Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

Cafe Rio is pretty darn good and has a similar concept to Chipotle. Their salads are huge and they do not skimp on portions. Sweet pork and green sauce was recommended to me by friends and yes it's the only way. My only gripe is that it's really saucy. Like I enjoy saucy food but this is too much. I'd ask for sauce on the side for sure

I went to this location for the first time out of convenience for my wife and I because was traveling for ministry....and this will be our LAST. We were having issues doing the order online with the app due to poor signal so I can to go inside and connect to WiFi. Next, the manager was confused that I waiting inside for them to make my order then he passed me off to a younger gentleman named Alex/Alec and he got confused making the order when I told him the receipt had everything. He put some wrong stuff on my wife's steak bowl (and the steak had pieces that were not all the way cooked) and forgot to put the sauce on both of ours. I had to correct and remind him of to many things even giving us our tortillas. And the safe things is he rushed to cook the tortillas and they still looked like under cooked flour and dough. I would've took our order back but we were already gone when noticed everything and the holiday traffic was terrible in that area near the restaurant where an accident occurred.We go to Cafe Rio 2-3 times a week (usually Lake Forest location) and today left a bad taste in our mouths with the establishment. I'm hoping as a regular customer this reaches the right individual(s). I was unable to do my usual survey because the cashier did not give me my receipt. I liked Cafe Rio when I was living in Fresno and the fact that they have it around me is amazing. I don't sit down and eat. I always get my food to go, but the appearance on the inside looks good and hospitable. The food always looks fresh. The service is great always with a smile And prices are fairly reasonable and the food is always delicious. Although I really don't like the fact that I have to pay extra for dressing other than that great place.

This place is always top notch and that tomatillo dressing is like CRACK! Just double check the bag if you place a pick up order like always but they usually always go above and beyond def my go to spot. Their staff is always friendly and in good spirits! Gave em 5 instead of 4 because anything I wasn't pleased with they made up for!! Def try em out!

The reviews are accurate. Food is good, service is bad. DISRESPECTFUL staff. There's no structure. There's one particular employee I'd like to highlight because you should check your cameras at how she treats your customers. The short middle aged woman that puts your plates together should not receive a paycheck for how she treats customers. Train & invest your employees customer service skills. Huge fail

I've been to 3 other cafe Rio locations in Orange County and let me tell you why I keep coming back to this one. It's simply the employees. We come to cafe Rio about once every two months and this location always greets us with a smile, the environment here is comfortable and clean. You don't feel rushed, the food comes out great. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Not only is the food amazing, affordable and generous portions ... the staff keeps me coming back! The customer service is like no other!!! Joel is ALWAYS welcoming! I've always been a fan of this chain. It's really good, great ingredients, and they're very filling meals. I love that the tacos are made with flour tortillas. Very Tex-Mex. I usually order the Barbacoa tacos. They're so flavorful and slightly sweet. They also have many fresh juices to pick from, like Mango lemonade, Mint Limeade, and Horchata. The rewards app gives you $5 off, and periodic coupons. There aren't too many of these around, but whenever I'm nearby, and in need of super filling tacos, or burrito, I don't hesitate!

I ate at Cafe Rio 2 months ago in Moreno Valley. The lady gave me the wrong order instead of the sweet pork nachos she gave us chicken nachos that was horrible I wasn't expecting that. We didn't return it mu daughter don't like drama. Be careful after you purchase make sure it's the right order.
