The mint was a refreshing touch but wanted it to meld with the other flavors (maybe a quick torch to the mint and cobbler crumble topping might do the trick?). "Ok In n Out. Nothing I mean NOTHING beats In n out for the amount of yums per dollar.For less than 10 bucks I get the freshest most filling burger and fries (yeah its not the best) but when its fresh its still tasty with some spread and ketchup.My go to order is: double double mustard fried with grilled onions and a whole raw onion with extra lettuce with light well fries.The service is friendly and quick despite the onslaught of students. The ambiance can be loud and hectic but it makes it fun in my opinion.This location is one of my favorites out of the 10 in n outs I been throughout California and if you haven't tried in n out. You are missing out on a cheap quick reliable and tasty meal."

Only if they had the chili peppers...the fries are crispy and on the thicker side, a mile better than In N Out. You have to order the scoop of chili on the side and the dip the fries. Ranch dressing is delicious too!The space is clean and the service is quick and friendly. Even the bathroom was nice and clean! Drive through is convenient and well managed. I prefer to dine there and eat it fresh! But the chili doesn't travel well so try to dine in if you order that."

Show me the MOOYAH!Speaking of which, we tried the Mooyah, which is their cheeseburger with fresh baked potato bun and their Best Quesonario, a spicy jalapeño burger, and added pepper jack cheese for an extra fee since this burger did not come with cheese. I don't eat spicy, but I actually preferred the Best Quesonario over the MOOYAH burger. The MOOYAH burger had way too much sauce. I did like that the 1/4 lb patties came straight off the grill and were very juicy and high quality. Their personal size fries were really big! Surprisingly, I liked the French fries even though they didn't look that appealing lol. The fries still have their skins, and are thicker cut. I preferred the SWEET POTATO FRIES. In N Out is still my favorite, but this place is a slightly more loaded version. I look forward to trying their ice cream shakes, which come in 8 flavors! Yum. Happy eating!"

"The Hangout HB is bigger than the one inSeal Beach but it's not quite as good. Some dishes are equal---sliders and sides, but mostly the flavor is gone on others. We ate burgers last night (a hangout favorite) and it tasted like three day old meatloaf. It had so many fillers it didn't even taste like beef. Last time we came it was for their signature omlets....Breakfast left us with that "Denny's" taste in our mouth. And it cost waaay too much. Still healthy portions but I think we are over being overstuffed restaurants. Get back to real food quality, especially with the new Inflated prices.I've been eating at this location in HB for about seven months. Maybe it's the trend of prices and cut-backs but going for dinner isn't worth the high price now. $65+ no appetizers and two beers. For meatloaf tasting burgers? I'd rather eat at In-and-Out. Sorry Hangout, still love your ibe, service, appetizers and beer but meals are just too iffy to pay that much."

I ordered applesauce as my side. The omelette was outstanding. It was massive, and packed with meat. In addition, the applesauce was nice & smooth vs the crap we get at the store.Regarding the ambiance, its small & quaint with some counter seats and a few tables. I came on a weekday around 1 pm, and it was busy. We were lucky to get a table for 3. This place must be packed in the morning and on weekends. The service was friendly & warm, just what you would expect from a family owned place that has been open nearly 50 years.If I lived in NB, I would definitely be a regular here. I will solely have to settle for the Galley being on our rotation after golf."

The sizing of the restaurant was a bit smaller but they're able to take in larger parties by combining the tables they had.We got the new york with herb butter and the strawberry sourdough pancakes. I wasn't expecting much with the steak since it used to the regular steak and eggs from usual diner spots. I was pleasantly greeted with how well the steak was cooked. Perfectly medium rare and with the generous serving of herb butter it was very flavorful!My partner said that the pancakes were delicious and would already like to come back to try their other dishes."

Build your own bowl - thai curry, white rice, veggies (great flavors). Tuscan chicken sandwich (with pesto & sweet potato fries), Chimichurrio tritip plate with mac & cheese, brussels sprouts (delish!). They recommended to try the empanadas which was also good. Tons of healthy side dish options. All are made very well & flavorful. Beer, wine, cocktails. We really enjoyed our meal here."
