Borracho Tacos

Had Borracho Tacos catered for my wedding & months later our guests are still saying how amazing the tacos were! They were very professional and quick with set up and tear down. The most friendly staff.!! my only wedding regret was not putting more Tacos aside for me to eat later!!

We hired Borracho Tacos for our after-wedding late night snack at a hotel in Orange County. They had the most reasonable rates from the vendors I reached out to and also had a cash discount. The tacos from what I recall were pretty good, the bacon wrapped hot dogs were just okay (smelled amazing), and the Agua Fresca was fantastic. My issue with the service was that they were extremely slow. They were supposed to start serving tacos by 10:30pm. The first plate was not served until 11pm. My guests were standing in the rain waiting for 45 minutes for tacos....I felt so bad!! They also didn't come with lights for under their tent so the cook had to use his phone to see what they were doing. I recall I had a conversation with Tonya specifically to bring lights bc I wasn't sure what the parking lot would be like. The other downside was that Tonya wasn't super responsive. I was a little concerned this vendor would be a no show but I'm glad they did show up. It turns out she was receiving messages but just not acknowledging them, so to me it was a little worrying. The last negative was we did have to provide our own plates and disposables. Overall, I'm happy that we had tacos and that they were satisfying for drunken wedding guests, but I'm unhappy with the service speed, preparedness, and communication up front. I don't recommend going with the bacon wrapped hotdogs - it sounds fantastic but they were just okay and they were also a bottleneck to the process. I do recognize that it was pouring rain, so that must have played some factor.

This is the 2nd time I've worked with Borracho Tacos. The first time was in 2017. A repeat customer is a best sign of a good business. The food was excellent. They had the full spread and my guests raved about the food. My reason for picking Borracho tacos over others is they have the option of adding-on hand made tortillas which really put the special touch on catering. I've had 2 event staff at 2 different events both were kind and helpful and made sure everyone had a good experience. I would highly recommend Borracho tacos to anyone looking for a taco cart for their next event. Excited that they've survived the pandemic and I hope they continue to thrive.

We had the Best Experience with Borrachos Tacos for our Special Event. We all were very happy with the Delicious Tacos, Rice, Beans, Salsas, and Aguas. I'm so happy to have found Borrachos Tacos. Excellent service and quality! Delicious food and friendly people. This was a great way to celebrate my birthday - it did not disappoint and there was so much food for the cost!

Since we enjoyed them for my husband's 30th, I decided to book them for my baby shower yesterday. They were a BIG hit at my shower. Everyone enjoyed the tacos, the beans, the rice, the salsa & the horchata. I highly recommend them for any party :)

Nice catering servicePrep time to ready to serve was a little late. Truth no real complaint I'd rather have my food well cooked or warm not cold Nice small set up for 60 or so people. The catering associate was very well organized; grill set up, tortilla press rolled ready tortillas to be cooked on the grill then plated and meat was great 3 different kinds. Birria, chicken and beef. Table and chairs with tent cover. Catering associate was very nice and attentive

So how I know these are awesome tacos was because I could not stop thinking about them.We had a taco bar yesterday for an employee that was retiring. Borrachos came out with Asada, chicken, fish and pastor. Fresh salsa made on site and infused water.Amazing flavor they were on time and had a great presentation and service. These award winning tacos are a must for your next event. So today I woke up and went to the gym still thinking about these tacos then I decided to write this review.

I had them for a birthday party 60 people for 670 + deposit 50 came at 5pm, served from 6-8pm. Everyone said the tacos were okay. Al pastor was good. Had to pay extra for the carnitas $25, but sadly most my family said they were a bit too dry. Asada was okay, it lacked a lot of flavor. Personally, I understood what my family said because I love juicy carnitas and also some flavorful carne asada. My family also said the horchata and watermelon weren't fresh, we thought they were gonna be freshly made but it's the powdered kind. Lastly ran out of Cilantro and onion for the tacos, The beans they used were unfortunately Red beans/ Kidney beans. Good things were rice, salsaAlso tip they don't provide utilities, plates, napkins, or cups. I am aware other taquerios don't do but they didn't give us a heads up when we put the deposit down. There Prices are reasonable, it was just disappointing they lacked on providing the good flavorful tacos, our choice beans, & actual fresh agua fresca.

I wish I can give 6 or more stars to the cook my company event had today but there's only 5 :( Anyhow, the food was amazing!! Let me tell you they got there not even early but had everything ready to go before we had our lunch! Amazing job great service explosive food definitely would recommend!
