"One of my favorite Mexican food spots with a great view. Portions are huge so always end up with left overs."
"I wish this place was 5 stars but honestly its really an overly hyped cafe. I had high expectations due to the reviews and I left disappointed.I ordered the green pazole and Mexican fluffy pancakes.First red flag- they charge you for chips n salsaThe food is NOT bad, its just not amazing either. Pay $15-$17 for 3 regular pancakes ( nothing fluffy amount them) a sliced half of a strawberry lol cmon guys. Now the pazole verde- I REALLY wanted to love this because I was craving it, but unfortunately super disappointing. Its not terrible but its just blah. For $17-$21 for pazole, I would hope its bomb but it wasnt.$7-$10 drinks ( Arnold Palmer and Horchata) Overall I was disappointed because I couldve made 3 "actually" fluffy pancakes at home , and made my homemade green pasole rather than paying $60 for 2 meals that were just blah. Can I cook myself... yes! But I didnt want to. I wanted to treat myself and my son and instead I left feeling robbed of money for a mediocre placeThis is a 6/10 place"

"Let's start with the show stopper- the shrimp quesadilla! The shrimp quesadilla was sooo good! It was loaded with cheese and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. And you get a lot of shrimp. My fiancé said it was the best shrimp quesadilla he has ever had. And I agree, it was great! 10/10The cheese enchiladas with avocado added were great! Super cheesy and had good flavor. I also added eggs for more protein, and that really made this dish delicious!! 10/10 I will definitely be back. This place was amazing."
"This was our first time at Flecha Cantina and let me start off by saying, our server Annabel was amazing! Food was delicious and it came out pretty fast! The atmosphere was great! It felt like you were in a club lol but it's not, great music and drinks! Staff were amazing!Ask for Annabel next time you're there, she'll take care of you!"
"Come here!! (not the touristy places on PCH). The food is excellent, quick service, even when there's a line out the door, and great prices. We used to come here in 2014 when we lived here. We were very happy to see it's still outstanding and Carlos and staff are working hard and excellently after 10 years!"
"This is consistently good fast casual food. I typically have the two taco combo with the fish tacos. It comes with rice (awesome and buttery) and beans (black or pinto). This is a good portion of food. They also have a salsa bar with nice selection of heat. This place never disappoints."
"Food overall was okay. Filet Mignon tasted better than Asada. The Shredded Beef taquitos appetizer is very good. Guacamole not impressed. Ceviche way over priced $25 for 3 very small portions. Tacos were okay, tortillas were way too greasy. Transferred to flour tortillas. The green salsa is very good and tasty!Ambiance for Sat night after 5pm was great. Super busy for small place and great music and choice of music. The bar was full and no empty space.Service was decent. Did not clear plates enough especially for very small tables. Reservation for sisters bday of 8 people and they awkwardly place one square and one round table together. Not convenient, or logical."
"Small hole in the wall place with lots of flavor. We were at the ice rink down the street and walked over here for lunch. It is a small location on the edge of a strip mall. They have a few tables inside and out. Order at the counter. They have a good variety of foods. The wrap is grilled and delicious. We also got noodles, which had some kick. Everything we had good and we will definitely be back."
"Who would have thought a small, rinky, hole in the wall Mexican diner would offer one of the best chicken fried steaks!! Being from the south, I grew up on hearty breakfasts. Everything loaded with gravy. Carlito's CFS did not disappoint!! Crispy chicken steak smothered, no, drowning in sausage gravy! For the price you really get a large portion too. It included 3 eggs made your way, I opted for hashbrowns and a side of toast. The diner itself is very tidy and clean. Excellent customer service. Upon entry, go to the counter to place your order then they will bring your food out."
"Yummy! Walked into a restaurant filled with friendly faces. Started off our meal with some warm chips, salsa and delicious refried beans. I tried their pineapple margarita and it was nice and strong. The taco sampler was a great choice for us who wanted to try different meats, but my boys went with the 3 asada tacos, I tried their taco and enchilada combo, which was also delicious. They were all well plated and came out in a good amount of time."
"Great ambiance- shrimp ceviche is excellent Lime margaritas were a little too sweet for all 3 in our party Server was very nice."
"Always a family favorite for over 20+ years Great little hole in the wall. Grandkids grew up coming here."

One of our favorite restaurants in Laguna! Wait is never too long even when it's super busy, valet is inexpensive and makes it super easy. The patio is the best with amazing view and the service is always top notch. I always order the shrimp tacos and they are definitely some of the best ones I've ever had. We love the salsa and ordering calamari. My fiancé likes the chicken burrito and honestly everything that they make is so delicious. I wish we lived closer because their happy hour is amazing as well, and can't forget to mention their house margarita is delicious and strong.

So, the friend and I needed to go to Anaheim to pick up some wood for some woodworking projects we were doing and I looked on Yelp to find a place on our way from San Clemente to Anaheim and back. Gonzalez's Restaurant popped out. Investigating more, I found that they had a special of "Pambazo" which I had never heard of before. I have a been to Mexico several dozen times for business and pleasure and no one ever introduced me to this kick ass sandwich and frankly, I am a little bit pissed off! I have had tortas, dipped in sauce, to help many a hangover, but I had not been exposed to the "Pambazo". So, I had a mission. We got to the small shop and there were several people in there, but not crowded. It was about noon on a Thursday. Hole in the wall place? Kinda, sorta, but very clean and not grungy at all. We were greeted nicely by a gal who's grandparents (I think, or parents?) own the restaurant. She was very, very nice and while some people ordered at the counter, she told us we to sit down with some menus and she would come take our order. While I reviewed the huge selection on the menu, I only wanted to try to Pambazo. Our server came to our table and was very patient as I asked many questions about the Pambazo options and the friend asked about the burrito protein options. What else, but I needed to try the OG, the Pambazo Papa con Chorizo. As we waited for our food, we were treated to some chips and a very tasty salsa. They should bottle it and sell it. Maybe they do, I didn't ask but I should have.Out came our food and it was piping hot. Yes. That's how you do it.As I poked and move the sandwich around, it was certainly soaked in the red enchilada sauce and I pondered if I should pick it up or get fork and knife. So unlike me (and most other men) I asked for directions from the server. She said I needed to pick it up and get my hands dirty, as that is how it is done. So, damn it, I did as I was told. This was the messiest deliciousness I have ever had. Bread was fresh and soaked with the red sauce. Chorizo was EXCELLENT. Lettuce and queso fresco were in there as well. Yum, Yum, Yum... Stop reading this, get your butt in the car and get yourself to Gonzalez's Restaurant. Now. Are you still reading????Go. Eat GREAT. HAVE FUN!

Came in solo for Sunday Brunch because I had a gift card that was expiring. I made reservations for 2 for the patio but then my party became 1. I was promptly seated inside by the bar with a view of the dessert station. My server took me on a tour of the buffet I asked if I could sit outside and she either didn't understand the request or the answer was no. She handed me a plate in response. I would have enjoyed sitting on the patio which is why I requested it on my reservation. It was not full. There is a variety of foods, a taco, quesadilla, chilaquile station. Lots of shrimp, pork, ribs and beef and chicken. You will definitely fill up after 1 or 2 plates. There is ice cream, cotton candy and a chocolate fountain. The fruits are not ripe but better than over ripe. The desert station has a lot of options. Cheesecake would be a nice addition.Non alcohol drinks are included. The service is A+. They go out of their way to be friendly and attentive. You have a welcome cocktail and its an overall upscale friendly brunch experience. Highly recommend. I came around noon and it ends at 2. Plenty of nearby parking. Their bar is absolutely beautiful.

Generous portions, good food. It's a busy little hole in the wall place, but they crank to get everyone served. Our party sat on the patio and enjoyed the food and conversation. There's ample parking. I would recommend and we'll be back.

Ordered Chicken Baja Bowl..where's the meat??? So I have loved this lake forest restaurant for many years!! I do want to say I recognize that you have to pay more for your employees. The cost of food has gone up and so has the price for the food items on your menu and that is OK. I get it !!..all that I'm saying is for the money I'm paying I'd like to know I'm getting value For the Buck! My Baja bowl was good, but it was lacking in protein that's all

I recently visited Palmillo in Newport and had an unforgettable dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is breathtaking, with its beautiful design, stunning architecture, and abundant natural light flooding the space.A special shoutout to Louie, who was both professional and personable, making my time there even more enjoyable. The highlight of the lunch was the watermelon mojito, which was a delightful mix of lime and watermelon flavors--absolutely refreshing! For my main course, I chose the turf and surf enchiladas, and they were nothing short of amazing. The seasonings and sauces were perfectly balanced, making every bite a delightful experience. I would certainly order the same dish again on my next visit. What I didn't like was the chips. They smell and tasted stale and I'm not sure if it's the chip or the oil that fried them. I encourage the staff to double check to make sure the chips are always fresh.Overall, Palmillo offers a wonderful dining experience with its excellent service, delicious drinks, and mouth-watering dishes. Highly recommended!---

"LOVED LOVED LOVED Brayan & Beto!!!! Service was amazing, food was fantastic!!!! Had a long day & was indecisive, most restaurants when I ask what do you recommend seem bothered by the question but Brayan immediately suggested with confidence. All things he suggested were A+!"
"I don't eat here enough and I should because I love all their tacos. It's a good size and it's always a long line when I come here but I got here at a good time. Their fresh salsa bar is always my favorite too, their pico is just so perfect, I can't get it like that anywhere else. I always get the grilled and fried fish taco here and that was enough for me that day. I usually get 4 tacos but this time, I just needed 2 since I was gonna be busy that day."
"Oh man! I recently rediscovered this taco truck. I've visited a couple times before but forgot the location and name. When I recently looked up local taco trucks, this came to light and when I got there I was like.. OH that's where you are :) Their asada and al pastor are top notch. I got a couple tacos and our friends got burritos. Their sauces are really good and salsas are pretty spicy. I got grilled onions and extra fixings on top. This is more of a to-go spot unless you want to eat on your trunk or car :) Will be back!"
"Absolutely look forward to eating a lot of my meals here when I come into town. Super great food and service at a hole in the wall restaurant. Best Chicken tacos. I dream of my next visit in town and the house green sauce. Definitely don't miss out and come by for some amazing food. And Richard is still here helping out. Have eaten here for so many years. Growing up in the area it's fun to come and still see his face helping out. We need a restaurant like this in Idaho."
"Varsity Burgers in Anaheim is a fantastic spot, especially for those wanting a great meal without paying the typical "theme park tax." Located just a short distance from Disneyland, it's an ideal place to eat before or after visiting the park. I ordered a large order of chili fries and a hot pastrami sandwich, and both were impressive. The chili fries were generously topped and delicious, perfect for sharing or enjoying solo. The hot pastrami sandwich was the highlight for me, piled high with tender, flavorful meat that made each bite satisfying. The portions are massive and definitely worth the money. It's a great choice if you're looking for hearty, quality food at a reasonable price outside the theme park.I recommend the breakfast burritos, they are massive and well worth the money. Also the service is impeccable. They get your order out QUICKLY."
"Taco Tuesday spot inside the packing house in Anaheim. Small place was busy but we had good customer service. Valet parking is $10 parking here is a madness even on a week day. The atmosphere was chill good vibes not loud just perfect."
"We just had dinner tonight and can't wait to come back. It was delicious. Warm chips with delicious Salsa (sweet & spicy and Roja Mild) and amazing guacamole. The sweet and spicy definitely packed a punch. The bean and cheese burrito was fantastic. Perfectly melted cheese and beans inside a grilled tortilla. Both tacos were delicious. The OG taco was probably one of the best tacos I've ever had. The shrimp taco was suggested by the cashier and was great. Has some really nice heat. Location was great, with enough parking! Only two booths inside so plan on eating outside and dress appropriately. The employees were fantastic. So helpful and kind."
"Omar was my server and he was amazing ! Great entertainer and I will be back. Also loved the food"
"Back for more, I got my usual chicken enchiladas and tried something new. - Chicken Enchiladas | I've ordered this plenty of times in the past and for good reason; the chicken is always so tender and they never skimp out on the cheese. It's good, guys. Really, really good. - Carne Asada Nachos | Crisp but tender carne asada chunks with refried beans, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. The tortilla chips didn't hit the mark for me, but it's not a deal breaker."
"It's about time. After driving by this Newport Beach gem dozens (if not hundreds) of times I finally had the opportunity to stop by for lunch. Tidepoole is well known to both the locals and tourists of Newport Beach. Their storefront is front and center on PCH, so it's truly hard to miss. I stopped by today after attending a nearby yoga class and grabbed a bite to-go. Their menu was straight forward, with options like sandwiches, pizzas, light sides, etc. I ordered the Charlie Sammy: sourdough, pesto, artichoke, provolone, tomatoes, and arugula. I also paid extra to add chicken as protein. The meal was delicious and served with a sliced pickle. The restaurant was close to empty, but I bet it stays jam packed during the summer months. Despite the slow season, parking is still tough. You'll find street parking available in the nearby residential neighborhoods. Luckily it's a nice walk, so don't let this small hiccup keep you from visiting!"
"Here's the low down on Happy Hour which runs until 6:30pmEXCELLENT- House Margarita (high quality; only $1 to make it a large- Birria Taco (packed full of flavor; big: amazing value too)- Chicken Wings (honey BBQ; nicely breaded)GREAT- GuacamoleGOOD- Wings (Habanero)- Queso Fundido (with Chorizo)- Quesadilla Parilla (hit or miss depending on day)AVERAGE- Wings (Buffalo)MEH- Beef Taquitos (flavorless stew meat; better get Birria)- Potato Taquitos (flavorless; helped by Tapatio)BONUS- side of corn cake- extra bean cheese dip for the chips"
"Lagos Mexican Cuisine is located in the SOCO district of downtown Fullerton. There is convenient free parking right across the street in the multi-level parking garage. The restaurant can get busy at times and I recommend making a reservation on OpenTable. There were no reservations available on a Saturday night, but we took a chance and went anyway. With no delay, we were seated at a high-top table in the bar area which also hosts one of several regular seating areas. The restaurant has a trendy feel and has a lot of multi-colored lighting and great décor. The restrooms are even well decorated and have an upscale feel. The bar looks nice and there are several TVs which had sports on.It took about ten minutes for a server to initially come to our table, but after that the service was smooth and timely. Chips and salsa are not complementary but we ordered some anyway. The chips were nice and fresh and the salsa had good flavor and some heat that slowly creeps up on you. I enjoyed a jalapeno margarita which had a perfect mix of tequila, mixer, and spice and I always like the Tajin rim. She liked the Sol De Passion cocktail but would have rather had a full drink without the champagne shot on the side. We asked the server if you're supposed to pour it in and he said some people do and some just have it on the side.I had the Yucatan shrimp which was a great dish. There were a lot of shrimp inside and the tomatillo sauce had a light heat to it. The rice was nice and fluffy and I think I tasted a little touch of lime. I usually do not like beans, especially when they contain whole beans. But surprisingly these beans were delicious and I actually ate them all. We eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants and this is only the second place where I actually really enjoyed the beans. She really enjoyed the Al Pastor tacos. The quality and flavor of the food is always most important, but it's nice when the presentation is good also and these were nice looking entrees. This is the second time we have dined here and we will definitely be back again."
"There is a lot on the menu. It's a small place, so ordering online for pickup is easiest because they're always busy."
"Yelp did not disappoint! I ordered the salmon plate and my husband ordered the beef kabob. Both were delicious!! Portions are generous too. The patio music was so fun! I felt like dancing Zumba. :) Will definitely be back to this place!"
"A little pricy but flavor is authentic and service is fast.Taqueria Zamora is located in a strip mall in Santa Ana.The shop is small, with several indoor seating in front and back. You can order at counter or at the seat. They gave us complimentary chips with two salsa.I got the burrito ($12), my coworker got the enchilada ($22), and my other coworker got the tostada ($6).Most dishes come with a choice of meat (chicken, carne asada, birria, pork). My burrito was huge and stuffed with shredded chicken, it was good and flavorful without cheese and sour cream~I tried my coworkers enchilada and it was super authentic with thiccc corn tortilla and green sauce. It also came with side of rice and beans. The tostada was a pretty decent size too~ came with plenty of meat and other toppings.Overall, solid Mexican eatery with good portioned food.Would love to try the other dishes here my next visit."
"Today I stumbled upon this delicious place and was not disappointed! My sons got the California bowl with carne asada it comes with chips and they have a salsa bar. We took our food to go and I always have to have a "tax bite" it was very delicious the flavors melted together so perfectly! My very picky teen came out of his room just to say how amazing the food was! And the chips ooooo sooo good!!The carne asada was of good quality the flavors were great, staff was very patient and friendly while we decided what we wanted to tryHighly recommend!"
"My first time here, just exploring the area and saw this amazing with friendliest people and amazing food!! Nachos is one of a kind , he is very pleasant , friendly , very entertaining and his service was above and beyond!See you again my friends , it's just the beginning. !!Kudos to Nachos , Fernando- XMK General Manager and to the whole team !!"
"Love there surf and turf burrito, so many flavors and great for a hungry meal.I love their Cali burrito too, pro tip...get it with pastor. I will be going back many times soon"
"Definitely the worst Mexican food in Dana Point snd I remembered why I haven't been back since 2022. :(. The fajitas are inedible and so is the presentation. I sent back my food but ate the house salad and guacamole My stomach is aching so much. I should have gone anywhere else for lunch!!"
"Went on a 2nd date, yesterday. I wanted Taco Tuesday and he picked this spot. The taco salad was so yummy! I got the Al Pastor on it. The salsa sauces and the salad dressing... mmmm! I'm a saucy girl so I tried all the salsas. My date got the quesadilla and a beer and the cheese was so yummy! I love it when a man shares his food! That way we can try different things! So I shared mine with him! The outdoor seating was nice and sunny but with shade. Perfect for a 2nd date! Thanks guys! We'll come back!"
"Finally went here to celebrate birthdays and it was so nice inside. Apparently they are strict on the reservation because one of the girls kept making sure I would be able to make it since she had to reserve with her credit card. This place wasn't even busy and there wasn't even live music that my friends were waiting on. They were very disappointed and kept asking the waiters and all they kept saying was it depends on the night and the crowd. The food was good and even got the patron tower. It was super light with the alcohol so I was able to actually drink it, haha. So many photo opps which we definitely used to our advantage. I would definitely recommend this for groups."
"Happy taco Tuesday! This is a great place to have tacos, authentic, Mexican food. A margarita perhaps too. But today taking just taking the food to go. Family asked if I'm going bring tacos home, so this is my location to swing by. I called in the order in advance and the tacos are generously prepared quickly, waiting for me. In my opinion, the shredded beef tacos are delicious. Generous with the sauces and chips. In addition, It's a great price as well. So when I feel like going to an authentic Mexican restaurant, this is one of my top choices, especially on taco Tuesday when I can't beat the price."
"Stopped by at this awesome place after an intense session of pickleball. Perfect spot for an evening beer with some delicious Mexican food. Service was on the mark, and I loved the interiors and vibe with several TVs and sports channels tuned in. I got the Taco flight and a friend got the Tostada salad. Both were very good. Loved the spicy salsa that we had to order on the side. A cool spot !"
