The two gentlemen who were helping us were very friendly and attentive. One of them was Wesley and I didn't catch the name of the guy in the back breaking the chocolate. They gave us a chocolate tasting which was fun, we tried 3 different chocolates. I think they are a bit too dark for me, but I love milk and white chocolate. I ordered the chocolate and banana pieces and they were so delicious! I have never had dried bananas before but it did not disappoint. Also, I ordered the chocolate covered marshmallow and the marshmallow was so soft and chewy and yummy!Glad we were able to stop in!

This review is long overdue. I first discovered this Intrigue location a few years ago, while visiting Seattle from Los Angeles. We tried the sipping chocolate and enjoyed a chocolate tasting as well. We obviously couldn't leave empty handed, and purchased some lavender hot chocolate powder so that we could relive the experience at home. It was absolutely delicious. On a subsequent visit, we discovered the Intrigue coffee shop in Capitol Hill. The lavender latte was what dreams are made of! Unfortunately, that store recently closed down. On a whim, I replied to one of Intrigue's newsletter emails asking for the recipe to the latte. To my surprise (and delight), Aaron responded with the recipe! How amazing is that? Since then, my husband and I have been making online orders of hot chocolate and seasonal chocolate flavors. Aaron remembered who I was and even added this handwritten note (photograph attached) to my last order. The customer service and products are wonderful. We're planning to be in Seattle in a few weeks and are looking forward to our next visit. I can't rave about this business enough (even though they're constantly ruining my diet!)

I absolutely loved my time at intrigue chocolate. We had a team event first and the space at locus wines was so lovely. We then went over to the actual store and the selection is incredible and the owner is so knowledgeable about ALL things chocolate. The amount of care that is put into the product and packaging is noticeable and not only did I buy things for myself but also perfect for gift giving! I highly recommend intrigue chocolate as a wonderful team building activity or just for some fun out on your own or with friends!

Amazing staff and even yummier hot chocolates wow! It's such a cozy spot in Pioneer Square, where their hot chocolates are made with fresh ingredients. My friends and I stopped by before an evening work event and the girl working there was incredibly friendly and helpful in helping us with our orders.I ended up getting the oak milk chocolate with peppermint (iced) and it tasted amazing. It really is far superior than your mixed-cocoa packets. If you check in on yelp, you can get a free truffle from their large selection in the display case. Love it and would most definitely be back!

Call me a grinch, but I do not like hot chocolate...unless it's from Intrigue Chocolate! This is the one of the best places for hot chocolate and CHOCOLATE. Every time I'm in Pioneer Square, I find myself stopping by Intrigue Chocolate. It's a small space that's inviting with the most patient and friendly staff. There are a variety of truffles in the case to choose from, especially since if you check-in on Yelp, you get a free truffle with purchase! And there are different, high-quality chocolate bars for sale, in addition to the bar they have where you can order your chocolate-y drink! Plus, there's coffee here in case you need a caffeine fix. In my most recent visit I tried the French Laundry drink and for someone who does not like flavored coffees, this one was outta this world! Although you should try the hot chocolate if you haven't already, the French Laundry is one I recommend for anyone who loves lavender flavors and needs coffee! The French Laundry is made up of milk, cold brew and lavender syrup. Simple but tons of flavor! There is a lot to intrigue you at Intrigue Chocolate! This is such a treat in Seattle and is one of my favorite places for chocolate. It will soon be yours too once you visit!

We went out of our way today to find this little spot during our few days in Seattle, hoping it was the gem it sounded like in the reviews. We walked in excited to get a few chocolate bars and cups of hot chocolate on this cold day. I told the staff member (the owner?) that we'd read wonderful things about them on Yelp and was met with a cold "We don't have any hot chocolate or samples. We have retail on offer," gesturing toward the small wall of products. The tone was clearly 'buy your sh** and leave'. I can't recall ever feeling dismissed like that in an establishment in my life. We proceeded to spend $17.50 on a bar of chocolate and a small packet of chocolate bites, and skedaddled out of there.Do yourself a favor and spend your cash on the many chocolatiers in town who'd be grateful for the business, not bizarro snobs who've forgotten basic human kindness.

I've been by Intrigue Chocolate a few times. The first couple of times was to purchase one of their many flavors of chocolate for myself or for a loved one. All of the flavors are very unique, bold and delicious.Yesterday I was really needing a cup of hot chocolate. I wanted more than just the powdery confection you buy from your everyday grocery store. I also wanted more than just steamed milk and chocolate syrup. When I walked into Intrigue the lady at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful. There were many flavors of hot chocolate offered by Intrigue. I chose vanilla bean and was also offered their homemade vanilla bean whipped cream. Worth the $4.95 for this decadent drink.

This was a pleasant surprise... taking a walk downtown and I stumbled on this little hidden gem. Sundos greeted us with a great smile and a "Do you like chocolate"... she had me at Chocolate. She gave us a tour of all the drinks from teas to cocoas and ended with some chocolate samples. This place is amazing and so is she.

I was near Pioneer Square and I was on this kick of getting chocolates from cities I visited for work. Intrigue came up as pretty highly rated and close by so I made the quick drive over and walked in.My day was over relatively early so I was there at a weird time on a weekday so it was dead quiet. Moreover, I was looking for truffles because they're small, easy to stick in a carry-on and allowed me to get a variety. They were out! Well, they were made but not cooled or cut yet. I was going to walk out empty handed but I got lured in by who I think was the owner's story about Intrigue and their approach to chocolate. He definitely had an approach to chocolate that winemakers have towards their products or a cheesemonger would have, where there's a respect for the raw foodstuff and a definite skill and care to making something else out of it.I don't know if it was a sales pitch but it definitely won me over and I walked out with a Rainbow Collection box as well as a few of the chef collection bars. I told myself I would take a picture of it when I got home but they didn't last that long.
