Winding River Golf Course

Fairly priced for what the golf course offers. Well maintained, friendly fairways and outstanding greens! The staff were friendly and helpful.

WARNING!! DO NOT GO HERE! TERRIBLE STAFF!!!This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star. We will NEVER return back. And we will make sure to warn the surrounding areas.The guy at the front desk checking people in is EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.We turned in our equipment to him after a game of golf and he said there was a bunch of stuff "missing" when there wasn't. He surely found that out after dumping everything on the ground while he continued to say VERY RUDE REMARKS. I cannot believe how we were treated.After leaving I looked at the reviews and sure enough! We are not the first people to have a very unpleasant run in with this asshole! He needs to be fired and crawl back into whatever hole he came from. If you are the owner you know nothing about running a business and deserve nothing but to go out of business which I'm sure you will if this is how you continue to treat people. Don't forget that WE THE PEOPLE ARE PAYING YOU. Not the other way around buddy.

Played after heavy rain but the course held up well. Nice open course. Small but well kept greens.

Course appears to be pretty well taken care of! The greens were a little slow, seems like they hadn't been cut in a little bit, but we also have not had much rain. It's a fun course to play and the service was great. They had a starter organizing tee times as it was pretty busy on a Saturday morning. For two people with a cart, it was $88, which is relatively affordable for the area and for the condition of the course. The course is mid-range on difficulty. It isn't super wide open, but a few tee shots that make you think. Really enjoyed the course and will definitely be back to play again.

We had a T time for 10:50 last Saturday 6/13/2020. As we waited for a cart our T time came and went and there were people in front of us still waiting. They had no starter to organize the starts and the T times were scheduled too close together. All of the other courses have spread the T times to allow for extra cart usage and cleanup. Most of the carts were taken by an outing group hours before they were needed. This course needs better management before I return.

Course is very nice and well maintained. Ponds need some chemiCal to get rid of all the algae but other than that, nice looking course.

I wish Yelp offered reviews of separate areas. I love this course. Driving range, very nice chipping green and a very large putting green to get you ready for your round. Greens are as tough as you can find on any public course in the area. What is lacking are a few staffing positions. They could really use a starter or a PA system to announce the groups. They either need to space out the tee times to 10 minutes apart or get a ranger. This course should not take over 4 1/2 hours to play on a weekday, but it did today. The two groups in front of us played a glacial speed, VERY frustrating. I would give the course 5 stars and only 1/2 star for staff & pace of play.

The best shape I've ever seen the course. The fairways are plush and the Greens roll very smooth. The landscape and holes are unique and we saw an Eagle flying around. The Red Barn hole is my favorite. Reasonable prices and the staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Employees are unbelievably rude. I paid for a membership to this course and won't even go back to use it.

We love our whole experience at this course every time we visit. What a beautiful track! It meanders through the trees, and up and down rolling hills, but still presents generous fairways. There are several sets of tees that make it very playable for everyone. The 'white' tees are perfect for us most of the time, very playable...but every now and then, we will take it on from the tips and it's a beast. The course is in the best shape it has been in many years, and gets better every year. Nice fairways, and the greens are perfect. I recommend it highly.
