I went to Franklin as part of their annual holiday shopping weekend. Love shopping at the shops on Jefferson Street and this shop was no exception. Walking in to the shop you immediately got the holiday vibe. Most of the shop was dedicated to Christmas and it was do much fun checking out all of the holiday ornaments and the decor. I really loved the tall Christmas trees made out of old doors, people are ingenious. There were snow globes and mittens and so many fun things here.

I really enjoyed visiting Vintage Whimsy and it's one of my favorite shops in Franklin. The shop is broken into smaller rooms with items grouped attractively within similar styles but intertwined with unique pieces. The variety of items and styles are different from room to room. I found jewelry, purses, clothing, hats to primitive decor, antiques, glassware, candles and candlesticks, different styles of furniture and fresh greenery to name a few. The shop has a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. This is a terrific place to shop for gifts with the unique pieces and diversity of items and styles. I enjoyed finding items from antiques to current trends including clothing, jewelry and furniture. If you're shopping in Franklin make an effort to stop in.

This antique store has a number of rooms filled with a wide variety of large and small items. Some are antique, while other items are newer but have an eclectic appeal that seems to go with the time periods. The shop also has a number of small gift items as well. What I found surprising was how large the store was when I visited. From the front, I could only see a couple of the rooms, but when I worked my way around the rooms, I found a doorway that lead to the additional rooms in the back of the building that have some of the larger items.Review #996

I was in the area and saw Vintage Whimsy and thought I'd check it out. Walking up the sidewalk and steps to the door, we weren't sure what to expect. Are they open? Well.. the sign in the front says it is. Do we knock or just walk in? Is this someone's house? No, no, just go on in. We can always apologize later for mistaking this place as a business. We open the door, slowly. Victory! There's a cash register and someone behind it welcoming us in. Sure glad that moment's over..The place is an old house, and every room has been converted into different sections for antiques and vintage memorabilia. There were several tables and hutches that I wish I could find room for, along with some great frames begging for someone far more artsy and creative than me to snatch and do something with. My mind immediately thought of Sondra S and Joanna B.. this seems like a place they'd be right at home in. This is a place I'm going to have to visit on a fairly regular basis; my guess is that the merchandise rotates on a regular basis, and I bet I can find some pretty cool things here.

This store is adorable! It's located on Jefferson Street in a row of little antique/vintage/salvage shops and you can make an afternoon walking up and down. Make this the first stop though! The woman I talked to while in there was so kind and helpful in getting me what I needed. I don't know if she owned the small store or if she just worked there, but she can certainly carry on a conversation and was by far the friendliest person in the shops on this street. The booths inside are like an Etsy dream. Everything has the pastel shabby chic vibe and it's so lovely. The stairs up are very steep and the whole shop is creaky but it is an old home so going in you shouldn't expect anything else! This specific store also has a garden area and garage that's a step outside the back door that's open even when snow covers the ground. I'm sure the garden is beautiful when it's not covered in ice and snow!

One my favorite antique shops in town. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they have a great selection of goods on offer, ranging from antique china to vintage board games to fine furnishings and so on.

Fun Fun Fun place. Love the way they turned this house into a shop. At first I wasn't sure if they were open, but let myself right it. It really is, whimsical. The lady in the shop was super friendly as were the others shopping. I was given several recommendations on places to visit. I really, really just loved this place. They have so much beautiful stuff!!!

We love how the owner, Jennifer, finds the most delightfully wonderful ways to overcome the summer dead time in her shop! Her Whimsey and Blooms event was just the ticket to generate interest in and around the antique/vintage annual "dry spell". Now, if the other shops can get creative, sponsor some equally cool events, and join in the fun, we'll all benefit! Here's to a profitable summer!!
