California Fish Grill

Stopped by this location on the way home from Disneyland. There was no line at the self serve kiosk to order on a Saturday night at 7pm. My to go order was ready in less than 10 minutes! I love the branzino here and was able to add extra branzino for $5.50 to make the portion even better for sharing with my husband. I also got the zucchini and brown rice sides. Always love California fish grill and this location is great!

i used to live off of fish grill when i was younger just because it was so affordable and tasty! it still tastes exactly how i remember it :)we always get Cajun swai and i always get half salmon and half swai. the swai is always soooo smooth and soft with a buttery texture. literally amazing. The Cajun seasoning is delicious too!! so much flavor. I usually get fries and rice but i was trying to be healthy so i got kaleslaw and rosemary zucchini sides. Both really tasty actually!! Plus i stole some fries off of my brother's plate so i won in the end Service is quick and simple. You place your order at the counter either with a worker or the kiosk and then wait at a table until your name is called! Then you pick up your order and eat! You'll have to ask the workers for any sauces like tartar sauce but I remember the days when it was self service :'( but i understand why they changed it (probably for sanitary reasons) Plenty of space inside to eat and there is also outdoor seating. Super casual and comfy spot in Irvine! 10/10

Visited the California Fish Grill at the Tustin Marketplace recently and although at first we couldn't figure out how to get inside due to construction, once we did find it we had a good laugh. You can park in front of Luna Grill or Island's Burgers, and there's a walkway that takes you right to the front door of Fish Grill.Upon walking in, super clean, well lit, and inviting space. There is a counter where you pick up the order you placed on the digital kiosks. You order in self service format with the kiosks but, it is an employee that hands you your food at the pickup counter. We ordered the Swai with Cajun and garlic butter, both sauces were amazing. The kale coleslaw was fresh however had no taste at all, adding salsa to it helped. The fries were good, the fried fish was good, and their clam chowder was also very good. We did notice that their salsa bar was closed, which is why you'll see all the sauces and condiment are provided prepackaged. They operate in the same fashion as restaurants did during covid (which I personally didn't mind but, we thought it was just interesting)Overall great meal, fresh ingredients, great price point. If you're in the area looking for a solid lunch spot, this is a rest contender!

California Fish Grill has always been my go to spot when I was seeking a healthy alternative. I have consistently ordered the Swai and picked the Cajun Style sauce and it has never disappointed. Each entree is accompanied by two choices of sides, and I usually opt for the zucchini and rice. Since I haven't visited in quite some time, I was disappointed to find that the side of zucchini is no longer served in long strips and is now blended with rosemary. The rosemary is quite strong and changes the entire flavor profile of the zucchini, so I will probably try a different side next time. Having said that, California Fish Grill is still a place where you can enjoy healthy, delicious seafood at a reasonable price.PRO TIP: This Irvine location is currently participating in the "Kids Eat Free" with the purchase of an adult entree offer on the Retail Therapy app. It's only available from Monday through Thursday for a limited time.

We love coming here because of the food and service. We LOVE LOVE ANTONIO. Very friendly and always helpful when it comes to helping us with our order.

Fresh and good quality fish/meals. Highly recommend this place. Poke was so fresh and so delicious, so was the mahi mahi grilled fish. Must try!

I LOVE California Fish Grill. I've been to a few locations but this particular location is close to home. Sadly, the plaza is going through renovations so most of the parking is closed, however, there is a parking lot close to this location - may be a little difficult during prime time hours but not impossible. Restrooms and restaurant are clean. There's indoor and outdoor seating. There's customer service, which had a great attitude and was patient. There's also a kiosk to order.I loved my swai with garlic butter sauce and kaleslaw and brussel sprouts. This is my go to order at California Fish Grill. I could taste the freshness and the portions isn't overwhelmingly big. I have always loved the kaleslaw and brussel sprouts here. Would definitely recommend!

I love that they offer healthy options of fish. The kiosk is fairly easy to use for order and payment. Nice layout of tables and booths. A few issues - I ordered the quinoa, edamame rice as a side for an additional fee. It was a huge disappointment. There was 1 small edamame and very minimal quinoa (mostly just rice). It also had a spicy red sauce throughout it. The workers said it was a poke sauce when I asked what it was. They said it comes standard on it. So here is what is strange to me - no where on the kiosk does it say it comes with a poke sauce AND I had just recently been to another CA Fish Grill where there was a lot of edamame and quinoa but not a drop of sauce. For this reason they did not score highly. I don't see how rice with poke sauce qualifies as quinoa and edamame AND for an addition charge. I might as well have just ordered the included rice for that matter.

My go-to California Fish Grill order used to be the Cajun Salmon Salad. This time around, after not eating here for a while, it was not as good and the salmon was super dry. On the other hand, I tried one of their shrimp tacos and THAT was delicious! Will be trying their other tacos next time! The staff at this location are also very attentive and helpful :)

I love this place! The food is predictable and exactly what I want and expect. The service is implecable. I am greeted as soon as I walk... nice to be immediately acknowledged :) The staff will always ask to assist, although I prefer fending for myself. My orders are always take out anyway. I recently found out they have Taco Tuesday. One of the staff members pointed out I should try Tuedays given I'm here at least once a week. Try it out for yourself, you won't be disappointed!
