"I had the pleasure of visiting Brussels Bistro the other week, and it immediately became one of my favorite spots in the area.The restaurant is extremely charming, and the tables are smartly spaced so that you can comfortably hold a conversation, even during the more crowded hours.The staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful; our party was in a snacky mood, so we pretty much ordered our appetizers one at a time. Despite our challenging ordering schedule, our food was always delivered promptly and warm.Now, onto the food. Brussels Bistro offers a rich set menu plus a rotating menu of specials that is displayed on chalkboards. Most everything we tried was delicious, but the standout item for me were the mussles and fries; we ordered a pound of the green curry mussles, and they make for the perfect starter to share. I would like to mention that the portions for most entrees are quite small with the notable exception of the pasta dishes, so if you're feeling particularly hungry, get some pasta! I tried their carbonara and it was a delight.Be sure to save some room for desserts! There are plenty of traditional desserts and also drinks to choose from. While the belgian waffles seem simple at first, these have a tastefully crispy crust and a soft, almost undercooked middle. Every bite was a treat, and it made for the perfect end to an incredible meal.I cannot gush enough about Brussels Bistro, and I look forward to my next visit."

As some other reviews mention, it's definitely possible to park at the nearby Tustin Legacy-- but it is a decent walk away. Other than the parking situation, it's great. Lots of (healthy) food options and the coffee is great. 90-minute limit on the wifi, which is kind of a bummer. But as a study location, it's nice. Just not as convenient as Wall Writers, for example."

"Olive Gardens was replaced by 3 roots. They were extremely short staffed. The bathrooms were hideous. I waited for over two hours to see if anyone will clean it up and they left it as is. I thought they just opened but I was told that they have been in business for over 2 years. There are wires hanging everywhere and the chairs look warn and some chairs were ripped. The portions were very small for the price. Everything was very very salty. I drank a lot of water to kill the saltiness. I was told that they have dancing after 8:30 pm. They didn't have enough servers and people were waiting for their food. I heard a lot of I'm sorry for the wait and some people who wanted to pay had no one to give money to. Please clean the bathrooms, hire more people to cook and serve. Service wasn't horrible but if it's like this for much longer they will have a difficult time keeping customers."

Got the half and half pizza with Aloo Chaat and curry chicken masala - both were flavorful but I preferred the curry chicken one as the Aloo one tasted a bit too peppery. The pizza dough was a little dense - would have preferred it to be more airy, but it might be tough to hold up all the topping they put on.We also tried the tandoori wings which were nicely marinated and a little crunchy on the outside."

Hopefully, the chef can get some more practice and improve. What i'm saying is, lower your expectations."

"Wanted shabu for dinner on a cold night. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place. It's located close to the camp in Costa Mesa in a small shopping center. Most of the businesses in the shopping center were closed at this time so we almost missed it at first. It was very busy on a Saturday night. We joined the Yelp waitlist from home and still had to wait after we arrived and even for a while after our expected seating window. I would recommend getting on Yelp waitlist as soon as possible during busy hours or checking the wait in advance.Once seated everything else was very quick. Orders were started immediately. I believe the manager or owner was assisting us, but I am not sure (I didn't catch his name). He was super friendly and took the time to explain things and made recommendations. It seemed like he knew many of the customers and took the time to greet and speak with many people eating. I really appreciated that he took the time to greet so many people and also explain things to us. We both got 1/2 spicy miso and 1/2 tonkotsu broth with our proteins of choice. The broth was flavorful and had a little kick, but was not overly spicy - I would order it the same way again. The dipping sauces were both delicious. I was so hungry I forgot to take pics! Overall, it was perfect for what we were craving and we enjoyed our experience. Looking forward to returning in the future!"
