Let me just start by saying--Bahar Restaurant never disappoints! We've hired them for multiple events, and every single time, they go above and beyond. Mr. Mehrdad, the owner, is hands down the best in the business. He's not just an amazing organizer but also a fair adviser who truly knows how to run things smoothly. No stress, no chaos--just pure professionalism and calm leadership that makes everything come together perfectly.Now, let's talk about the real star of the show--the food. Bahar fed 190 guests, and people are still raving about how incredible everything was! The flavors, the quality, the freshness--it was all next level. Every dish was packed with rich, authentic flavors, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. Honestly, no other Persian restaurant or caterer comes close to what Bahar delivers.Huge shoutout to the catering team for an amazing setup and presentation. And special thanks to Vlademir and Isaac, who worked their tails off delivering food and appetizers multiple times between Mission Viejo and Huntington Beach on a crazy Friday night. Bahar is our go-to place for Persian food. My family and I have ordered many meals from here over the past 15 years, and everything has been delicious. Our favorite is Loobia Polo + Beef Koobideh. The prices are fair and the quality of food is great.We primarily order for takeout, but I dined in for lunch today. The inside looks formal and beverages/food were served on colorful ornate plates and glassware. However, the atmosphere felt relaxed and the diners were dressed casually. You should definitely try Bahar if you're looking for great Persian food!

Excellent Soltani kabob, both ground beef kabob and filet minion were very tender and tasty. What surprised me was the Greek salad, very fresh with real Kalamata olives and plenty of great feta! Will be going there again.Service was very good also.

We have been frequenting this restaurant for years as one of the best Persian restaurants in OC. The ambiance is nice and service is excellent. It is located in the second floor next to a middle eastern grocery store so you can do shopping or walk around after the meal.We ordered two eggplant dips to begin with. One with more yogurt and the other with more chill and a bit smoky. Both are excellent choices for the naans (two plates of hot naans were served per table). Each of us ordered different kabobs. I previously tried their lamb shank (excellent BTW), so I went for Chicken Soltani. There are two skewers of kabab, one with ground marinated chicken that is packed with herb flavors and melts in your mouth (like beef koobideh). The other kabab is chicken chunks which has more texture but still very trendy and juicy. We substitute rice with salad and grilled tomatoes, which is a much healthy choice and will not put you to sleep after me, as the portion is HUGE. We followed the entree with Persian saffron ice cream with a bit pistachio and sugary faloodeh noodle. Overall excellent dining experience and we will for sure tk come back many more times.

Wow! Honestly I wasn't expecting what I experienced at all. I was craving Persian food so I googled to see what was in the area and to my surprise I found my new favorite service was wonderful and the food was so flavorful and fresh. The ambience was beautiful. I will definitely be returning asap!Also love the market next door

Delicious food. Awesome catering. Mehrdad and Darya were exceptional; professional, knowlegable, and patient, while dealing with my menu changes and offering great suggestions. their jumbo whole salmon is always a show stopper as its beautifully presented and is the most delicious salmon I've ever had. The fesenjan (pomegranate walnut chicken and basmati rice) is a family favorite along with the baghali polo mahiche (lamb shank and fava bean basmati rice).I was a little hesitant to order a Thanksgiving turkey from a Persian restaurant, but I was delighted with tender juicy turkey served on a bed of zereshk polo (barberry basmati rice). I think we just started a new family Thanksgiving traditiong! Thank you Bahar restaurant!

I used to love this place but it isn't the same. The portions are much much smaller and the food is so-so. It was super disappointing.

I used to go to this place alllll the time growing up and haven't been in forever. It's just as good as I remember it! We started with the 3 stews and the tahdig. The gheymeh was on point today! It was sour and perfect. We also ordered the chicken soltani combo that came with chicken barg and beef koobideh. Both the chicken barg and koobideh were juicy and full of savory goodness. I like to do half rice and half salad so I'm not eating so much rice plus the dressing on the garden salad is tangy yet a little creamy. You haaaave to get the maast moosir with it - it's like OG sour cream and onion (Persian version). It's a thick savory yogurt with shallots in it. Eat all your food with a bite of this. You'll thank me later. Our server Miriam was a real pro making sure we got everything we needed! She was always refilling our drinks.
