Aliso Coffee & Donut

Went to this doughnut shop a few times to grab burritos and doughnuts with my friend who loves this place. The staff is super friendly and I just love the general feel-good feeling I get when I come in here. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and they made sure to double-check my pick-up order to ensure everything was correct. It tends to get busy, especially around 8 AM or on school days, since it's close to Aliso Niguel HS.The doughnuts are great and I especially love their breakfast burritos and the homemade salsa. Service is pretty quick, even during busy times. They have a great variety of donuts, and I stuck with my usual - the old-fashioned, which never disappoints.

With newer ownership (I think) I was scared to go back here. The last few times I went, it was meh.. not the best.This time I was greeted by a younger guy, super friendly and almost too much so. I thought "are you from socal? You're way too nice" He made suggestions, and ended up getting the burrito I usually get here.While waiting, a younger mother came in to get donuts for her kids. They sold out, and the owner offered to give her kids two juices on the house since they didn't have donuts. That was impressive The burrito was one of the best in the area, salsa is good too(pro tip, get extras).I would go back here for sure

I AM ABSOLUTELY BAFFLED that I've lived in Aliso for 4 years & this is my FIRST time experiencing Aliso Coffee & Donuts From the in shop vibes and energy of the guys behind the counter to the excellent vanilla iced latte (w/ non burnt espresso) INCREDIBLE! But the breakfast burrito, is TOP TIER! Extremely reasonable prices for the quality and portions. I feel like I've been living under a rock and I'm so upset I've not tried this place sooner. 10/10 recommend! I'm obsessed & can't wait to go back

We decided to try a new coffee place instead of the usual boring "chain".The bacon breakfast burrito was most excellent! Homemade salsa was awesome! We will be back!

Friendly workers with excellent customer service skills, and a delicious breakfast burrito with good salsa on the side.

The cronut and Boston Cream Pie donut were delightful extras, despite their calorie count. I don't mind paying more for a burrito, but if prices are going up, I'd expect the portions to remain the same. Previously, the burrito was well-balanced with generous portions of steak, eggs, and hash browns. On my recent visit, however, it was mostly potatoes with only a small amount of meat and eggs. The burrito now seems to be filled with more filler, like many other breakfast burrito places. That loaded burrito was the highlight of my first review of JC Donuts, and I was recommending it to everyone. What was once my go-to spot for a reliably amazing, loaded breakfast burrito might now be like most other places--just okay.There's another breakfast and donut shop just around the corner from work that makes a great "Ultimate Croissant" with ham, egg, bacon, and cheese for $7. They also serve a solid Boston Cream Donut, filled completely without skimping. I always looked forward to my visits to Aliso Coffee and Donuts, but life happens and things change. So I returned...because I had hope that maybe once more, out of the many visits, would be better. Instant regret. Prices are now even higher for lower quality, overly sweet donuts. This used to be my favorite donut shop. The guy at the counter borderline snapped at me while I was ordering and was not friendly at all. For such a short experience, it was definitely not a sweet one. I thought to myself, "hey give this guy a break maybe he's not happy because it's Valentine's Day...some people don't enjoy holidays!" But other reviews on Yelp proved this wrong. Rude customer service should not be consistent. I miss the old ownership.

This shop is on a whole different level of experience. From the donuts to the variety of breakfast options, they're fresh and made to order. The service here is beyond welcoming, friendly, and appreciative of your business. I always walk out of here with making a better start to the rest of my day.

I probably already reviewed Aliso Coffee & Donut, but we just can't get enough of this place. Everyone is warm and friendly and even though they are Detroit Lions fans they're really great guys & gals! Thank you to the entire team there for always taking great care of us and providing the best quality breakfast in town!
