there's an enclosed grass area where kids can run around and/or you can sit with your coffee and enjoy the view. Today, I came with my husband and baby, and it was such a gorgeous day so we grabbed our coffee, walked around the trail a bit, and then sat and talked. Love this spot for that! Minus one star because both times I've been, their drip coffee machine has been "waiting on maintenance" and the cold brew was just okay! My husband liked their latte though. Will come back for the sweet coffee spot it is- but not my favorite coffee!

I got the seasonal chai drink which was really good, but their normal chai I have gotten in the past I did not like. It was pretty bitter. In all fairness the barista warned me that they make their chai different. Cute atmosphere and great outdoor area

We are fans of this coffee shop, but for me it is mostly due to the location!We are not in this area often, but whenever we are nearby we make a stop over here. I have only been here twice, but it's now a situation where we need to stop by when we come this way. I remember enjoying my drink on my last visit, I believe I probably ordered a lavender latte. This time I tried the matcha latte, blue hummingbird style with spirulina. I have come to the conclusion that I am not really a fan of matcha with added vanilla or syrup. I like it straight and bitter. So, that was a bit sweet but the drink was cute.Service is A-OK. It was slow this last time. However, the location makes this place a gem. Check out the business photos. I could seriously relax here all the time if I was nearby.

Canyon Coffee is a fantastic little spot on top of a hill. We like to ride our bikes in this area and would take a coffee break here.Takes a bit of pedaling power to make your way up the hill but if you have a few horse power to help take you up, its no problem.Canyon Coffee really earns its starts from the super chill and relaxing atmosphere. Nice outdoor seating and large grassy patch overlooking the canyon - fantastic! Great place to spend a nice weekend morning.The coffee? It was ok. Nothing to brag about but nothing to ding either. Pairs well with their pastries.I recommend this place for a good cup of coffee with pastries while enjoying a nice relaxing morning.

Would I go back? Yes. The ambiance was very relaxing and I could picture myself spending a long day of studying / office hours here. Wonderful indoor and outdoor seating options. Unfortunately, ordered the matcha with almond milk and I could only taste the almond milk. I'll try a coffee next time. The bowls were delicious though and service was quick.

I have never had a balanced latte or coffee drink from here. Too sweet and too milky.

I was in the area for a wedding and this coffee shop was right down the road. Came here over the weekend to get some studying and relaxing done. Such a cute coffee shop. Very nice interior but the outside is what stands out. Beautiful view, tons of chairs outside to enjoy the peace. My partner got the lavender latte and I got the matcha. Both very good drinks. Very flavorful and balanced. I wish I lived closer because I would be here all the time! The cashier was very friendly and helpful explaining the drinks. I was unsure about the blue in the matcha but she gave me a small sample. And I was sold. Thank you! I hope to be soon!

Great ambiance. Good coffee. Sits on a canyon. Super relaxing. Free WiFi. Great place to sit and do work or grab a coffee with a friend.

This coffee shop is in our neighborhood and has changed hands many times in the 5 years we have lived here. It's NEVER been good we have given it a chance everytime someone new took it over and it's always had the same problems. The coffee sucks and it's more expensive than Starbucks. $27 for 3 lattes. Also we ordered 3 DIFFERENT flavored coffee and they all taste like hot chocolate. And the employees are the slowest people ever. They make ONE drink at a time. It took 25 min to make 3 coffees. Worst experience ever. Will not be back. If I could give it 0 stars I would.
