We absolutely love coming to this café... They're always surprising us with new additions now they have or at least it's new to us cause we haven't been here in a couple of months. They have the delicious sourdough pizzas with a huge oven that you can smell all the delicious sourdough as we had the pesto and fig sourdough pizza And a delicious avocado toast on a thick piece of sourdough bread with a perfectly prepared egg. One of my favorite lattes They close at 3 o'clock, so make sure you get there early plenty of parking and plenty of seating .. " and get this you get beautiful cloth napkins"

Campesino Cafe is the ultimate in farm-to-table dining. The 28-acre organic farm at The Ecology Center provides much of the produce used in their vegetarian menu, which was created by a James Beard award-winning cookbook author. You order at the window and are a given a number. It's all outdoor seating. The setting is nice and makes you feel like you're off in the countryside. The food is on the pricey side. We got the Braised Greens & Jammy Egg ($15) and the Charred Broccolini and Kraut Sandwich ($17). The braised greens definitely felt very healthy, with a hearty serving of greens in a spicy sofrito. The sandwich, which came with a salad, was likewise a little spicy with a chili aioli. There's a market next door that sells their produce, as well as artisan breads and tortillas and other goods. The food is okay. My favorite aspect was the experience of being in a setting that feels miles away. The Ecology Center also provides meals and produce to the food insecure, so it's alway nice to support a good cause.

This place is so cool!!!!Vegetarian and vegan with the freshest organic food! The lettuce radish cucumber broccoli tasted like heaven. The homemade focaccia and butter and horchata, yum! I regret not trying the soup of the day and strawberry shortcake. The almond milk latte was so good. What makes this place even more cool is it's on a farm and ecology center! There is a market stand where you can buy fresh and gorgeous produce like fat juicy strawberries, passion fruit, purple snap peas, all sorts of mushrooms. Also bulk olive oil and homemade breads and so much more. Oh and really cool books like "Suppose You Met A Witch"....There's also a historic home on site.Kid friendly and dog friendly The staff is not just nice but funny. One guy was cracking me up. Clearly he's happy with his life working there. After we ate here we went to Tree of Life Nursery which is entirely native plants for ridiculously cheap prices. I bought large 5 gallon plants for jaw droppingly low prices. I got a Sycamore tree, coffee berry, ceanothus, Poppy flowers, coyote mint, manzanita, and coastal live oak tree. There's a real adobe house on site that they turned into a gift shop and they have cool hats.

My wife and I had lunch here. It's a beautiful outdoor dining spot on a farm. We ordered the two specials of the day, pan fried tamales with sunny side egg and salsa roja and roasted kogigu squash and apple. The squash dish was wonderful! Very unusual, tasty and healthy! The tamales, though, were a bit of a miss --- on the dry, even tough side and the salsa helped but not enough. The price of the food was a bit high considering the portion sizes: $17 for the squash; $13 for the tamales. The people who worked there were very friendly. The overall vibe was very chilled. A great place to have a relaxing and healthy meal.

Great healthy food and presentation. Not cheap though for all veggies menu! The Pan Fried Tamales was good but quite on the dry side. The sauce that came with it added some flavor. The Roasted Kogigu Squash and Apple was flavorful because of the sweetness of the squash. The service was alright. It's a very airy ambiance like being on a farm.

Adorable market and cafe on farmland, the food here is incredible and is grown fresh on the farm that the location sits on. All regenerative and organic produce used in the food items and sold in the market. Amazing staff through and through , as well as great events thrown weekly for intimate dinner events, movies, and workshops. Highly recommend!!!

We are not vegetarians (they do have eggs), but we have been eating here at least once a week since it opened. Usually because we crave what we had the time before. Very creative dishes, super fresh and really tasty. Great outdoor, on the farm, vibe too. Once on the property, you forget you are in suburbia. We order an extra side of their homemade Salsa Macha that comes with the tamales and put it on most everything we order. Not hot, but great smoky, nutty flavor. On the way out, we pick up a jar in the stand to get us through the week and invariably also grab a jar of house made jam.

Charming and wonderful vegetarian cafe attached to a market at the Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano. I got the Ninos Campesino (beans, salad, fruit & a vegetable tamale) and it was a generous serving! Everything is organic and super fresh. The fruit was sweet, the salad greens was very refreshing, and the vegetable tamale stuffed with zucchini squash was delicious as well. Most items are vegan and there's a great selection of dishes to choose from. Definitely coming back to try more items! Service is quick and friendly!

Went for taco Tuesday. Food was ok, had 3 tacos x 2 for me and the wife. 1 beer $60 bucks. got it. Stoped at there cute market got two ice cream sandos. Vegan or something, wife likes them. Staff was rad. We ate them at there Littel promenade. Dog and owner walking. Enjoyable evening night. As we walk to our car a younger lady in overalls flags me down to ask a question. "Hello " hi I was wondering if you took a glass from the restaurant? Excuse me as she looks into my car. With a confused look on my face she said ok. And we left. I have supported local farms as I work in food industry and I have bought many of fruits and veggies here. . And if I spent $80 on tacos and ice cream sandos. I should give you a glass of chinga tu madre. For accusing me of stealing a $2 glass thank you.
