"Went there Sunday night 7pm for their AYCE Iftar Buffet (Breaking of the Fast for Ramadan). The place was festive. The selections were amazing. Soups, dips, veggies, stews, meats, rice, fruit, desserts/pastries.There was a raspberry juice welcome drink that tasted like rosewater. It was so good, I must've had like 3 glasses. They also gave out these luscious dates to snack on before the main meal.We got to enjoy:- lentil soup - Excellent- Spinach type of watery soup (meh)- This cabbage slaw that was in a light vinegar with blonde raisins and oranges, it was SO GOOD- So many pastas- So many dips: besides hummus, there was babaganoush, something with crushed walnuts, etc.- Salads- Pickles of all kinds- There was the main dish: Roasted lamb over rice, so very good!- There was this beef roll wrapped in pastry dough, the filling was so delish, savory, a touch of cinnamon, sweetness, etc. it has it all!- So many things I cannot nameI think the mint red tea is extra, but it was such a nice way to end a great meal!Parking is kind of tight but there is a very capable parking attending helping and guiding everyone. After 8:30pm, they start to bring out all the hookahs so it can get really smoky. But still thinking about all the great food from last night! OMG so good!Very festive, party like atmosphere. All the staff were so hospitable, and efficient, they get you all that you need!"
"Love this place! Amazing food service and hookah. It typically can get busy by 7pm all days of the week. All seating is outdoors. Daniel was a great server and helpful with recommendations. We tried the Persian pizza that had beef, hot dog(non-pork) chicken bell pepper and mushrooms as toppings. The mint lemonade drink was super refreshing and a great pairing with our meal.Food came out really quick. Love the baklava and tea! Will definitely make this a regular spot. Highly recommend"

"Nice place, the outdoor area and bathroom are aesthetically pleasing. The service was good and I enjoyed sitting by their fire pits under heat lamps as well. I stayed warm throughout my hookah session with my best friend. The down side is they have these paper thin cushions to sit on their marble seating and after thirty minutes, it becomes uncomfortable to sit there. We wound up gathering a few cushions of stack on top of each other just to relieve the pain. I hope they buy new cushions for their outdoor patio. The hookah flavor was picked by the worker because we couldn't make up our mind and it was good. I will probably return again if I'm in the area."
"Solid to-go spot with pretty large portions for each plate! The menu is pretty straightforward with plates, pitas, bowls, and some sides. Pricing feels fair for the quality of food! ($15-20+)The Trio Kebab Plate had ground beef, ribeye, and chicken - all of which were pretty good and flavorful. This would be great to share with another person to try a variety without having to order them separately. I also got the Steak Shawarma Plate which had good flavor, but unfortunately, it was quite dry. Luckily, they did provide some sauces which helped with the dryness, along with the rice and hummus. The side salad that comes with the plates is really tasty with the variety and dressing! I could eat more of that alone.Overall, the service was quick and friendly, and the food pretty tasty. They have a small patio to sit on if you wish to eat there, otherwise it's very to-go friendly. Looks like they also share the kitchen with their other restaurant, BEI."

Little Arabia beckons especially since they now have their very own Freeway off ramp proclaiming that approximately 2 miles of Brookhurst has formally become, well, Little Arabia, shukran. Parking at this place is an interesting enterprise. Wedge the whip in anywhere and anyway you can. I wandered inside. "Are you here for a Hookah?" "No, thanks, I'm seeing somebody. I'm just here for the food". The small dining room in front was empty and quiet while the huge back room was hoppin' and happenin'. It might've been an old bowling alley way back when Little Arabia was little to bother with, A thick layer of smoke hovered at chest level and covered the cavernous room. Hookah is a social thing and kinda like a Middle Eastern riff on a Japanese Tea Ceremony...kinda. Okay Hookah is nto as ritualized as that but the same concept is in play. Both have more meaning. They are more than just slurping tea or inhaling flavored smoke. The front dining room had a sticky floor, a sticky table top, and a stick chair as if they'd all been brushed with fresh Gorilla Glue. But the adjoining kitchen was spotless and glistening. I'm an adventurer and it didn't seem to bother the regulars in the back vast getting Hookah'd. The Staff: Mostly all serving the peeps on the pipes except one very sweet lady who appeared at my table with a smile. She offered to help bring up the lengthy menu on a QR Cube. That was nice as I usually have to call in Tech Support to assist me in plugging in a Toaster Oven. The Menu is seemingly endless. If some Country in the Middle East makes something unique, a version of it will show up here. The rumor has it that some of the dishes are made off site by a gaggle of accomplished Aljadas (Grandmas) who have, no doubt, made a few specific dishes for decades. Hoo-cares? If it's good, it's good. The specials are reserved for weekends any way. I asked for the Arabic Salad which showed up shortly. It was a mound of fresh and perfectly diced Persian Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Red Onions, Mint, Olive Oil, Lemon Juice and a shake of Oregano. The Salad was simple yet elegant. Tart, with a balanced ratio of dressing to Salad. Everything about it was just right. I thoroughly enjoyed my lovely little Salad and then hailed my pleasant server and asked her to warm a schwarma. The Beef was marinated and pan seared instead of being a packed stack of flaps the size of a Frisbee rotating slowly on a vertical Gyro Grill. The meat was tasty enough despite the little knobs being a tad toothsome. It took a bit of getting used to which I managed quick enough because it was tasty. Plus the portion was so large half of it went home with me and made up almost three additional meals. My Schwarma Plate came with warm store bought Pita that was so thin, I had to perform micro surgery on it to pry the Pita apart and wide enough to stuff stuff in them. Beef, Garlic Sauce, Hummus, Shatta (Hot Sauce), and the most wonderful little Pickle slices all got pushed into the Pita's gaping maw. Are you with me? All set? Now pick a corner and dig in. No matter how well or carefully you packed your Pita something will break lose, slide out and land in your lap after bouncing off your shirt. But, this beast was most enjoyable. The Charred Beef lay atop a platter of fluffy Saffron/Turmeric Rice and next to a simple Green Salad which paled compared to the fine Arabic Salad. A pile of napkins suddenly appeared courtesy of my kind and considerate server. I suppose she believed as I do, that if you don't get it all over you, you're doing it wrong. Even though the "Specials" don't hit the menu until the weekend, the regular menu is auspicious any day of the week. Dive in. A little trip to Little Arabia will have you happy and satisfied by meal's end here at El Mahroosa.

Wow. I was truly blown away by my experience and am so very glad I have the memories I've created here. Even though we arrived at pretty late hours of the night, it was decently packed. There was still much parking available and we were seated immediately. The hospitality here was amazing, as expected. The server was very attentive and kind to us. I also had a guest with me who was very particular about knafeh and he said the knafeh here is really good! The live musical performance was absolutely spectacular. It was so calming, alluring, and impressive all at once. I would say it was definitely the highlight of my experience. I will definitely be returning again in the future, and bringing more loved ones with me!

I always drive by this place and decided to try it for dinner tonight! I was so excited to try it! The prices are a little expensive especially for what I ordered a chicken plate.I picked up my order and the service was fast and friendly! The food on the other hand was just okay. The chicken was very delicious but my pita tasted old and my hummus had an extremely sour taste. The rice and salad were just okay. Decent place but the price doesn't match the food.

Me and my wife had a very great experience at this location. The music was playing, the ambiance was peaceful, the hookah was smooth, and the was very delicious. The employees were very chill and checked on us to make sure everything was good. When you get a chance to come here make sure to try out the refresh drinks. Real fruit inside of them and they are as the name says. Refreshing

Tustin's Barcode Lounge!Made fresh to order Mediterranean food with an upbeat indoor outdoor ambiance. Recommend trying the combo plate with both chicken kabob and beef koobideh. Been a customer for this location for several years, it has always been consistent. The barcode pizza is also a hit. The outdoor patio also has several tv's that are used for providing visual entertainment. This location is also known for being a great hookah lounge. All in all, a great option for tasty food accompanied with a relaxing but also upbeat lounge hangout ~

I'm currently visiting in the IE where there are no chill hookah spots like this that also offer food! You come for the hookah, stay for the vibes&food. I had a beef Kafta plate (pictured here) only $9.99 that came with kafta, pita, humus, pickles, and onions. Im tellin y'all, I CLEANED my plate UP! The prices for me were decent for a hookah lounge in CA. I live in Phx where it's a little less, however, nowhere I've been has this great of food included with the hookah lounge. They have everything you need to have a chill night solo or even a group of friends. The service was the best service I've ever had at a hookah spot. The staff is super friendly and accommodating! I got a tea&baklava after to stay warm. It gets kinda chilly so take a sweater with you. They have heaters but it's spread out to all the tables in the area. OH I ALMOST FORGOT, the banana pudding! That's right, BANANA PUDDING! I was so dang good when I tried it once I got home. I highly recommend this spot 1million/10

"Medmix is a place where you can get some Hookah, Mediterranean food and drinks all at once. They have a good sized outside seating area and a good variety of items to select for. While the selection and area looked good, the food, hookah and everything was just ok as well. I had ordered the Al Fakher Mint, and a Beef Shawerma which comes with fries as well and a pot of Mint Tea. They also have heaters outside during the cold season. The Hookah was fine but there was a little bit of an after taste from the previous hookah which just means they don't wash inside the stem or change the water but it was still better than some of the other places. The Shawerma was good in flavor but the meat was a little too dry. Now I believe the reason is also because on a Thursday at around 9pm we were the only people sitting there so things may not have been fresh as nothing was being ordered. But at the end of the day everything was just good, so around the industry average mark in my opinion."
"So far everything that I've eaten here has been amazing! It was so good that I came back within one week again for the exact same foods.Koobideh wrap was wonderful and filling. I was even able to save my second Koobideh wrap for the next day. Delicious white sauce for my Koobideh wrap. Good amount of salad with delicious house dressing. My large basket of Sweet potato fries were nice and crispy. Chicken Shawarma was thoroughly marinated and juicy. The chicken Shawarma skewer plate came with a large amount of rice and salad. Lots of chicken on that one skewer.Excellent vegetarian (likely vegan ) grape leaves. The great leaves were not soggy and were not tough. Not too sour.On top of the yummy food, the waitress was friendly."
"Excellent middle eastern food. Love the spices. I tried their "keftah" sandwich and loved it so I went back! I'm going to try other things too. Very clean and nice ambiance and friendly service."
