Haiku: Boudin SFRich in traditionFreshly baked sourdough bread Still use Mother Dough.---I've only bought their freshly baked sourdough dough bread loaves & it's heavenly. Its fluffy and soft interior, with a perfectly-colored crusty exterior, is music to my ears (& belly). Thanks to their rich tradition of still incorporating the Mother Dough, Boudin has mastered the baking technique with the perfect tangy sourdough taste. I'm a loyal and forever customer. They also sell fun shaped-breads throughout the year. You can buy baby turtles and turkey & trees during the holidays. Just note, the large holiday breads like the turkey or feast pull-apart-rolls are pre-order only. Tip: Order online for convenient pick-up in store. Next time I'll have to try their food.

Came here for their seasonal crab menu. The place is clean and well-maintained. The staff is not the most efficient but it seems like they are understaffed and doing the best they can. If you sign up for their rewards program, you get a free sourdough loaf monthly with a dollar purchase.I ordered their pick a pair deal and got their dungeness crab mac and cheese and open faced crab melt. Dungeness crab mac and cheese- It comes with a creamy sauce. They give a generous amount of crab and it works well with the mildness of the cheese sauce. The macaroni is nice and tender and the dish is finished with parsley.Open-faced crab melt- Served on a crispy soardough toast. They give you a good portion of the crab salad so there's plenty to go with every bite. The dressing has a nice sweetness to it. Finished with melted cheese that tied the flavors together.Great meal overall!

Great salads, and great sandwiches. Their "pick two" lunch special allows you to try a number of their great options in half portions, including their soups, the burger, the patty melts, the delicious BLT, and their garden and caesar salads. The service here is good, and they also have a kiosk you can walk up to and order when it's busy. If I had a complaint, the interior ambiance of the restaurant is hurt by all the dirty tables, the dishes left around, and the very dirty floor. Having employees clean up on a regular schedule would definitely help at this location.

I hadn't been here in a few years and I used to like the clam chowder. However, the clam chowder definitely tasted different and wasn't as good as I remember. Nevertheless, it was easy to order on the kiosk and my to go order of the clam chowder bread bowl was ready fast.

Boudin SF is one of those cafe joints that is good for a cup of joe and or some good soupIt's located in south coast plaza so it's in a huge shopping center ! Service is always helpful and friendly! Ambiance is kind of like a Panera type style but better ! Overall check them out !

I like coming here because their sourdough bread bowl and clam chowder are delicious. This time I opted for a pick 2 (half turkey avocado sandwich and half clam chowder). Perfect pairing for a semi cold rainy day. There was a long line so I used the kiosk option. Done with my order within minutes and my food arrived within 10 min. Good service overall. One less star for dirty tables and dirty spoons. However staff is friendly and got me as new spoon and cleaned the tables. Will be back again soon!

This was my first time here. Allthese years i've never tried boudin. I enjoyed the pizza the muffin was a little hard but still good my husband ordered the broccoli and cheddar bowl which was delicious. service was not so good the young girl was def not happy to be there she needs to provide better customer service, she really lacked in this area. i think i would of have 5/5 but really thinking of lowering due to customer service, this is huge in my opinion. ambiance is cute i enjoy all the bread sculpted animals. Maybe i'll be back.

My sister ordered Boudin for me and my siblings through the kiosk- later came out in about 10-15 minutes, which was relatively quick for 3 sandwiches and a clam chowder. I ordered the Tuna Salad Sandwich, which was pretty tasty and had a very nice tuna flavor. I don't like tomatoes but to my surprise, the tomatoes were very sweet and actually complimented the sandwich very well. The only downside to our order was that it was missing our chips with the sandwiches- which is why I rated this place a 4 stars. Other than that minor blip, the food was enjoyable!
