Bella Sophia Chocolates

How did I ALMOST forget about this place?? I've always known that Bella Sophia is here and I've rarely been by lately. My sister was visiting from out of town so she needed gifts to bring back to her coworkers. I suggested a pit stop to Bella Sophia since we were walking by there anyway. She grabbed a nine piece box but then I realized she wouldn't get to try one. So I told her to pick one for herself and I got a Dubai chocolate bar for me. SO WELL MADE. $9 of heaven split three ways and it was perfect.

Beautiful storefront, even friendlier company behind the counter. Chocolates are handpainted and they're packaged beautifully! Literally artwork chocolate. Learned their chocolates are water-based with no creams. Read: no fillers. Pure, decadent chocolate. Perfect for a self treat or an elegant gift.

Came in search of chocolates on Valentine's Day (of course) - wanted to treat myself and had a great experience!! Family owned by a husband and wife team and named after their daughter - so sweet! And their chocolates truly are beautiful works of art - almost too pretty to eat! They have tons of bon bons in all different flavors - strawberry ganache, creme brûlée, salted caramel, raspberry, coconut - you name it! All of them look like paintings...and others are shaped like intricate turtles, dogs, seashells, airplanes, and even a giant stiletto heel! Truly impressive creations! They taste as lovely as they look - we tried the strawberry ganache, creme brûlée, raspberry, coconut, and speculaas - all were wonderful but the coconut was my fave - the filling is so flavorful and super creamy with small bits of coconut and the chocolate is smooth with a slight crisp quality to the outer shell - bellissimo!!Their chocolates are on the pricey side but the quality is truly there and they are all little works of art. They've won tons of awards - very well deserved - AND they were even featured at the Grammy's one year....so I expected the prices. But they validate your parking so it's worth it haha!! And they're so nice - I met one of the owners and he was most delightful- excellent service- so friendly and obviously loves the business. You'll find them in the Salon Republic in the Pacific City Mall. There's lots of parking along the sides and also in the below ground garage for a fee - but they validate. The store itself is cozy, clean, and very inviting. I had a great time visiting and will definitely be back for more of those coconut bon bons! Tysm!

Been a long time fan of Bella Sophia chocolates since they first popped up in Pacific City and so happy they made their Yelp page so I can write my review on the BEST specialty chocolate shop in OC!Food: 5/5- Small Chocolate Mixed Gift Box ($19)In light on this holiday season: Incoming gift givers, I know sometimes that finding the perfect item to give can be so hard to find. But whether it be your physician mentor or your significant other, you cannot go wrong with a custom picked box from Bella Sophia. During my most recent visit, one of the workers Nick was so helpful when selecting my choices, especially when I was planning to give chocolates to someone with a significant peanut allergy. He helped me choose chocolates that didn't overlap in flavors and was able to wrap my gifts up wonderfully in a nice red box and gift bag. Definitely will be returning!

It's been a while since coming to HB Pacific City, so I am so happy I found Bella Sophia Chocolates while walking around. I have the worst sweet tooth, especially for chocolate, so I had to stop in to check it out. There were so many different types of chocolates in the glass, and they all looked so beautiful. The nice gentleman who was the owner told us that him and his wife hand make the chocolates themselves which is amazing. You can really tell his passion for chocolate. I bought their award winning dark chocolate truffle as well as their Dubai pistachio chocolate bar. When I tell you this was all devoured in less than 5 minutes, I'm not joking. These were incredible. Best chocolate I've ever had!! I need to go on a diet for a wedding but I would literally eat this every day cuz it is so worth it LOL!

The owner who helped us was very friendly. And the chocolate I got which I believe was a peanut butter chocolate. It was amazing!

The owner of the shop was very nice and informative. He and his wife hand makes the chocolates, while they are pricy, they are beautiful and delicious. I didn't even won't to eat my frog. It was creamy and delicious just melted in my mouth.
