Product is good. Good stuff, fair prices for being convenient. However the old owner was so lovely and friendly, and made every trip special. The new owners or staff (not sure) are surly, don't smile, act like customers are inconvenient and make the whole experience sour with that attitude.

I was super critical of the store because of my ice cream fiasco in my first review. I really should have been more comprehensive, and generous, in my review then to state my friend had a good experience purchasing her snacks.I stopped by tonight on my way home, even though I had said I would not go to that store again, I got an ice cream cone. It was black cherry Dreyer's brand ice cream and it was delicious. Totally hit the spot. And the cashier/ice cream server was super friendly.I had never paid attention to the store before. I had only been in there once when I got that sour ice cream a while back. But it looks like a pretty cool place where lots of people hang out. There were tons of young people there today they look like they were having fun.

Phenomenal sandwiches and ice cream!! This little market is the best for a quick bite and or picking up some essential items. The staff is beyond friendly and amazing. This is a super cute place that you must stop by if you are nearby. They also have daily soups and breakfast items!!

Love this place! Great sandwiches and soups. Great service, friendly folks. It's the best neighborhood hangout. Very casual - vacation vibe. Local artists sell cards, photography and paintings there too. Fun place to meet your friends for coffee and then go for a walk on the beach. PS. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, try the fresh baked cookies!

Great Sandwiches, breakfast burritos, lattes, not a very friendly staff. Previous owner was so friendly and welcoming, new owners NEVER greet you.

How I heard of this place: Our friends moved to a small town on the Peninsula; a town we'd never heard of; the town of Indianola. A year later, they asked us to take a mini vacation, and housesit for them for a week while they were away. This Country Store was one of our first stops as we explored the town...village? Type of cuisine: Pre-made and warmed breakfast sandwiches, drip coffee, and other limited options, not to mention the cans of goods available to neighborhood shoppers. Ambiance: A quaint, quirky market, with friendly owners and staff, calling greetings, and personalizing each interaction with everyone who enters the store. Cozy and warm, the space exudes small town gathering space, or morning stop for coffee on your way to work. We made it part of our daily tradition during the week we were in town, too. What I ordered: Breakfast sandwiches ($2.75 each). They were prepared by the owners and individually wrapped, set in the display case, and ready to warm up in the microwave upon being ordered. What I loved: The sandwiches were tasty and satisfied, but truly, it's the space that make the place. Why I loved it: The sweet, small town, friendly vibe of the space and the family feel between the owners and neighbors. Cost: Low

Great place to get a coffee or sandwiches. Right beside the pier. They have frozen bait and fishing tackle as well. Ice cream and gigantic muffins. What else do you need in life?

The Indianola Country Store is a homey time worn traditional store/deli one might see in any old-time summer resort. Kids getting ice cream, grilled sandwiches and such, dogs milling about outside, folks headed to the adjacent dock and beach on the Salish Sea. It's a cool place, and the only store in town. It should be a friendly place, but unfortunately it falls quite shy of that mark. The owners, and the owners before them, are just not people folks - not friendly at all really - I sure wish they would sell the place to someone who could realize the full potential of this little gem and make it the truly welcoming place the town deserves.

I am not happy with this supplier. Firstly, within the last three months I have called and emailed 4 times total asking about how to keep their wheat grass fresh (while not turning moldy or yellow) and I have had no response.Secondly their wheat grass at 'Natural Grocers' whether in Gresham or Clackamas has gone up from $2.25 to $2.45 or so, and this week it is $2.79!!! Why??...still the same size wheat grass! Pretty soon we might be paying them $3.00 for the same grass. So if I bought their wheat grass I would pay an amount of $5.58 for two of them for a glass of wheat grass juice each time . It's cheaper and better elsewhere. You guys didn't have the decency to respond to my emails and I don't want to hear from you after this..

I like this store. Been to better country stores, but this is a real and lovable store in a beautiful location. The hot sandwiches are so decadent you'll need to skip dessert. On the other hand, the ice cream is of quality, so what to do? Definitely worth a visit or two.[I know what the store is missing!: bait and tackle!]
