Willie's Family Restaurant

Had such a great breakfast here with a larger group and truly loved the whole experience. Our server not only was super attentive with lots of coffee and water refills, but went above and beyond with my order. I should get to the order, and boy howdy was the breakfast good. I love the concept of the breakfast bowl and mine had house made corned beef and hash, with onions and peppers and swiss with eggs on top. I opted for a side of turtle pancakes, and when they came out, they were missing the turtle topping and the server kindly noticed and said "let me make sure to get those turtled up for you." Went back into the kitchen themselves and turtled up the pancakes. So kind and such a great topping. My 5 others in my party loved the food and the coffee as well. We end up eating at a lot of places together and this was as standout from great food and great service.

Cute place in strip mall across from Firefly House. Bright and pretty. Not thrilled with food though. Just meh- my eggs were barely warm and the potatoes were cold and flavorless/unseasoned and not crispy- had some crispy pieces but not a good frying job. Wouldn't get them again. Thumbs down . Bacon was the only thing done right. $20 for two breakfasts. Would give them another try and order something different.

We have been going to Willies Family Restaurant for 15+ years. By going, I mean weekly regulars. Today, perhaps, our table was cursed. At first, I wasn't going to write about the experience, chalking it up to slow Mother's Day service. However, the Mother's Day breakfast simply became an altogether waste of time and money. We arrived and were immediately seated. And then we waited. My wife did receive a coffee cup after about 10 minutes. But no coffee. We received water, coffee and an iced tea about 10 minutes later. Wanting to place an order, we reached out for help. Brushed off. After 45+ minutes, we placed our order and my wife got a refill of her coffee. Our meal was delivered -- piecemeal over maybe 5-10 minutes. Some food never made it. Other food not ordered was delivered. My wife never experienced an empty coffee cup here, until today even as servers walked by. My food was not cooked as ordered. Sent it back, and half came back correctly and the other half returned "as was." And remained cool to cold. We watched one table turn over three times while we were there. Most others, twice. Service was normal everywhere else we could see. Ultimately, we were told there was confusion over who was responsible for our table, even after we reached out early on. One server actively walked by carefully not looking at us. Should we have left? Maybe, but we got caught up in the belief that things were going to improve. Oh well. (They were giving roses to all the mothers, but managed to miss my wife on that, too.)

Wide open room that's very well kept and clean. Service was fantastic and the food was perfect! WillDefinitely be back!

Stopped in for lunch. There seemed to be a lot of regular customers, which was a good sign. Nice clean cafe with classy country decorations on the walls. Service was very good and quick. We had the potato soup, which was homemade and very tasty. Also ordered the Calli wrap. It was put together nicely and very delicious. Certainly would come back when we find an occasion to be in Ft Wayne.

My "go to".breakfast spot. Typical diner food done very well. The place is clean and the food great. It is ordinary fair but who needs gourmet for breakfast anyway? Go there fill your tummy.

Last night, my husband and I wanted some all you can eat fish. We heard Willie's had it on Fridays. So we gave it a shot. The hush puppies 8/10The tarter sauce 9/10The fries 7.5/10The fish 3/10The fish was dry and it wasn't freshly fried. We were pretty disappointed. Service was great and the hostess was super friendly.

What a wonderful Place - Service is always excellent. I've never had a Bad Meal here. This place does have a lot of history! Been around a LONG Time!

Stopped in here after an early morning dr appt at parkview on randalia.I had the breakfast special.1/2 order biscuits and gravy, with a 1/2 order of potatoes and gravy. I had my eggs scrambled.Around 10 bucks including my coffee.Everything was good. Gravy was strongly peppered.Potatoes and biscuits were properly cooked.Wait staff service was EXCELLENT.Victoria was just the best!!If your looking for a good breakfast come give this place a try!!

They have very good food! And, the atmosphere is just as great as the food . I recommend it to anyone who else who may be interested.! Thanks and have a wonderful and blessed evening!
