I was hesitant based on reviews but wow, we loved everything we ordered from Indochine on Pearl. I need to take photos for the next post, but this is our new favorite. I just wish we could get a salad roll with a crispy tofu center, like our previous favorite place in Redmond. That would be 5 stars for sure!

This unsuspecting haven on Pearl St is so much more than meets the eye. Walk in to discover friendly staff, a decor built with love, a descriptive menu, and unique, iconic dishes!! The Sesame Wraps and Potstickers are incredibly flavorful and fresh and by far my family's favorite. The servings are generous. In addition, they will box up your meal which such a kind touch that I had to add this.I rarely rate restaurants but the Sesame Wraps and Potstickers, friendly service, and gentle ambiance makes this a great place. Please stay awesome Indochine On Pearl! Thank you for hosting us. :)

Beautiful ambiance and delicious entrees at a reasonable price. However, I was disappointed by the $13 spring rolls. I believe these are way overpriced. I expected a thicker sauce; it was sort of watery. I still recommend eating here, but I don't believe the spring rolls are a fair deal at all. Service was good.

Indochine On Pearl is our go-to Thai food spot in North Tacoma, for both dine-in and take-out. We love the ambiance when dining in, and the service has always been great!Recommendations: Try the Fresh Spring Rolls, and order the Caramelized Cashew Chicken, so good!

Got here at what should still be dinner rush and was able to get seated right away, ordered the fresh rolls and Dungeness Crab wonton and they were very delicious, then we had mussaman curry with chicken which was spot on perfect and drunken noodles with pork which again came perfect, would have thought that this would have been a tad busier, but glad it wasn't, will be back. Very nice place with a mellow vibe.

Indochine on Pearl is a smaller, more casual version of the larger, classier Indochine downtown, but because they have two separate websites and different (but similar) logos, the two do not appear to be related. They feature very similar menus, but Pearl is a few dollars cheaper across the board. The space is well-decorated and inviting, with pleasant water features lining the entrance and faux-rooftops inside creating the feeling of being in a Thailand garden. Date night planners should be aware that though parking is much easier here than Downtown, Pearl's surrounding environment isn't as interesting and walkable as Downtown's. The service wasn't bad, just sort of absent. Our server was slightly off-putting, walking up to the table and just looking at us without prompting us with a line like "what can I get started for you" or "what would you like to order". It's a small restaurant, but she would just disappear and missed the usual cadance of drinks/food/check-ins/payment. In fact, after she took our orders, I don't think we saw her again. Maybe her shift was over. In any case, the Tropical Fever drink was deliciously sweet and the Drunken Noodles had plentiful veggies and an excellent texture. Disappointingly, the Phad Thai was overpowered by garlic.Overall I found the experience more comparable to that of Royal Thai Bistro than to Indochine Downtown. The atmosphere is better than Royal Thai but not as good as Downtown. The price is similar to Royal Thai in that it's less expensive than Downtown. The service and the food was worse than either.

Exceptional Thai/Vietnamese/Cambodian? Flavors! Absolutely delicious dishes and many very original, unlike your average thai restaurant. Loved the potstickers - totally different from anywhere else and with a unique sweet ginger sauce! So good we ordered a second batch. Toasted sesame wraps are like a naan type of bread with a chicken and mango sort of salad to wrap inside. Then there are a dozen or more unique stirfry type entrees. All we tried were good. Udon too. Very tranquil atmosphere too. Really a gem!

For reference, I'm Cambodian and have been LOOKING for some good eats. My boyfriend and I always passed by this place without a second thought until my lash lady recommended this place to me. I have now been here twice. Prices are moderate. Not expensive but also just only sliiightly higher than I think it should be. TLDR; All in all I'd rate it a solid 3.9/5. If you don't like spicy food it's great, if you DO like spicy food (like me,) you're better off bringing your own chili oil. Things are definitely flavorful though.~The good, bad, and ugly: The good(: Atmosphere is super calm, it isn't very loud in Indochine, the dishes are authentic and delicious. Family style serving is nice :) Flavors are off the charts yummy and I love how they use lemongrass as that's a big flavor in this type of cuisine. Imagine my surprise being Khmer and seeing a photo of the Angkor Wat in their back seating booth-- that was awesome. The bad): The server said the plates were "really big, like you can share." So my boyfriend and I ordered appetizers (their wings here are INSANEly good. 5/5) & an entree to share, but when the main dish came out, it was only enough for one person honestly. That was a bit of a bummer. Service is a bit slow, we had to wave the waiter over quite a few times to ask for more water, the bill, etc. The ugly0: You have to pay for a side of rice, and that side of rice is VERY small. Seriously, it is a baby bowl of rice and this bothers me because ALMOST NONE of their entrees come with rice, so having to order a bunch more kind of sucks. Also their spicy stuff is NOT spicy. They just add sprinkled dried red pepper flakes on your dish, & spice lvl 1-5 just indicates how big a pile of pepper flakes they dump on top of your food :/

I have waited and waited to try this establishment. Well, the wait is over and I will not be back. I must say the lobby is inviting though. I ordered chicken satay. Ha! I do believe someone needs to go back to school. Chicken satay is not supposed to be black and rubbery. Mine was black and resembled rubber tires. The other dish was Golden Cashew: This is from the menu:Tender strips of chicken, fresh vegetables, and roasted cashews sautéed in a subtly sweet and spicy garlic sauce. The strips of everything were too big and very few. The four cashews do not make for a dish that has the words cashew in the title. The flavor, mmm, no. I ended up adding my own sauce. No rice comes with the dish. Sorry, but that meal was a waste of money and my time.
