"We're new to the area and found this place based on other Yelp reviews. We decided to order takeout from here for our visiting family, who are all pretty particular about Persian food, and it was a hit. We ordered the family combo for 4 people and were impressed by the generous portion sizes. The koobideh kabob (ground beef) was delicious, the barg kabob (filet) was very tender and juicy, and we all really liked the chicken tender and chicken koobideh as well. The rice portion was extremely large, I felt bad because we wasted so much of it. My only complaint is that the yogurt sides we ordered we were very small, probably meant for 1-2 people, not a family of 8. I wish they would have told me that over the phone so I would've ordered more, or at least offered a larger size for the yogurt sides. Overall their food was delicious and good quality, we will order from here again!"

"Been to TKS at other locations and liked the food. Today I stopped for a quick pick up lunch and just got a single wrap. The San Diego style (with added French fries and feta) sounded intriguing and I splurged. The wrap had the potential for 5-stars but was 4-due to my own error. Namely h did not get extra of the OG Yogurt/ Garlic sauce. The carved chicken was robust flavor, but the French fries increased the volume and diluted the chicken flavor. The yogurt sauce was present across the whole wrap but it was hiding in between tortilla folds and had pockets of concentration and other areas lacking enough sauce. If I had an extra sauce (which I could have gotten from the sauce bar), then I would have added it where needed and it would have been great. The feta cheese added some firm texture and saltiness that paired will with the other ingredients. The romaine lettuce added a crunch and together with the tomatoes added freshness to the wrap. Total volume with the French fries was large, bigger than I expected and I have about 5 bites left when I got full. I predict that a normal wrap would have been just the right amount for a solid lunch."

"Luna Grill was just okay. I ordered a salad and was immediately disappointed when I saw the dressing came in a clear plastic packet. It tasted exactly how it looked--bland and watery, completely ruining the salad. The ingredients were fresh, but without a proper dressing, it just felt uninspired. Service was good and the space was clean with a modern casual vibe but I expected something much better food-wise. It's convenient if you're in a hurry but there are definitely better Mediterranean options."

"Not my first time at a CAVA but my first time to this one. For those that don't know, CAVA is like a Mediterranean Chipotle. You start with a bowl or Pita and then you pick a base like rice or lettuce, a protein like Chicken or Falafel, some topping and sauces like Hummus, Garlic Sauce, Cucumber, corn, etc. They have a lot of things to choose from.Service here is relatively quick since everything is pre-cooked like Chipotle and there isn't much interaction with the staff after you get your food. Utensils are by the side of the Soda/Fountain Drinks and you have to get that yourself. The interior of this place is very nice and modern. They keep the seats and tables relatively clean. However it's really really cold inside. I recommend bringing a jacket. Even though it was 60 outside, it was freezing cold inside.The food itself is good, if you're not into pickled stuff, try to avoid anything with vinegar. As you can tell from my picture, the bowl isn't really full. It's not packed and that's about the only con -- portion size. I wish they would just be more generous with the rice since it's just cheap filler. The parking lot is pretty big and shared with a few other businesses. I didn't have much issue finding a spot since there's so many. Overall, recommend! Would give it a 5/5 if I didn't leave hungry still."

"My first time visiting, I arrived at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday and was the first patron. I was there for dinner specifically as a friend recommend I try this place. The food was fine... average to be honest. Compared to other mediterranean establishments i've dined at, i've had better food. My biggest gripe was the service. NON EXISTENT. After they take your order, then they never check on you. Then they drop your dish and never return or ask if you need anything. I sat there parched needing water most of my visit. They we're not busy by any means so I can't give them the benefit of that. I actually say my original waiter smoking hookah and laughing with friends at another table. I finally flagged down the busser to bring water for the table (which was $3 bottles) and the bill too. This place in my opinion is better served as a lounge or hookah bar, rather than full service restaurant. I will not be returning."

We got here a little before noon and not long after, the line was out the door. So I guess good word of advice is to arrive early! The food was amazing - everybody loved what they ordered. Gyro wrap does have raw onions in it and it was too spicy for one of my co workers, so if you are sensitive to raw onions, would be good to ask for no onions or remove it when you eat it. Anyways, both coworkers who ordered the gyro wraps said they had really good flavor. Chicken shish kabob - coworker said meat was extremely tender and flavorful with the hummus. And my koobideh combo plate - both chicken and beef were tender with amazing flavors. Overall, glad we decided to give this place a try. We will definitely come back to try more items from their menu!"

"I love this healthy fast food restaurant. It is so close to where I swim laps. It is also next to a popular restaurant that I used to go to(Everyday Eatery) who got rid of their vegan options (what shame!) so I didn't go back to that restaurant nor this shopping center. Wow, now Sajj will be my favorite place to go to, here. It is a 'Chipotle' style for Mediterranean food. I know it is a fast food but it is much healthier than most. There are lots of vegan options(marked with a 'V'). A bowl with rice or salad, a wrap, or a pita sandwich is the option for vegans, with Falafels. The price is $11.75 for any of the style. I picked vegan bowl with rice then add eggplant ragout, sumac cauliflower, hummus, cucumbers tomatoes mix, cherry peppers mix, lettuce, and spicy tahini sauce on top. One can add many more from the table that is marked with a 'V' and there are a lot. The rice was tumeric rice. I sprinkled some sumac on top. The lentil soup is included with it. For $11.75 it is a huge deal! I could not finish this bowl as it is a lot of food. There were 4 falafels! These falafels are one of the best I have tried.Unfortunately there is only 1 in SoCal. It is a fast food chain or franchise restaurant and started in Northern California. We need more! Thank you so much for providing so many vegan options. My recommendation is not to go during meal times as it can be crowded. The line never stopped when I was there. It is so popular. The parking can be hard to get too during meal times too. So after 1 pm would be best."

Both plates were good--he said the rice was good, not great. I subbed the rice for salad which I enjoyed. Also subbed the hummus for tzatziki which I'm happy about. It was so good. Make sure to ask for their garlic sauce--tasty! The chicken was juicy and tender; the gyro meat was less exciting but did not lack in flavor. One ask would be to add a combo plate so you can try different proteins, but it worked out for us since we were able to trade. Dolmas were tasty."

I'm sorry the picture isn't super aesthetic, as I started eating before I took the picture. The roasted chickpeas were so delicious - crunchy and somehow slightly chewy at the same time. It feels like cava but more authentic when it comes to the ingredients and spices. The lady serving us was very kind and helpful as well. "This location was my first CAVA experience, and it hit the spot!If you're not familiar with CAVA, it's essentially modern Middle Eastern Chipotle.Their drinks tastes great too, especially their diet cola. Usually diet colas from alternative brands tend to not taste great (Coca Cola is my gold standard), I thought the brand they were using did a really fantastic job of nailing it. I wish they had locations in the Bay Area. I would probably stop eating at Chipotle if they did (not that the cuisine is identical, but literally everything else from style of choosing your food to operations is very comparable)Parking is terrible. In fact had I known there was another location in Irvine I would've just went to that one instead. While the selection and area looked good, the food, hookah and everything was just ok as well. I had ordered the Al Fakher Mint, and a Beef Shawerma which comes with fries as well and a pot of Mint Tea. They also have heaters outside during the cold season. The Hookah was fine but there was a little bit of an after taste from the previous hookah which just means they don't wash inside the stem or change the water but it was still better than some of the other places. The Shawerma was good in flavor but the meat was a little too dry. Now I believe the reason is also because on a Thursday at around 9pm we were the only people sitting there so things may not have been fresh as nothing was being ordered. But at the end of the day everything was just good, so around the industry average mark in my opinion."

Be careful putting it on a warming tray because after a few hours it can overcook the meat and veggies.The second order was their sandwich and wrap platters (both large orders). The sandwiches and wraps are huge and they cut it in half. You can also request certain meats (or no meat for vegans). "Randomly ran into fellow yelper B. N. and his wife who live nearby and they informed me that the address that used to have Kerostena has a new place, Taboon Mediterranean. Apparently Taboon has another location in Long Beach and Los Alamitos. The menu is large with soup, salads, cold appetizers, hot appetizers, wraps, bowls, plates, and dessert. Last Wednesday I had the day off work so figured it was a great time to try it out. They've only been open a few weeks. The employee was extremely friendly and happy to talk about the menu. He let me know they have lunch specials Monday-Friday which pretty much gets you the drink for free. I ordered the "halloumi cheese" wrap with lentil soup. I've never had this cheese before and loved it. It's very dense and doesn't melt. They grill it and wrap it with lettuce, tomato, garlic, and a flavorful sauce. The cheese is semi salty and because of the dense texture it was like eating a chicken wrap. I loved every bite and couldn't believe how good it was. I ordered one to take home for my wife and she loved it. At the end she said "I think they forgot the cheese though, it was just some delicious chicken". Her mind was blown when she found out the entire thing was cheese. The vegan lentil soup was a huge portion and loaded with flavor. It was served with some pita chips which I tossed in for texture. My wife had the fries for her side and it was a HUGE portion. She could only eat half and saved the rest for the next day. Salad was another choice for lunch special.Saturday my wife and I came back to eat there. We both ordered the Kefta kabab plate which is a blend of ground beef and lamb. It's heavy on the lamb flavor so keep that in mind if you don't like lamb. It was served with hummus, house salad, two types of rice, sumac covered red onions, a grilled white onion, grilled tomato, pita bread, garlic sauce, and tahini. HUGE portion. Neither my wife or I could finish which is rare for me. I usually devour everything. Every single thing on our plate was fantastic. Loved the two different types of rice. One was very herbal tasting. Since it was our first time here we ordered way too much food. Besides our gut busting entrees we also shared some of their fried cauliflower and the spinach fatayer which are like empanadas. Both awesome.Please try this place! It's behind Shakey's next door to the bagel place that's currently being repairs from the fire. We need good restaurants around here since so many closed during COVID. This is the perfect place for the plaza and I can't wait to try more items!"

I'll for sure be back again when I visit my hometown.~ FLAVOR TOWN ~This spot deserves 5 stars for several reasons. One of them is that the dishes are super FLAVORFUL and the SERVINGS are HUGE. I got the FALAFEL SANDWICH and every bite was just spot on. I also snuck in a few bites of the fresh SAJ BREAD and dipped it in HUMMUS from my husband's plate. You can tell that everything was made fresh. They really got the balance of flavors right with every single dish.~ FRIENDLY STAFF ~I'm a little surprised to see some of the negative reviews here. We experienced nothing but friendly and accepting vibes from the staff. We had a chance to mingle with one of the owners and he even hooked us up with some fresh not-so-MINI ZAIT. For the first course,we got a huge plate of fresh green salad topped with crispy pita strips, fried potato cubes with delicious seasoning, hummus, babaganoush, lebnah with olive oil, and pita bread.As for the second course, we got a large plate with basmati rice, mixed kabob, grilled vegetables. The plate was humongous. The meat was well seasoned, juicy and very fresh.It was really authentic Middle Eastern dinner.We ordered mango juice. It was very refreshing.The service was fast. The event was well organized and fun.We will be back soon to try more of their delicious dishes and their excellent service."

"My all time favorite Greek food in OC...it's been a while since we have been here but we got a night with our kids and decided to come here out of many other places bc we missed the food and the atmosphere...Our sever Alex and the owner along with other staff are always on top of things on taking orders, bringing out food and checking on us and cleaning the table...We tried their scallops dish tonight and also the lamb rack is always my favorite...I love sitting at the patio...it's transformed me to somewhere far with their live music and the cute decoration."
