We absolutely LOVE Wishes Dance Studio! Both of my daughters (7 & 10) have grown as dancers (and I have too, as I have gotten to dance with them on a number of occasions)! I can't say enough positive things about all of the instructors and owner!

A friendly and welcoming studio for my 2 daughters (8 and 10). Neither of them have taken dance classes before, but they have lots of options for beginners. The teachers we've had so far for ballet and hip hop have been really friendly and fun--they seem to enjoy being around children and teaching dance, and it shows. I was a little afraid about what our experience would be like since they hadn't danced before, but it's been great--so if you share a similar concern, rest assured that you don't have to be like those dance families you see in reality shows! We did a birthday party here about 5 years ago and had a "real" ballerina come in and lead the kids in a dance...everyone in our group loved it! They even helped us set up our party favors, etc. and took notes when the gifts were being opened so I didn't have to.

My daughter has been coming here for about 3 years now. She really enjoys the classes and would take more dance classes if we would let her. Even I have gotten brave enough to sign up for a Bollywood class in the fall and I know nothing of dance..lol.

Overall it has been a disappointing and upsetting experience sending our daughters to Wishes. We weren't aware they were teaching our daughters about religion, as they appeared to be a secular business. My 8 year old daughters were taught that the red of a candy cane represents the blood of Jesus when he was beaten and whipped because of their sins. I don't want my daughters filled with guilt when they see or enjoy a candy cane around Christmas.I feel that is an inappropriate message for my kids, and it isn't inline with my families faith tradition. I am happy for people to express themselves as they wish, but if they are going to push religion, and use violent religious imagery, parents need to be made aware. The owner has been made aware of our concern, and I respect their belief and it is their choice. However, I believe this needs to be made known up front so parents can decide if they still want their kids to participate. We were told they wouldn't be changing things, so we have decided to go elsewhere. The instructors were nice, and it is probably great if you are aligned with their faith tradition and how they message it to kids.

A very high employee turnover rate. Teachers come and go, get used and spit out. Dancers aren't taught proper class etiquette, and barely taught correct dance technique. Disney music, movies and characters are perpetuated throughout the classroom and made a huge theme in any recital/show that is put on stage. No original choreography.Just a money making scheme. Great for an after-school baby sitting/child entertainment program however. Although "dance-studio" is hardly a correct description for this place.

While the studio program overall experience and the facility is nice, the instructor Ms.Shelle doesn't seem friendly and was rude to my daughter during class. How do they expect us to come back if they are rude to their paying customers?!
