Such amazing food! You can tell it's made with love...best hummus! Friendly people and clean space Very nice quite place Good for a first date!

Ate there today with my family and during our meal we encountered hundreds of bugs that came out of the wall out of nowhere. We jumped up so quickly and left the restaurant flicking the bugs off our shoes and clothes. They were flying ants. I am disgusted that this place remains open after reading the one star reviews. Shut this place down!!!

It was a great surprise to find a Moroccan place in San Clemente with all the Mediterranean food you can wish for. We shared a family plate which contained Lots of grilled chicken kebab and Shawarma and lamb all were so delicious ! We enjoyed the home made baclava and the special display and taste of the Moroccan tea with mint and thyme ! Highly recommend !

Best Chicken I've ever had! So so tender! I love that he cooks the food in avocado oil so there's no seed oil. It's super healthy. About everything I've ever eaten here has been absolutely delicious. Amazing Mediterranean food with a Moroccan twist. Mark is the best!

Best kept secret in San Clemente. The meats are perfectly cooked. The hummus is incredible. The rice is so flavorful. This place is just incredible.

Hidden in that Old Town Plaza that a lot of us tend to forget about because it's not on Del Mar. first of all, when you walk in, you can see that the dining area is extremely clean. This always is a good sign that the kitchen is also hopefully similarly clean. The waiter surprised us with a bonus appetizer, and we ordered chicken kebabs and a side tabouli salad that was delicious. Hummus was great and everything was super fresh.

Fresh Mediterranean Moroccan food right in this restaurant and can't wait to come back for more! The Mezza Platter was excellent and good for two people or even three. It was substantial and very satisfying for lunch. The Mezza Platter consisted of hummus, tabbouleh, falafel, baba ganouj, dolmen and with a small plate of fresh tahini and generous servings of pita bread. The restaurant is simple and functional. Perhaps Monday lunch was a slow day, there was only one server attending to a few customers and take-out.

This was our first time at Andalusia Kitchen and I was blown away by this amazing meal. We started with the free carrot dip and pita bread. I'd never had anything like that it was so good. We dined on Saturday and two of the specials, chicken and olives with rice, and braised beef. We're rice snobs and this rice did not disappoint, and the cous cous was also tasty. The restaurant appears to be a one man show, so if you aren't greeted the minute you walk in please wait. The building itself was the old sheriffs office in Old Town San Clemente. The next time I'm in town I'll definitely dine again.

UPDATE 8/17/24: For the past several months, this restaurant has had a suspended permit due to RODENT INFESTATION. Yet, it continues to serve customers in blatant violation of orders by the OC Heath Care Agency to close its doors. I just found out it was supposed to be closed since 6/4/24 due to "Observed rodent activity in multiple areas including the kitchen food preparation areas, and food and food equipment storage areas". I am livid that I took my family here and the owner personally served us food while knowing his restaurant is operating under unsanitary conditions.Do not go to this restaurant. It has failed health inspections over and over - clearly the owner is unable to run a restaurant.

This review is only about Delivery orders. In a word, don't! I love the food there. I've successfully ordered delivery twice and unsuccessfully 3 times. The last time, even though my order was canceled after I was notified that the food was on its way, I was still charged for food (the charge is being disputed). I even called the restaurant and they had no explanation why it was canceled because they said it was picked up by the delivery person. I'm not sure the cause of the problem but if I order there in the future, I'll be sure to pick it up myself.
