Bloom Restaurant + Bar

10/10 experience here!! Let's start with the ambiance! This is the cutest coziest restaurant! The open window concept just really amps everything up. I have no words! The bar area was a good size as well. The food...OMG. I had the crispy chicken sandwich. The chicken was soooo juicy and had the perfect crisp on the outside! I have a lot of chicken sandwiches and they never are truly crispy. My sister had the jidori half chicken and she let me have a bite and WOW same so juicy and flavorful. The cooked kale was delicious and flavorful! I will be coming back to get that plate! Make sure you come hungry because the portions are huge! I really enjoyed my drink. I had the chefs specialty drink. I want to try their espresso martini next! Everyone working there was so friendly and very attentive! I highly suggest making a reservation as it gets busy.

We had a great meal here. Celebrated a birthday with friends and everyone enjoyed the service and ambiance. Our server Hilary was really fun and knowledgeable. She gave great food and drink recommendations and took good care of our party of 6. Looking forward to our next visit to Bloom.

The Mexicali Burger was packed with flavor and had a nice kick of spice, pairing well with the perfectly cooked fries. The American Burger had good flavor but was a bit on the dry side--some extra dressing would have made it even better. The fries, however, were solid. The lemon drop martini was strong and well-balanced, just the way I like it.The ambiance was great, with good tunes setting the vibe. Service was also a highlight--our waiter was attentive and made sure our drinks were always topped off. Overall, a good experience with room for slight improvements!

So happy to have stumbled across this restaurant as I came in here specifically for the pate. Seems like not very many restaurants in the local area offer a liver pate anymore unless as an accoutrement for a steakhouse or so. Service was extremely prompt and friendly, I have no complaints with the staff whatsoever. The establishment is clean and relatively dimly lit, great for a date or semi-casual meal w/ friends and family. The pate itself is great! Enough for one person to snack on & certainly enough bread to share. It does have a hint of sweetness- tbh seems unnecessary b/c there's already the sweetness of the apricot preserves on the side (which is delicious btw) Barely touched the mustards b/c it didn't match as a pairing for the rest of the dish imo, but the cornichon (pickles) are nice for chasing down a nice bite of pate. Overall a solid 3.7/5, I would recommend the pate! Definitely fulfilled my craving of needing a good livery snack so I am happy with that :)

What a perfect spot to have Sunday brunch and catch up with great friends! That's exactly what we did! Made a reservation for 4 via Open Table. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. Love the open and airy interior of this resto, which is located across from the beautiful Mission SJC.Ordered their Pork Belly Benedict, which was bursting with umami! Kudos for the perfectly poached egg with the yolk flowing like lava when you cut into it...LOL! My husband ordered their Country Fried Hanger Steak, which he enjoyed just as much! I had a bite of it, so delicious! Will definitely order that next time! Great service (thanks Ash), great meal, with great friends!Cheers and happy eating till next time...

Prime location in downtown across from the Mission and two blocks from the 'new' River Street. Great ambiance! For lunch I had the BLT and it was very good. The smoked bacon was very flavorful and I very much liked the multigrain bread. It came with a heaping portion of herb french fries. I ordered an orange juice to start. I assumed from the setting that the OJ would be fresh squeezed, but it sure didn't taste like it. Should have asked first. They've got a number of breakfast and lunch things on the brunch menu. Get a reservation ahead of time so you don't have to wait for a table.

Bloom is a great for lunch. Especially if you attended church, that is across the street. I recommend the Meatloaf. It is juicy and flavorful. My son loved the waffles. Especially the Créme fraiche. I don't do sweets myself. I tasted it, and it was delicious. The salmon was good, but not great. A little over cooked. The salad that came with it was good. The beers are over priced. A can of beer is 10.50. Nothing on draft. The ambience is nice and casual. You get a nice street view from the windows. Good for people watchers. The service is on point. Very kind, and smiling staff. I will come back again, hopefully for dinner time.

We finally csme back here for dinner and had a nice quiet table near the bathrooms lol. I ordered the sea bass ceviche and it was weird so I sent to back I knowwww like why can't it be perfect? The waiter is buffed and hot so I'm not complaining about him!!

BLOOM IS THE BEST SPOT IN SOUTH OC. Or at least it's up there. If there was a Mount Rushmore for spots down here, their name would be on it. All the food was incredible. The service was unreal. They have such a cute setting inside. I couldn't be happier with our experience. Cheers.

Came a few weeks ago for a girlfriend's birthday and Bloom was the PERFECT spot for the celebration. The restaurant overlooks the old mission, and on that beautiful Saturday all the windows were open to let in the fresh summer breeze. Our server and other Bloom staff went above and beyond to make our experience special. They were very careful and patient with accommodating dietary needs. They made great recommendations for the menu. They even brought out these mysterious pretty purple drinks to celebrate the birthday! Food was incredible. Every dish was flavorful and indulgent without feeling overly rich. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Fried items (we ordered chicken & the prime hanger steak) were super crispy and not greasy. We cleaned off every bit of food on our plates! It's a 2 hour drive for me to come here, but Bloom's experience was so great this will definitely be a go-to anytime I'm in the area. Highly recommend to anyone visiting San Juan Capistrano!
