What a great place for kids! We stopped at the Wonderlab on our way to Kentucky and had the most fun. We didn't give ourselves enough time. I was not expecting my son to enjoy this place so much. So many hands on learning opportunities. We had planned to stay 2 hours and stayed almost 4 hours. Wonderlab is good for toddlers to around age 12 (in my opinion). The museum was clean and located close to many great restaurants.

First let me get my gripes out of the way. Admission here is a free frawl. Due to COIVD they limit the amount of people that they let in, which I am all for. However, it is a first come first serve, with no time limits. I got there an hour after they opened and the place was already at capacity. They had a wait list established, so I put my name on it. After about an hour wait, I finally got in. They need to have timed tickets, so that you do not have to wait like that, especially for people like me that have a decent drive to get there. So on a side note, you may want to only bring the minimum adults that you need, to allow for more kids to get in. Pap Paw and Gam Gam may have to sit this one out.The staff was very nice and apologetic about the situation though. They were awesome, very helpful. Anyway, before you get in you have to do a temp check and pay your admission fee and you are off.Admission is relatively reasonable and there is metered parking on the street out front of the museum and on adjacent streets. There is free two hour parking available, but it is a bit of a walk. Totally doable with older kids on a nice day. Another tip, don't pay for parking until you are sure that you are able to get in.This museum is packed. It has two levels. Some notable exhibits on the first level include the parachute drop, the bed of nails, viscosity air test, bubble making (my favorite was the big bubble maker), magnetic art, a waterworks thing, a tissue vacuum set up, optical illusions and a small kids play area for children under 3. On the second level you will find an aquarium with Dory and Nemo, a colony of ants, an intrusion of cockroaches, a giant piano, a kinetic sand box, a PVC instrument (like the Blue man Group), a drum that beats with your heartbeat, a giant dinosaur and a giant teddy bear. My little's favorite thing however, was the giant leaf-themed climbing structure that starts on the first floor and goes all the way up to the second. There are two sets of stairs that lead from the first floor to the second floor, as well as an elevator. Of course there is a gift shop at the entrance/exit filled with toys, science themed items, pop-its, magnets, stuffed animals, legos and much more.My little and I liked this place a lot. The hour wait to get in, in the cold rain, really sucked, but when we got in the place was not packed and we were able to do everything we wanted, with very minimal or no wait. This place is definitely worth a visit with kids. Their exhibits are not only fun, but educational. Hopefully, they will fix their admission/waiting problem

Pretty fun wonder lab museum that my daughters and I went to while we were in Bloomington. It has a lot of cool events and things to see. Unfortunately covid still going on so you got to be put on a waitlist wear your mask so that kind of hinders the phone because you have to wait around for an hour and a half just to get in the door unfortunately. But when we got in we did have limited time to play and run around because they were close at 5o'clock because I was not in dissipating the hour and a half wait to get in. But besides that it has lotta cool science things musical instruments to play bang on thanks for kids to climb up and down on so it's overall pretty good

I took my son and his cousin here for the afternoon. They are ages 10 and 12, they had a blast. Lots of stuff to do but contained in a small footprint so parents can rest while the kids play, but it's fun for parents to play too. We had a great time here and would recommend for families looking for something fun and educational to do while in the area. They had an area for younger kids too.

Wonderlab is a wonderful resource for a town this size. Every kid should get to enjoy a place like this. The staff is always friendly, and everything is well maintained. They also recently enlarged the habitat for their local neighborhood skink. The beehive on the second floor is VERY cool, as is the saltwater tank. While this place is fantastic for very young children, it suffers slightly from a lack of rotation. In the years I've been taking my kid, very little has changed. It's the same bubble station, the same nail bed, the same this, that, and the other for the most part. The gift shop isn't bad, but doesn't have a great variety. I think a good thing for them to do would be to have a dedicated space to rotate some things in and out. They didn't really give themselves room to grow, so their options are somewhat limited. That aside, it's a great place to host a kids party, and if you are low income, they have a program that will discount your admission. There is a beautiful pathway outside, and the stuff inside is well designed in being entertaining for adults as well as kids. If you have any young kids, it's definitely worth a visit. You may just want to space them out so the novelty doesn't wear off.

There is so much fun packed into this little children's museum. It's two stories, and on each floor are several stations with different activities to try and things to explore. The museum is geared toward children and focused on STEM elements: science, technology, engineering and math.My kids loved so many different things about this museum, but their favorites were the bed of nails (yes, you actually do lie down on a bed of nails!), the water station, and pretty much anything where they could build stuff, and there are a lot of opportunities to build here. After you pay for admission, you are free to come and go as you please for the whole day. This is great, because there is no restaurant or food on site except for two vending machines, so unless you packed a lunch, you'll probably have to leave and get lunch elsewhere.

We had my son's 4th birthday party here and it was the best one yet. The rooms are extremely affordable and come with your choice of a science presentation for the kids. It's one of the most affordable parties we've had, too.The lab part is also truly amazing. My kids loved the fish and the water-ball area. There was also some amazing technology like the area where you can sculpt a terrain and a camera/projector places a color coded topographic map on the sand. It's right on the bike-hike trail so you can make a full day downtown with the kids, too.

This is a great place for your little ones to play. It's not your typical bounce house (they don't even have one) or indoor jungle gym place. All the activities have an educational bent to them. Look through my photos to see some of them.
