Watami Sushi offers a solid all-you-can-eat experience for $23.99 per person, which feels reasonable for the variety and quality of the food. The standout items include their sushi, dumplings, crab Rangoons, and rice, all of which were delicious and well-prepared. However, the salad, soup, udon noodles, and chicken dishes were just okay, lacking any special flair. The chicken wings were the least appetizing including looks, amount of edible portion, and taste. The service was attentive throughout our meal, and the addition of a fun robot delivering food to some tables added a unique touch to the dining experience--though we didn't get to interact with it personally. The restaurant's ordering system via iPads at each table was convenient and streamlined the process. Overall, Watami Sushi is a good choice for those looking to enjoy a variety of tasty dishes at a reasonable price, with a few standout items making it worth a visit.

This is an all you can eat sushi place that also includes appetizers, salad, dessert and various small plates for the non sushi lovers. The value of WATAMI is always so surprising. They offer many rolls and the portion size is more than fair. A few of the rolls are skimpy with fish and heavy on the avocado but as long as you pay attention you can get great value. The service is slow for the sushi, I recommend ordering sushi in batches rather than all at once to speed up the process.

I struggled between a 3 and a 4 star but based on just the service experience it needs to be a 3. I was part of a group of a graduation party on a Saturday evening - I'd say there were 15-18 of us total. We sat in a group of booths in the back. They were only slightly busy outside of our group. The group I went with was 95% African American. First off, the restaurant does not come across as being extremely clean. It's run-down and there are splashes of sauces on the walls. One of the forks at the table had to be exchanged because it had food stuck on it. They have Ipads on the table to order your items for the AYCE meal but they don't explain how it works and it is a little confusing. We figured it out. The food is really pretty tasty. The fried rice and spring rolls were excellent and I really enjoyed that the salad came with lots of dressing. The sushi was alright - honestly the pieces of salmon in it were a little big for my liking but the chicken teriyaki was declicious. It did take quite awhile to get our items once they were put in and they only had one waitress do all of the our group's tables. At no point could we get any drink refills, were never asked and sometimes we'd try to get the waitress but she would set things down so quickly you couldn't stop her. At the end of the meal a few of us ordered ice cream but only a portion of what we ordered came and it very much gave off a "you're done" vibe. So, the last couple items we ordered never came. When part of my table asked for the check she started getting kind of rude. They wanted 3 people on a check and she kept saying "there are 6 people at this table". This should have been asked when we sat down. Eventually many of us got up and started taking pictures - nobody was leaving and she started yelling about one of the tables not paying yet. She was extremely rude. (The checks all got paid). She even threw the check book down, aggressively, at one of the tables. At this point we knew they just didn't want us in the restaurant anymore and left as soon as they were satisfied that the bills were paid. It was a very unwelcoming experience. I liked the food but would not return to this location due to the rudeness of the wait staff. I'd try the other location. Not to mention they of course added 18% tip to every check when we couldn't even get a drink refill or all the items we ordered. I noticed their website talks about groups and catering - but they definitely don't know how to handle groups, especially if they are diverse.

Stopped for lunch, they only had the dinner menu $23.99 a person no other menu. We had 4 small rolls and 1 small piece of spicy tuna between us beer was old as hell... ended up 65 bucks. Go to pay and see another menu with order by the roll would have been around 30 bucks total. Ridiculous place zero English spoken. Sushi was decent. Bathroom was unflushed smelt accordingly. Dingy dining area our booth seat was broken. If this is good for you folks, you need to get out more.

I absolutely love Watami. One of their locations is near my house and I go there anytime I'm in the mood for sushi. They have this lo mien soup that I like to start off with. Great food and great service!!!

Nothing special. Quality of fish was just ok. I'd say if you're a sushi connoisseur this place is NOT for you if you just the casual sushi type or like "Americanized" sushi (lots of cream cheese, deep fried rolls, etc) you may be ok with it.

Trust me when I say, drive the distance and go to the one in Broad Ripple. The quality is better; the place is cleaner. The staff actually works and serves and doesn't play on their phone. The food here was subpar and I was very disappointed as I was expecting the same quality as the Watami in Broad Ripple. Couldn't even finish my miso soup cause it tasted like it was made with fish water. And the same delicious snow crab roll I get at BRipp was so fake and old and processed tasting here. Go to the one in Broad Ripple!!

Low quality fish, not fresh, got food poisoning after ordering the "Cooked Maki Roll", vomited 7 times in 2-3 hours. I heard the one in broad ripple is better. Beware.
