"I hate leaving bad reviews for small businesses but the positive reviews here really didn't match my experience. it's a cool little place, nice people, beers on tap, good salsa bar - but as someone who has grabbed a fish taco at Great Mex, Hole Mole or Que Vida (on 17th) I can't imagine who would prefer this.maybe there are better menu items than the ones I tried because people seem to like it. I don't recommend the Baja fish or shrimp tacos or the "lobster" taco. I hope your experience will be better."

Trina D. "London Chippy has been on my radar since my husband mentioned that he missed having proper fish & chips. His dad grew up in Yorkshire so he spent a good amount of time in the UK. Fish & chips is a common menu item in the UK. I had run a search and I knew of a few possible contenders but London Chippy was at the top of the list. As you may or may not already know, London Chippy is located at the food hall called TRADE in Irvine. Parking can be hard to find during lunch but we went during dinner and it wasn't bad. We went over there with our dog since the food hall is semi-outdoors. The patio is dog-friendly. We ordered the Fish N Chips ($15) and asked for a cup of water. The fish is fried fresh to order. You get two big pieces of battered cod. The batter is light and crispy, not soggy. The chips are proper steak fries with a good amount of crisp too. They have Heinz malt vinegar at the counter as well as ketchup. We went to town. My husband was very pleased. He would give London Chippy 10 stars if he could."

I've been to CFK before, but it has been a long time. This is a neighborhood place on 17th in CM, not too far from where my regular crew and I golf.One of the guys in the group paid, and we all had the combo with a salad, salmon/rice/veggies and a drink. To begin, the salad was good sized, and had a lot of fresh veggies. CFK is a casual place, so you can choose your dressing and condiments and the self service bar. The salmon was fresh, nicely cooked and moist. I wish I could cook fish like this at home. I paired the fish with a slightly spicy, black salsa that went well with the salmon.Regarding the ambiance, you order at the counter and your food is brought out to you. The service was friendly, albeit a tad slow based upon not too many customers being present.One of the guys in our golf group lives in CM, and he is introducing the rest of us to his go to places. He hasn't steered us wrong yet.

The food is amazing! Personally myFavorite is the grilled mackerel set! The fish is marinated and grilled to perfection. The server was very attentive and welcoming as well which made the food taste even better!He also makes the desserts too! I had this dessert set where I can have a taste of little bits of all the desserts they have and that suggestion was perfect!The food, service, price and the atmosphere is wonderful!Will definitely come back!

I've been here many times. London Chippy is on the far right side of the Trade Market Place next to the Thai restaurant. They also own the bar on that right side too. I love the Fish N Chips and Shrimp N Chips here. You can also get a combo with both of them. The portions are generous and enough for lunch or dinner. They make it after you order, so there's a bit of a wait like 10 mins, but the food comes out super hot and crispy and it's so good! They also have tartar sauce, cocktail sauce (for the shrimp), malt vinegar, ketchup and Tabasco hot sauce. You can eat it there at the food hall or to-go it. There's plenty of parking and tables. I love the atmosphere how it's sorta indoor-outdoor feel. Very open air and nice. Service is always good every time I come. Omar is really great. He took my order and was super nice and friendly, and made sure I had all my condiments. Thank you!

I like to go to restos that I have tried before, so when my friend asked me where I wanted to I said I wanted to try this. We ordered the shrimp California Sushi! It was a California roll with crispy shrimp on top. It was so good, I would eat just that for dinner. Then I ordered the sea bass. It was so-so Lacked some flavor. I was given 2 different sauces , but not really appealed to me. My friend however order the crispy shrimp with rice and it was so good. My other friend ordered the ciopino with lobster , and it looked good .I will come back and try the fish and chips

Although inexpensive, this is the best Fish and Chips place around.They don't use battered or coated fries like every other restaurant. Fish is awesome and you would think all these restaurants that are more expensive would do it better. But they don'tSides are great too. First of walking in the people working are so sweet and welcoming! The woman working the front helped us and answered any questions we had! They brought our food to us and even brought us over some green sauce and red sauce! The food was exceptional! My tilapia grilled plate was everything! The fish was cooked perfectly! For sides I got the zucchini and white rice! I also got to try my mom's battered fish taco and that was crispy and delicious! We enjoyed having a late lunch at California Fish Grill! We can't wait to go back!

Perfectly spicy with a delicious green sauce. You get to pick the rice type, or greens if you prefer. I love that they offer Stubborn soda here. It's probably the best quality soda out there that actually tastes good. I already knew I wanted their fish & chips, but I also wanted to try the calamari. Luckily they have a combo order that lets you have both! The rosemary-zucchini was ok, and even though I love both, I guess I don't really care for the two together. My man was surprised that they had Catfish, so he had to get it. He ordered the corn & brussel sprouts as sides and they were both phenomenal! I really wanted to try the new sweet potato fries, but they weren't available. Hope to get them next time though!"
