Beach Pit BBQ

My family of 6 ordered 2 sampler platters and additional rolls. It was the perfect amount. Their meat was tender, fall off the bone ribs, delish sides- coleslaw had a delish vinegar sauce, mac n cheese creamy, potato salad yummy, greens tender, blueberry corn bread moist and flavorful.The inside dining is small, but they have pleanty of outdoor seating w/heaters. Our service was great and friendly.I would come back next time we're in town.

Place is great and staff is even better!Food was good and glad they had outdoor patio seating as well!!

Attended this restaurant yesterday, one word you...Terrible. Food was cold and tasteless, and super expensive for what you get. We had one gentleman help us, take our dishes and was attentive to us, he was nice. There was a dude managing the cash wrap and he was a hot sweaty mess. It was big turn off. Parking lot is super small and only only way, someone was coming in as we were going out...the couple in the car asked of if the place was worth it due to the parking issue and we said NO find a better place to eat. So do yourself a favor and find another bbq spot in area. This place is gross.

Fabulous BBQ spot the food here is excellent, I got the sampler and it came with all the meats to try and 2 sides, everything was delicious juicy and perfectly cooked and seasoned! The potato salad was wonderful, perfectly creamy and everything was just so good. And the decor is so nice as well I sat outside near the fire and had an amazing time here. Service was great

Absolutely delicious. Super friendly staff, nice vibe in the restaurant. The parking lot is pretty small but other than that it was great! Ribs are fall-off-the-bone and all the other meats we had at our table were top-notch. Cornbread and Mac'n Cheese were both very good. Will definitely be coming back next time we are in Newport Beach!

Beach Pit was recommended by our golf leader who makes our tee times. Naturally it is in CM where we play, and where our leader lives.Three of us shared a sampler platter that inc beef tips, smoked turkey, chicken, sausage, pulled pork, St. Louis ribs, coleslaw, beans and cornbread. At first it did not look to be enuf food, but it ended up being plenty.My faves were the ribs and sausage. The slaw was unique bc it was a vinegary slaw vs a creamy one. The slaw helped balance the savory food.Regarding the ambiance, its casual here. You order at the counter, and we sat at a picnic style table outside. The jack of all trades cashier also brought our food out. They should get her more help. Nonetheless, she was cheerful & friendly.Beach Pit is def on our after golf rotation for lunch. They serve hearty food, at a reasonable price in a casual setting. Just what we are looking for after a round.

Had the 2 meat plate, with brisket and pulled pork. Food was great. This was an awesome spot, great ambiance, and even better service!

On a Saturday night in August, my hubby and came here for dinner. We luckily found parking in front of the restaurant. Lots of outdoor dining and few tables inside. The staff are friendly and nice. Since it was our first time, the staff person suggested the sampler menu 32.95 which we got. The ambiance was laid back and casual. The sampler plate came out fast with cream corn, collared greens and Mac n cheese with japaleno corn bread. The brisket and ribs was tender and off the bone while chicken pieces, sausages and pull pork was fine with splash of bbq sauce. Another staff guy checked on us several times which was nice.

Si not bad, not great. The restaurant itself is nice, clean and has a nice ambiance. You can smell something delicious as you walk up to the restaurant so it definitely entices and excites you. The service is nice and friendly which's is always a good sign. So the food....I felt our food was warm, more towards the colder side. We didn't wait to dig in but the food just wasn't hot. It didn't take long to get our food either so not sure why the food wasn't hot. We sat inside also. We ordered pulled pork and brisket and even though it tasted fine, it was dry. The sauces/ BBQ sauces really helped but I want everything to taste good on its own and have the sauces elevate, the sauces were really just saving the food. Mac and cheese was bland, corn bread was fine and the French fries were good. Overall I can't expect to come back, my hunt for great BBQ continues.

consistency is key in this place has it. The pulled pork the smoked chicken and the smoked turkey are all bomb.
