If you are looking for a breakfast place that has some great savory and sweet options with hefty portions and great customer service this place is it. Yolk treated us well. Such a fun and family friendly place. We were quickly greeted by the server even with a full restaurant on a weekend. She offered us water and showed us the holiday drink menu as well as walking us through the overall menu. In terms of options there is sure something for everyone. They have omelets, fan favorites like egg sandwiches, chicken n waffles and of course eggs benedict, pancakes, and french toast with many flavors.Drinks: We ordered a coffee, hot hazelnut latte with almond milk to drink. The latte was absolutely amazing and I had such a hard time trying to match that flavor at any other coffee shop we went to that day. It was so tasty! We paid roughly $7.50 for the latte which is comparable to coffee shops and restaurants. The coffee was also fresh and tasted like they had just brewed it. Sometimes coffees can be a miss if they sit on burners too long but this one tasted fine. Food: For food we ordered the waffles which come as 4 smaller waffles but very filling. You can add toppings for an extra cost but we just went with your plain waffles with syrup and butter. They do add powder sugar to them as well. The syrup was of course warm and they did give a hefty portion of butter. We also ordered the Countryside Skillet which comes with a side of two pancakes, syrup and butter. You can change the pancakes for any of the french toasts they offer for an upcharge of $3+. We kept the pancakes as our side and they did not disappoint. They were so buttery and soft! For the skillet, it was great. The potatoes they use are well seasoned but the gravy lacked a little seasoning. We added our own pepper to the gravy and dish and it was great. Portion wise it was a large portion and I was able to share some with my toddler. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy which come with a side of seasoned potatoes and scrambled eggs. Absolutely delicious after we added some pepper. Location: It is located in a strip mall and there is a large amount of parking. I highly recommend trying this location! Great food and great customer service. Our server was a gem!

So it's been 5 years since we've been to Yolk. Ending up here after the place we were gong to had no parking. Thought things may have changed. Well they have. The place looks ran down and sad. The booth we were sat in had a ripped seat. Walls scratched up and looked dirty. We arrived 45 min before closing. Plenty of time to order food eat and leave be for the hard close time. We got Croque Madame and a BYOO with two un-sweetened Teas. Food was just ok nothing special. We never got checked back on to ask if food was good. Never got tea refills.We seriously need to wipe the existence of Yolk from our minds.

As a big fan of the Yolk chain, I was excited to grab breakfast to-go from one of my favorite spots! I ordered a "Build Your Own Skillet" with potatoes, cheese, bacon, tomato, spinach, and two over-easy eggs. It also comes with a side of toast, pancakes, or a english muffin, and so I decided to go all out and get pancakes.The skillet was great. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the portion was generous. But when I dug into my pancakes, I was super disappointed. I took a few bites of the first pancake, and when I lifted it up, I noticed the one underneath wasn't cooked all the way through. It was definitely a bummer, especially since the rest of the meal was spot on.Overall, I'll still be back for the skillet and other items, but I hope the pancake issue is just a one-off! Would love to see a little more consistency on that end.

I've been to several locations in Chicago and wondered how the expansion was going, and I'm happy to say it lived up to my expectations. I liked that I could sit at the counter as a solo diner, and they have a full menu of espresso drinks in addition to drip coffee. My scrambler and pancakes were delicious, and the portions were huge. I did think the grits were under seasoned, so I might try something else next time. I tried to buy pancake mix on my way out but it seems it's widely sold out. Please bring back the pancake mix for those of us who don't live near a Yolk!

Im a regular here and the food and service is always consistently good. While I have favorites on the menu, I ordered the Croque Madame; full of turkey, ham and swiss, tucked between two slices of french toast. This breakfast sandwich is savory and sweet and best eaten with a drizzle of syrup and a knife and fork. Yolk Iron Works serves up good food and good value.

Stars for our server. Sad to say we were excited by the menu but it was not executed well today. Grits runny and watery and came cold :( Food arrived room temp. We like to see the steam rising off our dishes :( poor menu execution.

It was busy when we arrived but they got us seated pretty quick. Kids meal was good came with milk and was way too much food for my toddler. The chicken n waffles was just okay, I wouldn't order it again. My husband got the farm house it was great! Overall it was a great place we had excellent service. The restaurant was really busy, but everything was moving. When we are in the area we will definitely come back!

First time at this location and the first time back in years. I didn't have a good experience downtown Indy, but this time was delicious. I can say the service and staff were good along with the food.Salmon scramble with potatoes and pancakes were hands down amazing. Red velvet French toast. Heard it was amazing. Plate cleaned.Create your own Omelet. No complaints in this area.We will definitely be back.

Yolk was terrible. The food was AWFUL. Absolutely awful. I ordered chicken and waffles and it was a fried chicken patty and four small waffles. The entree came with one egg, they slapped a square American slice of cheese that wasn't even melted. I'm not exaggerating, the food was horrible and nasty. It wasn't edible in my opinion. Never coming back.

The food was not good at all (breakfast burrito had no flavor and eggs were not done). Service was okay, but nothing offered for a full plate of food not eaten. Charged for bottomless coffee that was not checked or refilled. Such a bummer of an experience!
