"Service was the best! Very attentive staff! We ordered the pork appetizer. One of the best things I've ever had in my mouth. Then the cucumber salad. I think I like Persian cucumbers better but these had good flavor. I would not order it again as it is too big of a portion for me and doesn't stay overnight without getting spongy. Next we ordered pork light broth ramen and a small two piece fried chicken rice bowl. Both were delicious. We ordered curry to go."
"A good spot when you feel like ramen and want something to hit the spot. We tried the Hakata Tokotsu and the Chicken Paitan and both were good, nothing crazy but good. They are conservative on the spiciness level so I'd definitely get a spicier level next time as my medium spicy was less than a mild elsewhere. Service was great and they have a smooth process, on weekend evenings I'd definitely get on the waitlist from yelp instead of waiting to get there. We went on a rainy Saturday and definitely had to wait about 30/40 minutes so plan ahead! The place itself is also nice and there's plenty of parking within the mall"

"Made a 20min drive out to check out this 3 time Michelin Star winner restaurant. I am surprised to see reviews on bad customer service because our experience was nice and it was busy. I can understand maybe a language barrier with the gentlemen bringing out the food but our waitress Yoshiko (name on the receipt) was great and taking care of every single table. It is a small place so expect a wait at peak hour. The food did not disappoint everything was great. I would not make the drive out but I'd definitely pay them another visit if I'm conveniently in the area."
"The tsukemen was good and flavorful! They use my favorite type of noodles for the ramen and load you up with the toppings, which I thought was very generous. If you check in on Yelp, you get 2 free toppings, so I definitely took advantage of that! Our server Tristan was so amazing and hooked us up with free sides/toppings for us to try. They were the perfect pairing to the meal!"
"Heard many great things about this place so decided to check it out. Located in a plaza with many other food shops right next door, but noticed that 80% of the people were eating this ramen! There is plenty of seating outside where this ramen place as well as other vendors will bring out the food to you if you choose outside seating. We chose to sit outside because it was a beautiful weather and wanted the fresh air. My bf and I both ordered the shoyu ramen and I added the garlic and house spicy sauce to mine which were free! Service was pretty good, they brought out the food at an efficient time and did check on us throughout the meal even though we were seated outside. The ramen was incredibly flavorful and I could see why it is popular. I would rate it a 7.5/10 as I have had better but it is still a good ramen spot to checkout. Total came to $38 for two bowls bc they automatically add a 10% gratuity fee. Great place and location! Check it out if you are in the mood for ramen!"
"The Ramen here is super good. Both of my kids will eat more Ramen than they should. They would eat this every day if they could. And the storefront uses a lot of wood. And if you're really hungry for Ramen, then you really should."
"The place is cute and has very nice interior decor! We were seated in the booth area in front of the neon signs and I was so happy to see the sign. It was a good experience! We both got the classic combo with different side dishes! Our server was nice and quick when it came to ordering. The food was good. Rich and creamy broth."
"On cold days, a big bowl of hot noodle soup always sounds so comforting and delicious! The shrimp broth is what Le Shrimp is known for, but I wanted to switch things up from my usual order and try the spicy chicken broth with delicious dark meat chicken and wide noodles. This dish really hit the spot! The chicken was tender and full of yummy five spice flavor, and the noodles were chewy and extremely satisfying. The broth was just spicy enough and very savory. I couldn't get enough of it!Would definitely order this again and I think it would also be a really nice dish if I'm feeling under the weather. Service was friendly and the ambiance at Le Shrimp Noodle Bar is casual. They're pretty efficient too so we got in and out fairly quickly.Look forward to our next visit!"
"They are super friendly and the food is delicious. The salmon burrito is so good(sorry, forgot to take picture), they use soy paper so don't worry about your carbs. perfect protein for the day"
"My fiance has talked about San Sushi many times, this has been their go to Sushi place even before we've met! Located in Old Town Placentia, this place is quite charming, has a small mom and pop vibe with friendly staff and expedient service. Being this was my first time and heard so much about it AND I was really hungry, we ordered quite a bit. To begin with, we started with the: *Calamari legs - perfectly fried! I really liked it, tender, flavorful and not gummy. We jumped in right away with the Sashimi and ordered the Sashimi Sampler! not going to beat around the bush but if you want an instant wow, then try this sampler plate! a trio of Tuna, Salmon and Yellow tail, so fresh and delicious, it just melts in your mouth good! oh, one more thing, make sure to order a side of Premium Wasabi with it - you will not regret it - TRUST ME!For the rolls, we ordered:OC Sunset - so good and delicious! I love the generous slice of salmon on top! and this roll isn't small mind you, it's a mouthful!Fire Tempura Roll - I like this a lot but I am still partial to any rolls having a generous amount of fresh fish on top lolSummer Night - I like how fresh and delightful this roll is. A combination of tuna, salmon, yellow tail with Avo & Cucumber - it's like summer in your mouth :PFor two people, I think we ordered quite a bit but... we ate it all!I really like San Sushi, good food, friendly service and I love the neighborhood sushi place vibe - definitely in my places to re-visit!Kampai!"
"Always a great experience at Ramen Mira. Food is always delicious. Today I got the Special Combo Habanero Ramen and a side of Gyoza and my husband got the Special Combo Habanero Ramen with the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. Ramen was flavorful, hot, spicy and filling. Perfect for a rainy day. For the first time, I tried their Gyoza and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice and WOW delicious, full of flavor. Highly recommended."
"Honestly, this is my go-to ramen spot in the Fullerton/Anaheim area! The ramen is always a perfect 10/10, and I love that they offer more than just pork broth options for non-pork eaters. I usually go for the miso chicken and make it extra spicy!**Plus, all their fried sushi is amazing."

A coworker took me here for lunch since she recommended it for ramen and I haven't really been exploring the ramen scene around the area. I always pass by here being in the plaza for Daiso and Sup so was happy to finally give it a try.She recommended me to try the kitakata ramen and honestly it didn't disappoint! It was a very simple dish just ramen, broth, chashu, and bamboo shoots. The noodles were interesting because they were a lot wavier than ones I'm used to but I liked the texture of it. The soup was nice and light which I really enjoyed. The chashu though!! It was salted enough but also so tender and flavorful I was surprised! I reaaally enjoyed the chashu and would definitely recommend it to a friend to try.My coworker got their tan tan noodle and I got to try her broth. I'm definitely getting that next time. I enjoyed the chili oil flavor it gave as it felt gingery and sweet, and not just a pure hot oil.Overall was pleased with the meal and would love to come back! Service was on, bare minimum I'd say and I went during a not so busy time.

My go-to Ramen place! Their broth is so creamy, and flavorful. The ambiance is casual, but the service is great! Ordering to go is great too! Have come here as a family, date night, & with my kid. It can get a bit loud if it is busy, but it is worth it for the food!

I've been enjoying the food here for years. Tao is well known for its miso and tsukemen ramen. If you like miso-style ramen, this place is for you. Although I have to watch my sodium intake these days, I occasionally treat myself to a heart-warming bowl or one of their rice bowls. My go-to ramen is the tsukemen, which has cold, thick noodles and warm, miso-savory broth. The Chashu Red Miso Ramen has a flavorful, bold broth and thick noodles. The chashu slices have a meaty texture, and have tender fat ends. If you like food with a kick, check out the spicy options. The regular-size ramen is also filling and more than enough for me to finish. The chicken ramen is also a delicious option if you prefer a lighter yet flavorful broth. The thin noodles and chicken slices were cooked well. Combos are also great options if you are hungry. The gyoza and karange are my favorite starters. Don't sleep on the rice bowls! My favorite is the Beef Bowl, reminiscent of the Japanese-style gyudon bowls from the most popular franchises in Japan. It features thin-cut meat with fatty pieces, sauteed onions, and a flavorful sauce that seeps into the rice. The staff at Tao has been consistently kind and accommodating every time I've dined here. Despite the limited dining space, the service and food quality make it worth the visit. It reminds me of a local ramen joint in Japan. I'm glad there are more top-rated ramen options in OC. The story behind the chef and shop is also interesting and available on their website.

We went to HoriNori yesterday for dinner. It was so good! It was my first time having ramen. Wow! I ordered the Vegan Ramen with thick noodles. Yummy! It is very small, but there is plenty of seating outside. We did join the waitlist on our way there and we only waited for about 5 minutes. Service was good. Food was super delicious. We will definitely be coming back soon!

My first ever bowl of non-instant ramen was many years ago in this Mitsuwa food court, and it opened my eyes and tastebuds to a wonderful world of Japanese comfort food. At that time, I didn't know what to expect from a small bowl of soup and noodles. I was baffled at how a milky-looking broth didn't taste creamy, how it tasted so savory and addicting. And to this day, the umami flavors are still there. The salt ramen comes with a plum thing, and I never knew what it does for the ramen other than being a possible ginger substitute, but I don't like the taste and just take it out haha. On my most recent visit, I ordered a small soy sauce ramen. I wasn't even hungry, but I still finished it easily. I usually get ramen with the pork, but I wished Santouka was more generous with portions overall, especially with how pricey it is. This Hokkaido ramen looks and tastes similar to Hakata ramen, but I guess Hakata ramen has a richer and more distinct broth.Though any sized bowl of ramen is quite expensive here, I still enjoy eating it whenever someone wants to go. Browsing the Japanese goods in the store afterwards is always nice. Lot parking can be a hassle nowadays, especially with the crowds and construction.

This is my 2nd time trying SilverLake Ramen 11.27.24My 1st time was their Chino Hills Location.Cane here during Thanksgiving Break.Wanted some yummy warm soup along with I love ramen & loved SilverLake Ramen when I had it before.Got to the restaurant 10 mins til 9 p.m.They close at 10 p.m. but per the host at the entrance of the restaurant started that they weren't taking any more dine in customers because they had 10 people already on the waiting list. Was pretty bummed since mee and my girlfriend was hungry. So we decided to order it to go. What I got~ Blaze Ramen w Pork. The broth is very creamy and full of flavor. The noodles were good and chewy. A decent amount. The spice level was really good. It was really spicy. FYI if you don't want too much spice. Recommend getting it med spicy. This one is my all time fav ramen here. Pork slices were thick and soft. Host was sweet and very friendly. Got our items to go within a good amount of time. The restaurant is pretty spacious and big w lots of booths table along w outdoor covered patio seatings. Nice typical Ramen restaurant. Restaurant is next to the Dive Oyster Bar & Shake Shack. Not far from Somi Somi Ice cream & dessert.

Finally I got to try this shrimp noodle! I'm very much familiar with this dish because is quiet common in Singapore and my family always takes me whenever I go visit them.Located in South Coast plaza , at their newish food hall , it's very easy to spot and the line moves pretty fast. We were greeted by the manager and I think they were understaffed that night because it took us a while to place an order or even to refill our water. They have couple seat variations with table or booth. We went there on a Friday during Chinese new year week, and they had lion dance inside the food hall! The flavor of the broth is soooo rich, won't recommend if you're allergic to shrimp because my partner got a severe allergic reaction just by tasting it tiny bit ! Can't wait to come back!

"Let me start by saying that this place came highly recommended by a friend.I did not think my sushi was fresh. It had an old taste to it that did not make it pleasant - at all. On top of that, there were many gnats flying around our table. It was disgusting.Service was not that great either as 2 of us were served their food and had to wait 5 minutes for our friend to get hers. Speaking of hers, they forgot to bring her a bowl of rice that she had ordered, so we had to wait a bit longer for that. With so many sushi options around, I don't think I'll try this place again."
"Always hunting for another good sushi spot. This place popped up so we went. You place your name on waitlist and they text you when your table is ready. It was a Friday night and surprisingly we were sat pretty quick. Started with edamame and they were very good and presented nicely. The California roll wasn't anything to write home about but they were large. The crunch roll was one of my favorite I have ever had but a tad on the sweet side. I liked that it wasn't too crunchy like some rolls are. It is surgical in its layers of crunch. Another roll I liked was the dragon roll. The rolls are on the larger side which is good but they match the price. The Tonkotsu ramen was pretty bland so I recommend adding some spice or sauce to spruce up the broth but the ingredients were all tasty. Overall it's a decent place to get sushi. Service was excellent and quick and they always checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Worth checking out if you are close by but I was neither super impressed nor upset we ate there either."
"Super friendly staff - i would come back just for the people here. Every single person working here were so nice and friendly - not in an over-kill way too. There was a bit of wait but the food and people definitely made it worth it. Very clean table and utensils. I liked that I can just order and pay on my phone. So convenient!"
"We come here often because 1. Food is excellent 2nd to none we have eaten in.2. Service exemplary. Luke and Menji r so customer oriented courteous, sof spoken and just great to deal with. They respect their customers 3. Ambiance lovely it's good to c the place bustling with satisfied customers all the time"
"BEST RAMEN EVER! This location is particularly nice because it's bigger and the wait usually isn't bad compared to the Costa Mesa location. Also plenty of parking! My husband RAVES about the Green Chili Shio Ramen (Regular $15.95) and from what we've seen, this is the only place you can get it. It's perfect if you love spicy food.I personally love the Miso Ramen, substitute chashu for tofu (Regular $15.95). It's super flavorful but not overly greasy and the noodles are thick and chewy. This is generally our go-to ramen spot. You honestly can't go wrong with any item, including the delicious appetizers!"
"Food: good. Service: nice chef and attentive serverAmbiance: quiet place . Good for working on laptop."
"HIRO Ramen & Udon is my favorite spot for some bomb.com yummy udon. Omg... I wish this place was closer to me, but unfortunately it's not. So whenever I'm in SoCal, I have to come here at least once or twice.I love the U2 Niku Beef Udon. It's perfectly flavorful, delicious, and just food for your soul...and belly. :D It's perfect. I have not tried their ramen, but I'm pretty sure they're good too. I'm just really hooked on the udon. What can I saw.. I'm committed to it. Hehe.. It's really easy to order through the touchscreen, and the service is pretty quick and friendly. I love the self-serve additional things that they have such as the pickled radishes and crunchies. The place is decorated beautifully with the Japanese touches. The bathroom is clean. They have chill music playing. I just simply love this place. I can't wait to come back again the next time I'm in the area. :D"
"Located in the District at Tustin Legacy, this is a perfect place to have Japanese ramen especially on a rainy day. The day I visited was quite chilly so I had to eat something that will not only warm my body but also heart. When I was about to enter the building, one couple came out and told me that they really enjoyed their meal that they recommend me trying any of their dishes, which I appreciated their opinion. The restaurant has a clean, chic and modern look with wooden chairs and tables, which gave that comfortable and warm Japanese ramen place vibe in Japan. The server was helpful explaining the difference of each ramen and she brought the food quickly one by one. Spicy Garnet broth was savory, thick and rich with right amount of spiciness and the fried garlic slices were bonus that enhanced the flavor. The noodles, chashu and the seasoned egg was tender and tasty that went well with the broth. I also enjoyed the fresh seared salmon sushi and crunchy chicken karaage very much since it was great with the noodle soup."
"Great restaurant! One of my favorite here at the spectrum. The dumplings were my favorite! And the vibe was very relaxedThe staff were friendly! Make sure to ask for Ian! Took care of us and our family ."
"Great little spot for fresh Sushi yummyTry the Newport roll with no rice- Spicy fire crunch and don't forget to get a crazy monkey"
"BIG YUMMM! I was craving ramen (which is very rare for me I never crave anything outside my 5 rotating dishes) and I did a lot of yelp digging and so glad I found this place. I got the spicy ramen & deep fried California roll and everything was a 5/5. Price was great, parking was a breeze, and service was excellent! The place can be a little cramped so not recommended for big groups outside of 4 people."
"A gem in the Costa Mesa area!! It's been part of the community for years. It's also rare to find a true Japanese style Chinese spot, which also means the menu/flavors are a little different from what most people are used to. We came on a weekend and it was pretty quiet. The staff are friendly and attentive! Food: I got the tenshinhan, which is something I've never had before. While the gravy looks overly thick in the photo, the flavor was actually quite light and not too salty! I ended up taking some home because it was so fillling. The shoyu ramen broth has a clean-tasting quality and isn't too oily. We also ordere the ebichili because we've never seen something like it at a Japanese restaurant. Also delicious! Parking: It's inside a plaza so there's lots of parking available."
"From food to service to atmosphere, this place was the perfect spot for a casual dinner. My girls and I were deciding between a pho place or this and ended up siding with this spot for their extensive and interesting menu. Also we love that this location is spacious because we had a baby with us. Parking was really easy here as there were plenty of spots open. For our food selection, we got the cold tofu, cucumbers, both types of spicy wontons, Le Shrimp trio broth noodles (with thick noodles), and the crispy chicken rice bowl. Everything had such great flavors to it. My favorite of the night had to be the cold tofu and it might be because they used silken tofu. Obsessed with how sweet, savory, and soft it was. We were pleasantly surprised at how affordable everything was. Our total bill came out less than $70! Honorable mention to our fantastic and only server of the night, Truman! He did an incredible job at helping us out and accommodating a lot of our needs. We also loved how playful he was with the baby at our table. Thanks Truman for making the experience even more wonderful!"
"Came here by chance, after being at Dripp next door. They kind of share the outside patio, however the restaurant cuts off half for their patrons only. We ordered jalapeño poppers as an appetizer, spicy but delicious!I ordered the Philadelphia roll and a draft Sapporo to go with it. Roll was a good size and tasted fresh. We ate on the patio since it was nice and shaded with their pergola. Service was very friendly. Overall I'd recommend and come back."
"This review is solely for the ramen. It is worth it if you got a coupon for a discount in the mail. However, I knew was just from the location of this place that the ramen would not be that great. It is not bad for warm noodle soup in RSM if you're craving that comfort food, but don't expect Japanese quality ramen here like you could get if you drive to Irvine."
"Since the past few months, Yuka has been our go-to for sushi. Also it makes us feel good to support our local neighborhood businesses! They do have an AYCE menu but husband and I just cannot eat that huge quantity of food anymore so we always opt for ordering off the menu.If you come before 5PM, there are some happy hour dishes for lesser price! Some favorites dishes we usually order include:Yellowtail carpacchio - a must!Omakase sashimiShishito peppersVeggie tempuraSesame chickenChicken katsu combseaweed saladAny rolls! Nice beer, sake, sochu list! Service is nice, friendly, and quick! The music streaming reflects current pop culture. Keeps you feeling young :)Kampai!"
"Had a nice late night fall dinner here and enjoyed all the warm comfort! We came for the ramen and tenders that did not disappoint. The ramen was creamy, full of ingredients, amazing flavor and beautifully presented. The tenders were very unique and had an amazing crunch outside. They are extremely rich and greasy so I wouldn't want to eat them as my sole entree but I'd recommend sharing! And of course could t pass up the dessert dumpling. So good!"
"Backs again for the Jun Tonkotsu this time! So great! Service is always so friendly and the ramen comes out hot and ready to eat. Don't forget to add an egg. Love the ambiance!"
"Ordered from a machine and got the edamame and vege ramen--and double checked that it was vegetarian (it was! though not vegan; there are eggs in the noodles)The edamame was a little salty, but tasty. Definitely overdressed; you'll find a pool of sauce at the bottom as you're eatingThe vege ramen had a really nice broth that was very well balanced. My main gripe was that there weren't enough veggies (just fried tofu and the typical ramen toppings of green onions, bean sprouts, mushrooms, fried onions, seaweed). I also liked the little salad that came with it."
"Finally got to try Silver Lake! I've been meaning to try it next time I was was actually in Silver Lake, but now it's in Irvine! Sadly I went to the one at Spectrum 3 times over the weekend. Each time it was an hour wait. Wasn't willing to wait an hour for comfort food like this. So I feel extra spoiled o have one down the street! Excellent ramen. Excellent pork buns. Seating area is small at this location, so lunch time might become a mess. Can't wait to come back."
"Eating here felt less like going to a restaurant and more like being invited to a home cooked meal. Service by the owners, veggies obviously chopped by hand and still crisp in the ramen broth, cute and homie use of paper plates, unique takes on dishes...sugar crust on the goyza a for example. We were staying nearby at great wolf lodge and ventured out because my 6 year old wanted sushi for her birthday dinner...never expected to find such a gem next to a nearby 711.I thought the baked clams were one of the more tasty things we had. I ordered them after seeing an oler Japanese woman enjoying them. We were fighting over them they were so good. the ramen was better than the sushi, but everything was delicious and so so fresh. No shortcuts taken here. Let a bunch of empty plates and with full stomachs."
"So fresh!!The Avocado roll was on point. One of the freshest hand- rolled avocado rolls I've had!And the service was fast. I mean, I ordered it and bam it was ready. The presentation was there too, so it wasn't like it was rolled all sloppy. It was perfectly done. Price was reasonable."
"I wish this was a sit down place! We called to see what the situation was when we arrived, the worker was really nice and explained how to order, he even texted the link over. It's a really cool concept to order and pick up in a locker style drop box though. You place your order online, once it is ready, you scan your order screen on a tablet and the door pops open. The wait was not long at all at 10:30 pm, it took about 15 minutes to prepare.chicken katsu curry 3/5 - The curry sauce had a good spice level, the rice was fresh and well cooked, the chicken itself was not as flavorful but the katsu batter was crispy.pork katsu curry 5/5 - For this one, it was spot on. The curry sauce had a good spice level, the rice was fresh and well cooked, the pork itself was so flavorful and the katsu batter was crispy but also had softness to it, the perfect combination of texture and flavor. Chicken & Kurobota Pork Pot Stickers 5/5 - Very flavorful on it's own, but the sauce made it perfect! They were a great size too, perfect amount of filling and perfectly cooked. I also enjoyed that they came as a 6 piece, most places will only give you 5 which makes it difficult to evenly share.Overall, we will definitely be coming back! They are open late and have really good quality food."
