Irma's Mexican Food

I love this place but it's hard to get a hold of them, I think they got new hours? I've been trying to order a green Chile burrito for days

I never like to give bad reviews but this was our second time at this restaurant and we know why we haven't been there in a while. I always like to support family owned businesses and always hope that the food is above average but today the food was average at best. We saw a plate come out to another customer that had eggs on it and expecting to see fried potatoes we saw french fries which possibly could've been asked for I don't know but normally you would get nice fried potatoes with your eggs but I'm not going to second-guess this one. I ordered a chorizo omelette with beans and it was just OK nothing to write home about but the beans were real watery. My wife ordered a Carne Asada Nachos and they were just average at best. The salsa wasn't very good especially the red salsa just really had no flavor. The best thing about our visit was the iced tea, it was at least very good. Very disappointed and probably will not visit again, usually when we've only been to a restaurant one time there's a reason.

We've been going for so many years and the food has always been consistent but after today we're not sure about going back.I was stirring my husband's fresh cup of coffee and when I lifted the spoon back out there was a dead roach inside. Yes, the staff seemed genuinely apologetic but still charged us for the coffee. Nobody should ever have to pay for an item after that experience.

I've eaten here a few times and it's good! Nothing special, better than fast food but not a fine dining restaurant or top chef cooking! Just stuff you can cook from home! Definitely come here if you have extra money and don't feel like cooking from home, but again the food is 3 out of a 5!

Went in today for lunch as my husband was in the mood for menudo. They gave us our drinks and salsa but no chips. I ordered sopes. When the food came my rice was cold and was bland. The sopes were no fresh at all. The menudo was hot, but was flavorless. Overall the experience was disappointing. We will never come back and definitely will bot recommend. Save your money or go somewhere else to eat. I'm sorry we stop at this place.

I'll take a pass.The staff at Irma's Mexican Food are warm, friendly, and extremely personable, which is why I feel terrible for calling out their Mexican food as bland, tasteless, and poorly executed.The food at Irma's isn't so much bad as it is bland, and the presentation is sloppy, even for a fast food establishment. On this visit we had the Beef Tacos and Barbacoa Sopas, all of which border on terrrible. The Barbacoa Sopas were drowned in a tastelesd red sauce with a very small amount of diced up pieces of meat, and topped off with a combination of cheese, grease, and more grease. The food could have been worse, unpleasant flavors would certainly be worse than no flavor at all.I wasn't expecting fine dining, nor was I expecting terrible Mexican dishes.

Honestly id rather eat at Filiberto's: chile rellenos were just plain battered peppers no cheese or toppings. Carne asada burrito super bland, and enchiladas were extremely mid. Dry and chunks of meet. Definitely not your authentic shredded beef enchilada. Only good thing was rice and beans. Very disappointed

The two of us both had the Chile relleno and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would have preferred a restaurant that served alcohol but this was a fine place for a quick meal to satisfy our desire for authentic Mexican food.

We stop here to give them a try for menudo and sopes but it was so disappointed with everything. starting with no a/c inside and it was so hot...the menudo is just hominy and water because doesn't have any flavor and like around 3 piece of meat if you are lucky also the way they brought out the plate did not look good (forgot to take a picture).the sope is not fresh at all and flavorless.Don't waste your money here.
