This is a fun little park, right near the post office on Southeastern. I noticed the splash pad area on my drives past it coming to and from the post office and took my visiting friend and her four kiddos there one day. They were much more impressed with this park than they were the 100 Acre Wood we went to first. Apparently, splash pads are the coolest thing ever. ;) The park itself is fairly small, but they do have bathrooms (locked or stuck shut the day I went, for some reason), some picnic seating, swings and playground equipment, and of course, the splash pad. If you're nearby, it's worth a visit!

This park is relatively new and takes advantage of the greenspace near the right of way needed for the large transmission lines. The actual entrance for parking is north of the post office off Wildwood Blvd (Miller Drive) instead of Southeastern. The park has lots of paved parking located near the shelter, playground, and splash park. There is also a grill and a few picnic tables in the shelter. The rest of the park is open space with a few mature trees, just not near the shelter and playgrounds. There is even a small pond on the south end of the park that extends around the post office down to Southeastern Ave. The playground has a lot of climbing pieces that look unlike the majority of playgrounds in the area, so if your kids like climbing and want to try something new, this might be a place to try. There are no trails here, but if the grass is dry, you can walk around since the area is relatively flat and open. Review #677

Living close to this park I see it being cleaned every morning.....although it saddens me deeply to see parents use it as a babysitter; which leads unruly children that need a good reckoning to litter where they live, use profanity, and do things they wouldn't do if their parents were watching. I like to visit when no one is there so my dogs can run because they have a huge beautiful field perfect for soccer, kite flying, dodgeball, setting up a volleyball net, or whatever tickles your fancy! There's a really cool playground for kids, and a cool huge swing suitable for multiple children! A really nice covered picnic area keeps birthday parties full swing along with a charcoal grill to feed those hungry kids summer hotdogs and hamburgers! Also in those hot, summer months we also offer a wonderful splash park for the little ones! So come cool off, take a load off.......Come and let your hair down at our family park! Enjoy what Wannamaker has to offer!!!

This new water pad was great the first year it was open but after calling 4 times this past summer to fix 2 of the broken water things nothing was ever done and no one showed up. But hey mayor "joke" hogsett posted on Twitter all about helping fishers/Carmel area on many things including a new golf course that "he couldn't wait to try out" I guess you have to be a rich neighborhood to matter to a politician
