White House Suites Plainfield

Visiting my uncle in the VA Hospital in Indy. I didn't feel like spending a lot of time looking for a local hotel to stay. A lot of the hotels were either very expensive or 'iffy' with the very low Yelp reviews. This place had good reviews and wasn't too far of a drive from the VA Hospital. I would highly recommend staying here. Very friendly service, reasonable rate and the room was CLEAN. And it's in a good area for food or coffee.

Friendly service. Room was clean, comfortable and well-furnished. Rates were reasonable, just a little more than motel 6. Will definitely return if I pass through the area again. Only thing I didn't like was the bright white ceiling lights without a bedside lamp as an alternative.

This is a clean hotel nice owners and I'd recommend staying here. This is not the Hilton but nice and clean inside and out you won't go wrong.

I always stay at Hilton's but there were absolutely no hotels available because of a conference in town. With that being said, I just happen to stop here to see if they had a room or I was going to have to sleep in car. They had a last minute cancellation and I was able to get a room. The price wasn't the cheapest at 125.00 but I wasn't complaining. I was pleasantly surprised on how clean it was. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and never have seen such a clean one. It is very basic. No alarm clock (most people use their smart phone), small tv, etc. No carpet but I cruelly prefer that because you can actually see how clean it is.

I have to say when we found out only queen beds wasn't sure if we were going to be happy. The beds were extremely comfortable. The place is very nice. The staff very friendly. I would recommend and definitely will be coming back. Place is clean.

I had an excellent one night stay. The property is well maintained inside and out. The room is simple, but large, very clean, comfortable and had a full size fridge and countertop stove. I was personally asked how my stay was on checkout. I did not see a single piece of trash in the parking lot. The hotel appears to be owner operated by people who care.

I've been staying here for a week and everyone is so nice and it's comfy they always greet you when you come in as well or when your in the hall

Staff was polite, rooms were clean, the only thing is the shower makes a train whistle sound and doesn't quit until u shut the water off

This place gives you stained and worn out linens. I guess they think because they wash them that people won't complain that the sheets are stained. I have uploaded a couple of photos but the stains may not come through very clearly. They also do not change out the mattress covers and comforters between guests, and probably not the pillow covers either. You would think the fact that we have been in a global pandemic that hotels would really step up their cleanliness but at the end of the day all they care about are costs. I also noticed that they use the same dirty mop water to mop the rooms here. If they had any sense, they wouldn't even use mop water but instead use a spray to saturate the floors and then go over it with a swifter type device and then change out the swifter sheet between rooms. This place just does not meet cleanliness expectations in general let alone for a global pandemic. I will also say that this does not fall on the shoulders of the housekeeping staff but rather the owner. The owner is perfectly happy to give people worn out, stained sheets, and not change out the comforters between guests. This place is nowhere near a 5-star hotel. In fact, I wouldn't even call it a hotel based on the fact that there aren't any amenities. Providing morning coffee in the lobby does not get you the distinction of a 5-star hotel. Lastly, the mattresses are cheap and uncomfortable and noisy.

The White House Suites is run by a wonderfully upstanding family whose genuine care surpasses most high-end establishments. My son stayed there for a ten-week internship. I was assured by the WHS owner that he would be well taken care of, which proved to be very true. All the reviews about cleanliness are indeed accurate. Unlike most hotels, they even wash the comforters on a regular basis. Three days after my son moved in, they called me to ask how he was doing and see if everything was up to our expectations, a gesture that was so appreciated. My son did not have a single complaint all summer, and was made to feel welcome on a consistent and daily basis. There were no noise or neighboring tenant issues at all. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and professional. Shawn's words are his bond--an old, golden standard not often found in today's world. Bravo, WHS!
