I've been coming to bagel and brew for at least 25 years. Always loved it and always will! Arrive early-- it gets busy. Great local staple. My husband got hooked after visiting my family too. It's our first stop when visiting now.

I review this establishment with a disturbed attitude. The food and the service are extremely good and the staff are great. I've eaten here in the mornings several times and left very satisfied. I was here yesterday morning around 9:30. My usual order is always great. As I relate this, please understand when I go someplace to eat, I go to be quiet and enjoy my meal. 'It's my time.' Yesterday, my meal was interrupted by a table of 5 older adults (70+ yo M&F). One particular loud and obnoxious gentleman continued to discuss his politics and disdain with the new administration. I became very uncomfortable trying to eat my bagel breakfast. Two topics that should not be discussed or forced in public are religion and politics. Just my opinion but... I realize the management of this or any other restaurant exists on their satisfied customer. My meal was disrupted but this gentleman and his loud obnoxious rank. My desire to ask him to lower his attitude and tone was overridden by my belief in he has his right to believe what he chooses. However he made my breakfast time extremely uncomfortable for me and I chose to eat quickly and leave. I will remember this guy by site. The next time I go to have a bagel, when I come in - if I see him I will turn around and leave. It amazes me how one or two people can alter one's time because they choose to be rude, loud, obnoxious, and spread vile information. This is a time to heal and this type of rhetoric does not foster peace and healing. I am not one to complain about something without having a solution. A solution I can think of is to put a sign up in your establishment, saying to please refrain from speaking and loud voices regarding politics or religion.

I visited Bagel and Brew on 1/21 around 7:30 AM. Upon arrival, there was no greeting, which I didn't think much of at first. However, things took a turn when I placed my order. The staff's attitude was unprofessional and rude from the start.When I tried to pour myself some coffee, it came out cold, so I politely asked the manager if she could exchange it. Unfortunately, she was extremely rude in her response. She refused to come over and instead held the lever for a while, after which hot coffee finally came out. I apologized and explained that I wasn't aware I needed to do that myself. She didn't respond and walked away mumbling under her breath.I was disappointed by the lack of courtesy and professionalism. Customer service is important, and this experience was far from what I expected.

Good. Like amazingly good. Probably the best fresh baked bagel shop in south OC. I'm a frequent regular.And I must say. You will be waiting for your food FOREVER!!! I placed a to go order for two sandwiches - typical order - and waited over 20 mins. There was no rush. No line. But quite a few people sitting inside/outside enjoying their meals. No idea why they are so slow, when I glance in the kitchen it appears staff doesn't know about hustling. They take their sweet time, sipping their beverages, and laughing amongst co workers

8/20/2024Stopped in for a bagel breakfast sandwich on a Jalepeno cheese bagel with a Carmel latte and OJ. Yummy. Kylie, Diego, Sully, and Jessica did it again with amazing service with smiles. This place is very popular and the food is so fresh and good. I highly recommend Bagels and Brew! Awesome!

BEST bagel place in Oc. All their bagel flavors and cream cheeses hit the spot. No frills, no complaints. Just get the everything bagel with fresh garlic or dill cream cheese. Especially the Bialy bagels!

Food is always good, which is why I come. Staff is seriously lacking. Always teenagers working here who couldn't care less, and it shows. If you ask, whats in your garlic and herb cream cheese?, staff smirks and says "garlic and herbs". Clearly not at all prepared to answer any questions about the ingredients for people with dietary restrictions. The correct answer would have been "I'm not sure, but let me go check for you". When you're paying $20/hr for food service employees (because now that's required) might as well hire some capable adults with customer service skills, who have bills to pay and are therefore appreciative to have a job. Not ungrateful teens with bad attitudes. Or at least have an adult manager around so maybe better training would be happening? Never see any adults behind the counter, maybe just the cooks.

Outstanding place I've been coming to on weekends for the four years i have been living here. Fantastic and dedicated team of professionals crushing it with outstanding smoothies and fresh bagels including the unicorn bagels my daughter loves. Highly recommend calling ahead, but regardless their service is outstanding and they'll get you whatever sandwich you need in a timely manner. I also appreciate the brick interior / French cafe artwork ambiance as well as a very spacious patio that has cover in the form of umbrellas at every table.
