"Great Vietnamese food in Newport! It's a nice little spot in the popular area of Newport Beach. There isn't much seating but it's the perfect grab n go. The service was good and quick. The food was even better. Grilled Turmeric Chicken Vermicelli Noodle was a 10/10! The chicken was seasoned and perfectly cooked. The noodles were great. It was filling and the sauce was perfect. The shrimp spring rolls 10/10. They taste like authentic spring rolls. The peanut sauce was untraditional, but still good peanut sauce."
"I came to Omeli Kitchen on Valentine's Day around 7 PM and was seated right away, even without a reservation. The restaurant was full, yet the three women running the show handled everything seamlessly. The space is a bit snug, but they make great use of it and keep it spotless.Service was great and attentive. The food was next level. Every dish had so much flavor, and the portions were generous--you'll leave feeling well-fed and already planning your next visit."

"Ordered pho combination to go. It felt very home feeling when I walked into the restaurant and was greeted by an elderly couple. They were very kind, and patient. Although I ordered food to go, they offered me water while I waited for my food to be prepared. I appreciate it the hospitality. Broth was very flavorful. Meat to noodle ratio was fantastic. It definitely hits the spot, especially during these cold winters. Location: love that there is plentiful of parking."
"The seafood here was amazing and fresh... I recommend coming in early so they don't run out of certain seafoods... as they did not have all the clams when we came last. The service was pretty good but you do have to wave down the server a few times to bring napkins and water when they are busy.I'd give them 5 stars but their noodles are meh... and the soup I had last time was lackluster as well. So I highly recommend seafood and stick to the seafood!"
"Perfect in every way. Amazing taste, portions big enough for left overs. Love the fresh shrimp spring rolls, the fried egg roles, wonton soup, filet mignon pho and shrimp fried rice! The perfect go to for a Sunday night in at home!"
"I have been sick and store bought soups are worthless. How wonderful to find a delicious, cozy little soup spot near me that serves fresh, hot, packed soups of nutritional value that are just what the doctor ordered to help me regain my strength. They have much more than soup too. I'll be back because if their soup was this amazing, I'm sure the rest of the menu is too."
"Ok. I really don't know why this is so highly rated. With so many really good Vietnamese restaurants within 10 miles, the only reason to come here is that you are too lazy to drive.Barely comparable to food in Little Saigon. The vermicelli was soggy and the sauces were mediocre. To top it off, it's double the price as a dish that is twice as good in Little Saigon.Drive."
"Been wanting to try this place mostly because I love egg noodles and I actually prefer dry noodles. This restaurant in garden grove serves dishes that are $9.99 and everything on their menu is delicious. My friends practically ordered half the menu and I needed to try all of them cuz I knew I'd want to go back. They serve dry noodles and soup noodles and appetizers. Service was excellent and very fast! I was more impressed with their noodle dishes versus their appetizers. I also had the green thai tea and tasted the herbal tea and both were good and would definitely get again. I'm already craving this place and will ask them to add extra quail eggs in my noodles."
"This pho was ok.....was it the best...no but it satisfied my craving for some soup! Service was pretty quick and the prices were decent. This place was very casual and not fancy at all."
"This is my favorite local pho joint. I was sad when I saw they weren't in Newport anymore but they moved closer to where I live so it worked outEven better for me!!"
"This place has gone down the drain. I ordered the special crispy noodles and salmon rice. Both dishes taste not the same as before, especially my crispy fried noodles did not have any meat nor squid like before. Instead they put Chinese sausage and something that tasted like vegetarian meat, very strange and I could not eat it all because it was very difficult to eat.The customer service was terrible. Food quality has decreased significantly. I'm not sure if they have a new cook or new management but someone definitely ruined this place. The portions are also much less now ."
"I've been coming here since I was a kid with my mom. It's a classic spot, no frills, good food, and quick service. The banh bot loc is my favorite dish. The BBH is tasty, non spicy so chili oil is a must."

Ehhh. Not bad for a Vietnamese joint by the entrance to tourist-filled Balboa Island. The chicken banh mi is better than the grilled pork banh mi. The grilled pork banh mi was fattier than expected and had an unusual smoky flavor. Also ordered the mango passionfruit lemonade and iced thai tea. Half of each cup was ice. Iced Thai tea tasted pretty watered down. Service was fine. We had to grab our own napkins, condiments, etc from their supply stand.

Guess who's back?! Back again! My bf and I were long overdue for a visit! Oh how we've missed this gem!Ambiance/Environment: We visited on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. They're still poppin as usual. They have the same warm and welcoming ambiance.Service: We were greeted once we walked in. Luckily there were a few tables open, so we were seated right away. Shout out to our server Lynn! She recommended us their new dishes, and she was courteous, quick, & efficient.Food & drinks:1) Pho Combination - I really enjoy their broth. There was a generous amount of meats. Best believe I took advantage of their unlimited noodles!2) Lobster Garlic Noodles - I looove their garlic noodles! Perfect amount of garlic to where it's not too overwhelming. The lobster was cooked & seasoned well. Just wished the portion was a bit bigger, especially for its price.3) Chicken Wings - This is one of their newer appetizers! These are Vietnamese-style chicken wings. The wings were evenly fried and coated with fish sauce. The fish sauce was absolutely flavorful!4) Green Toss - This is another one of their newer appetizers! Lynn recommended this. It is a Spring mix mixed with red wine and vinaigrette, and tossed with pine nuts, parmesan cheese, fig balsamic, & pear. Sooo delicious! Perfect light appetizer to start off with!5) Taro Coffee - They changed their coffee since last time I visited. Their Vietnamese coffee is thicker and creamier. The coffee is strong with a hint of taro taste.6) Guanabana Fruit Tea - aka soursop fruit. This was a very refreshing juice!

Absolutely loved every dish here! They are pretty crowded on the weekends but we were able to snag a table here pretty quickly right before 6 PM on a Saturday evening.Every dish comes out piping hot! And once you order, it will come out pretty quick. It's the perfect place for a delicious family style meal. The eggrolls are super crispy, the shrimp is very sweet, and the snails are perfectly cooked! The clams are my favorite here!

I hate to take away a star, but it would be really great if Soup Shop had at least one English speaker able to answer the phone at all times. I called today to put in a pick up order, and the person answered in another language. No problem, I'm used to it. I said, "Hi, can I put in an order for pickup?" And the woman immediately hung up. Unfortunately this has happened before, so I decided to be patient and call back. Maybe she panicked and someone else would answer the phone this time. I was not planning on complaining. I called back, and it rang for a LONG time, before disconnecting. I really don't like to complain, especially about service; It was just very abrupt and rude. But I guess they have the right to refuse service to anyone...I found another pho place and ordered from there.

Food: $9.99 menu was an awesome deal! They have really good dry noodles. I would recommend #2 on the menu and #6, definitely worth the price. The portion is big which is nice. Fried calamari was a big disappointment for $11.99! No sauce, no flavor, just bland and it clumps together. I would not recommend it, better off getting saté wontons. Service: good service, they're fast at taking the order. But, the food comes out slow and not consistent. Ambiance: very nice and clean restaurant. They have a lot of worker going around cleaning and the place is spacious.

"Let's get to it. Yum and yum. I stopped by for lunch and tried their phở Bắc đặc biệt & bánh mi que pate. Bánh mi que - try it with or without the lemon grass chili sate on the table! One of my 2 top bánh mi que in the area. The other spot that wins my tastebuds is Trung Nguyên E-Legend's. You've got better ones in mind? Please do share--I'm dying to hear about them! Pho - fresh wide noodles with the perfect softness! Broth well-balanced not as fatty and meat very tender. 10/10 would visit again and again!"
"Amazing delicious dishes and always wonderful service. Love to support family owned businesses. Highly recommend !"
"How did I not know this place was here?? I've been feeling a bit under the weather and definitely needed a pho pick me up. This spot popped up on my nearby list so I figured why not? I ordered two bowls of pho with flat noodles and some egg rolls for takeout. The pho was actually quite good and felt like it brought me back to life. Their flat noodles are a lot wider than other ones I've experienced but for the price tag, their bowls are definitely worth it! Ordering online was super easy and it was ready on time. I'm excited to come back in person to dine in sometime."
"This restaurant is an absolute must-visit--a true hidden gem! The broth was incredibly flavorful and perfectly balanced. I hesitated to add sriracha or hoisin sauce because it was already so delicious on its own. I couldn't stop raving about it to a friend! I visited on a Saturday evening and ordered takeout; the restaurant was packed, which makes sense given how amazing the food is. One suggestion: update the pricing on the website. I saw pho brisket listed at $10.95 online, but my small order ended up costing $13.95. Still, the quality made it worth it!"
"Calling out to my Vegetarian-Yelper, be ready to be bedazzled by a small family own restaurant!I recently visited Hoa Sen, and I'm so glad I found this gem in Westminster! As I try to incorporate more plant-based eats, it's a bit challenge to find a spot with truly delicious and satisfying plant-based dishes, that serves great Chinese/Vietnamese flavors and styles. I found a several in Westminster that's worth a trip!! Yippee. From the moment I walked into Hue San, the atmosphere was inviting, with friendly hostesses and staff ready to serve. The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of flavorful Vietnamese dishes made entirely from plant-based ingredients. I like the old school "placemats" which are those paper Chinese astrology. :)It was hard to choose what to order, but we ordered papaya salad, crispy noodles, "fish" and the spring rolls--all four were amazing! 1- The papaya salad is a must. I think I pretty much ate this whole plate that was meant to be shared.2- Vitamins spring rolls had the perfect balance of fresh herbs and savory fried tofu.3- The fish dish was too salty but very aromatic. My friends liked it.4- The vegetables crispy noodles were "meh" and drenched with thick sauce.Overall, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The only downside was that parking can be a little tricky (one-way round about), as the location shares with other businesses."
"The Soup Shop on Euclid/Ball is our go-to for awesome late-nite food after a long day at Disneyland. Chianti and all of the night crew are efficient, attentive and friendly, even when it gets close to their closing time. With Disneyland employees and guests both heading over after the park, the restaurant is still bustling at 1am! Just be sure to be there before 1 and if they still have room, they'll be able to seat you.The rib-eye and rib bone pho options are both excellent and our kids love the popcorn chicken. With such consistently excellent service and food quality, we're regulars even though we're not locals!"
"I don't understand why this place is so highly rated. My friend and I ordered 2 bowls of Bun Mam. My bowl was brought out first. The broth wasn't hot enough and the fish was still raw because it hadn't completely thawed. I was so hungry that I left the fish and ate the meat and fish cake. The roast pork was very hard to chew . I had almost finished 1/2 my bowl but my friend's bowl still hadn't been brought out. Meanwhile, the two of us ordered 2 bowls of Bun Mam at the same time. And I reminded the waiter, my friend's bowl of Bun Mam was also brought out and the result wasn't any better than mine. The broth wasn't hot enough and the fish was raw like mine. After that, I had diarrhea all night. It was scary. Opening a restaurant requires a conscience and careful cooking to serve customers, otherwise no one will dare to come back to eat."
"Love this place! Still coming here since the beginning! Bruce has recommended some amazing options for me when I come in. I hope to eventually try everything on the menu. My fall back is always the rare beef pho!"
"Tried out their vermicelli bowl with chicken with Thai tea and I loved it. Fresh, warm and delicious."
"This place is great. I got take out on a Sunday morning. The wait was minimal. I got to order at the kiosk and it was super easy to order and customize the pho. The price is great for the portions and the quality of food. The veggies were fresh. The broth was delicious! I will definitely come back. Plenty of parking available. Sitting is available inside and outside."
"Hanoi Old Quarter is a little spot I've been frequenting, that specializes in food from the regions of Northern Vietnam.Parking is great and plenty, but in the case you don't know where Hanoi Old quarter is located yet, the entrance is located in the back lot of The Mall of fortune (behind 85 Degree Bakery). The first time I came here, I really wanted Canh Bun Cha Ca but they were sold out! So I opted for the Bun Nem Cua Be ($15.95), which consists of fried crab meat spring rolls, served with rice vermicelli, fresh veggies and a sweet fish sauce. It was my first time trying this dish, but this is probably my go to, I've already reordered! I came back for the Canh Bun Cha Ca ($15.55), which is a savory tomato and crab based soup that has fish cake, morning glory herb, tofu and crispy fried shallots. I enjoyed their version of this dish very much, the broth definitely has depth and is very hearty. Another dish I would like to mention is the Banh Canh Tom Cua Cha Ca ($15.55), which is like a Vietnamese seafood and pork udon. I love a thick noodle, so I had to try. I really did enjoy Hanoi Old Quarter's play on this dish, because they do not skimp on the crab and it was a flavor bomb. I'm usually all over this dish, but was so hesitant to order it here because they make it slurry style (think of the texture of an egg drop soup). When I usually eat this dish, I prefer it more bone broth-y. Even then, I would reorder this, so that says a lot!my favorite drink here is Jasmine Green Tea with the special fruit jam ($5.95), so refreshing, subtly sweet and fragrant. I have tried the lemon and mango tea but they're too tart for my taste.I really enjoy it here because it is full of chill vibes, Viet pop jams and the decor is super cute. They usually do not have an extensive wait time. I love that their flavors are deep, portions large and they do not skimp on anything. Service is also good and fast. If that's your flow, you know where to go!"
"This might just be my new favorite banh cuon restaurant in town! I have been eyeing this spot for a while, since they are usually packed with a long line on weekends. Finally, I was able to try their freshly made banh cuon, and I completely understand why people love this spot.I visited on a Saturday morning right after opening. Even though we came early, people started to slowly trickle in throughout the morning. Of course, we had to try their famous banh cuon. It was easily a 10/10. The rolls are silky smooth and topped with delicious portions of fried shrimp, cold cut meats, and fresh veggies. Their housemade fish sauce was amazing as well. We also tried their bun bo hue, and the broth was super flavorful. We definitely understand why people brave the long wait in the morning, and I can say that it is definitely worth it!"
"You can tell this is a staple in the community. The food comes fast. And it's delicious on top of that. Theres plenty of seating inside but it does pick up on the weekends. It's really good and filling eats especially if you're on a budget. I think next time I'll be asking for more meat because they do load up on the carb portions but it's soooo good either way especially when you drench it in the fish sauce. I love coming here and will continue!"
"Coming from a Vietnamese, this place is THE BEST com tam in Orange County... hands down. I like to try com tam at different places but always come back to this place. I've been eating here since their OG location which was literally a few restaurants down from where it is now. Used to come here after every Sunday mass with my family. Their rice, meat selection, fish sauce, spring rolls, everything is sooo delicious! Not to mention took the huge portions they give you! Honestly their com tam incomparable imo. Try this place out and I know you'll also love the food. This place needs more love! I'm sad to see this place not as crowded as it used to be at its original location. I hope they stay in business because they're the best in town."
"This is a prime example of an excellent spot in a mini mall. It's a "hidden in plain sight" gem. There appears to be about six plant based main courses on the menu. Our fam got three of them with total raving satisfaction. Vegan PhoLemongrass Vermicelli - SUPERBTofu & Veggie fry with white rice. Spring rolls / tofuPlace was quiet yet not dead.TV screen going.Food came out quick-ish.Music nice touch. Economical.Pride - a mom and pop spot."
"The pho here is always flavorful and generous in serving size. There is a vegetarian broth available too. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The restaurant isn't fancy though clean and comfortable. Especially comforting on a rainy day!"
"Have been coming here for over 20 years and love their food. This is our go to Vietnamese restaurant in Southern CA. It's not fancy inside, but it's open late and the food is authentic and tastes good. We don't really get their pho or their soups. I'm not a fan of their broth, which I think is too sweet. Our favorite is the Crispy Imperial Rolls (A3), Steamed clams (A11), Shaken beef (E2 or B4) , and Vietnamese crepe (C7). I especially like the large side of mints and lettuce and their fish sauce. They have generous portions and we always leave feeling stuffed."
"Best pho in Tustin. Service is so nice too. Best option outside of Westminster. The broth is soooo good and they give such a good amount of meat. Don't sleep on this little gem guys."
"Food service was wonderful. Our waiter explained the whole menu patiently and made qreat suggestions. It was clean. The food wow was very flavorful and high quality. We went there because of the Dan Dan noodle promotion and 5 star reviews on Yelp but when we got there the waiter said the place was under new ownership and they didn't have any dan dan noodle pho. We tried something different and the food was delicious."
"Great location & easy parking! Quick drive from the Beach. Big menu with lots of options, including Vegetarian dishes. I ordered the classic Pho Chicken (soup) & spring rolls. Casual seating and near other eateries (in shopping center) if you decide to take-out. The Thai Tea is perfect for dessert."
"Pho Nic is one of those rare spots where the energy is always calm, no matter how busy it gets. My sister is autistic and easily overstimulated, but we come here every single Sunday because the atmosphere is consistently peaceful. It's never chaotic, never overwhelming. The customer service is another standout. The staff is proactive, accommodating, and never rushed. Even when it's busy, they handle everything with ease, making sure you're taken care of without feeling hurried or brushed off.The food: it's solid and feels health-conscious. It's not mind-blowing or the best Vietnamese food I've ever had, but it's decent. The shrimp wontons are packed with actual shrimp (no filler), the egg rolls are crisp without being too greasy, and overall, the quality is there. Plus, the location is super convenient. If you're looking for a place with good food, great service, and a consistently welcoming vibe, Pho Nic delivers every time."
"Really good Pho here. The broth is delicious. I stopped by here for a TO-GO order. (My dentist is close by Target)I am glad I took a chance on this place. This was Wed, 8/28. I ordered two of the #13-Rare Steek, Flank, Brisket and Meat Ball Pho Combo Noodle Soup.Took it home and put everything into a real bowl because I don't like eating it out of the plastic bowl. Things can get quite hot.Pro-tip for TO-GO orders. Since they did all the work for you, the least you can do is to pour the broth into a pot and boil it. That way everything is nice and hot. They way Pho should be served.Service was fast and friendly. I paid cash and got a discount on my order. Place was clean and organized. I will be back to try other dishes. As for the Pho and the meat. It was great!"
"I had to try what was dubbed "OC's best banh mi" on various internet posts. I am usually a THH loyalist as it is close to my house, but I need to give Carrot and Daikon its well-deserved flowers. The baguettes are large, soft, and crunchy. The meats are savory and addicting. The pickled vegetables offer the perfect refreshing note. I highly recommend the #6 (Crispy Pork Belly) and the #14 (Lemongrass Beef). I gave the #15 (Lomo Saltado) a try as well, but I think the former options are tastier. #15 could use a little more sauce, it was a little drier than the others. Anyways, highly recommend. These sandwiches will fill you up quickly."
