Amazing "Hole in the Wall" Bar!Belly of the Beast offers a very unique aesthetic design. I went here with a plus one and we both felt like we were in a mini "Disneyland-like" attraction. The vibes here are very mellow, suitable for dates and night out with friends. This bar had a "Hawaiian" type theme, and was perfect for the night. They offer a big variety of food and drinks. The best Pina Colada I've ever had in my life. The service we had here was phenomenal. Absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Good vibes and solid drinks.Belly of the beast is located in a small strip mall. It's inside a tiki bar restaurant and the host will walk you back to a small bar that is Pinocchio theme. It's literally inside a whales mouth. I had Cleo the castle and smoke the monster out. My fiancé had a a beer and the poison apple.Cocktails here are strong and are on the sweeter side. They have cool effects like lights in the cup and the smoke in my Smokey cocktail. We also tried the spam musubi ($9). You may think $9 is expensive but it's deep fried covered with unagi sauce. It's heavenly but heavy. Overall solid place for a date or a small group outing.

This one hurts. Picture this: you walk into a really lively tiki bar with lots of people having a great time, excellent music in the background, and a very fun atmosphere that makes you feel like you are on vacation. You tell them that you're there for the belly of the beast experience, and they usher you to a private backroom for this speakeasy. Although you're excited, you can't help but notice that the closer you get to where you're going, the further away you're getting from all the people and all the fun. Then you walk into this back room which is belly of the beast, and the tables and chairs are so tight together you can barely squeeze in. Nobody is there, you're the only one. Instagram and influencers lied to you again, this is not as cool of an experience as they told you that it would be. In fact a friend of mine said to me that he felt like we were in trouble, and this was the timeout room where they put the people that they don't want causing a scene out in the regular bar. It literally does feel like you are just segregated from all of the excitement that you just walked past... Because you are. The drinks were okay, I can barely remember them. Not because they were too strong, but because I couldn't wait to get out of there and I only ordered a drink to people light and because I had driven all the way from San Diego to try it. The food was very basic average. The service was very slow, The server we had was looking at their phone in the back because nobody else was in the room with us.Skip skip skip skip. Do not go here. And by here I mean the speakeasy, because the tiki bar its attached to is amazing and I would definitely go there instead.

Located within one of our favorite local tiki bars, we had high hopes for this "speakeasy" concept. Unfortunately, Belly of the Beast fell short on the details that make speakeasies special. The decor felt cheap, and corners were cut throughout, including sour, batch-made, overpriced drinks served from a tap.Skip this one unless Pinocchio-themed decor means the world to you. Instead, order an Uber and grab a barstool at the main bar at Stowaway with Michelle the bartender. You'll find fairly priced, well-balanced, freshly mixed tiki drinks with generous pours, delivering a much better experience.

In my opinion, I feel that this little speakeasy is mostly good for getting that instagram-able moment. Its quite small but it's a unique experience! I loved the decor they had for Christmas! There was only one bartender in the speakeasy because of how small and cramped it can get but service was still spectacular!

What a cool experience and our server even took a whole phot shoot of us! I love a speak easy and a theme but unfortunately I don't drink alcohol anymore. They have 2 specialty mocktails but that was it. The menu is also limited in there so we decided to go with the charcuterie board which never disappoints. We did snag the very first reservation of the night which 10 out of 10 recommend if you're as ridiculous as us and want to take all the pictures without having to wait your turn or feel like you're taking too much time!

After a friend's wedding left us looking way too snazzy to call it a night, we took a gamble and checked out the waitlist at Stowaway. Just as we were prepping ourselves for a long shot, we lucked into a seat at their new speakeasy, Belly of the Beast.Inside, the vibe was pure storybook meets high-seas fever dream--think: massive whale jaws, clocks everywhere, and Pinocchios peeking around. It was like strolling right into the depths of a Disney plot twist but with way better cocktails. We dove straight into the drinks: starting with Stromboli's 2nd Act, a fruity vodka-blood-orange wonder, followed by Cleo's Castle, a rum, lemon, orange, and orgeat concoction that came with its own light--yep, a literal beacon in a glass. But the pièce de résistance was Smoke the Monster Out, which the bartender torched right in front of us, adding a rich, smoky depth that perfectly capped off the experience. To soak up the magic, we paired these with a charcuterie board and some coconut shrimp that had us ready to stow away for good. Crispy, juicy, and the perfect warm-up to more drinks, it was like each bite was whispering, "You belong here." This place? Absolute must for anyone ready to go deep--very deep--into the Belly of the Beast.

Wow what a cool experience to sit in a whale mouth and drink cocktails! My friend and I got a reservation prior, and then went to their really tasty tiki bar before they finally called us in. We went towards the end of the night so we basically had the belly to ourselves and our bartender inside was super nice and fun, we were having a grand ol' time! The spam musubi is a MUST TRY, I was not expecting how fancy and tempurafied it would be and I wish I had enough space that day to munch on more! The drinks are definitely more sophisticated and stronger inside the whale than their outer tiki area and not as sweet. They also can't make you a drink not on their menu because they're all premade so that is something to note too. Overall, a really cool find for Tustin!

It's a cozy speakeasy tucked inside Stowaway. I really love the concept and it's very intimate. We went there once they opened up and can't wait to be back there. Drinks are top notch.
